What three skincare products couldn’t you live without?

...interested to see what people love. I can never seem to find the right product for my skin. I’ve spent a fortune over the years.

Well I don't know about 'couldn't live without', but the current things I always buy again and again are Aldi's dupes of Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, and Aldi Lacura multi intensive serum. I'm a cynic when it comes to skincare and I don't believe expensive brands are necessarily better, but I used to love the Liz Earle stuff... until I discovered Aldi's was just as good if not better, at a much cheaper price. I'd never used a serum before the Aldi one (didn't really know what it was!) and am actually astonished at the difference it makes to my skin.

justanotherneighinparadise · 10/10/2020 16:22

Vaseline
Astral
Glycolic pads

Anthilda · 10/10/2020 16:24

Aldi face wash
Nivea day cream
Hand cream

Spodge · 10/10/2020 16:26

Elemis Pro Collagen cleansing balm, marine cream and eye serum

EIRA3 · 10/10/2020 16:27

Nivea day cream
Smash box primeizer
Bio oil for my expanding pregnant belly!

Gwenhwyfar · 10/10/2020 16:27

The Glycolic pads do nothing for me. I have to use those old fashioned scrubs to see a difference.

LaBellina · 10/10/2020 16:28

Olive bar soap
Nivea soft cream
Sunscreen

Gwenhwyfar · 10/10/2020 16:28

My answer is the M&S fake tan drops. I can't think of anything else.

Ilikewinter · 10/10/2020 16:29

Tea tree and witch hazel face mask.
Serum
Primer
...and i need a fourth....vichey concealer!

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 10/10/2020 16:36

Oooh that’s difficult, but I would say that the products that have made the most difference to my skin and which I’ve consistently repurchased are:
Paula’s Choice BHA
Medik8 retinol
Caudalie Vinoperfect serum

Ellapaella · 10/10/2020 16:39

I love Neals Yard face wash, Amphora aromatics Rose and Frankinscence face cream and Olay eye make up remover.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 10/10/2020 16:46

Only 3? Basic routine it is.

DHC cleansing oil
The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10%
Shiseido spf50 wetforce

ChaChaCha2012 · 10/10/2020 16:51

Aveeno and Cetaphil.

Another one who has been through all the expensive stuff and gets just as good results with the basics.

Gingerbeerfear · 10/10/2020 16:53

Dove cream bars - I replaced face wash and shower gel with these and my skin (sensitive yet spot prone) has never been better.

Chanel Dimensions mascara - best I have found.

Vosene Original shampoo

Hopefully the saving on shower gel and fancy shampoo equates to enough for another Chanel mascara !

Aveeno's not cheap is it?
ScribblyGum · 10/10/2020 17:03

Clarins gentle foaming cleanser with shea butter.
L'Occitaine shea butter hand cream.
Freezyderm velvet face factor 50 sunscreen.

Three products in my life that I will never need to look for, or purchase an alternative for. So long as they keep making them, I'll keep buying them.

LaBellina · 10/10/2020 17:05

I see often Frezzyderm recommended here.

I know it's a Greek pharmacy brand.
Is it worth it to pay extra to order from Greece and what should I get?

KateCantab · 10/10/2020 17:06

Origins Ginzing tinted moisturiser
Superdrug hot cloth cleanser
Superdrug Optimum retinol treatment serum

My fourth item would be Aveeno blue cap moisturiser (it’s often on a promotion).

Frezyderm have a U.K. website and I just order from there.

I frequently re-buy REN Evercalm cleansing milk and Bio-Oil Gel too (which really helps with the psoriasis plaques on my knees and has given me the lovely side effect of very smooth legs!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 10/10/2020 17:35

I don't use much at all, so 3 is fine for me.

Micellar water - currently Simple but I tend to just buy whatever I see on offer
The Ordinary squalene oil - night
Revolution hyralaunic (or something like that) serum - day

Ineedflour · 10/10/2020 17:35

La Mer soft cream (it just feels really nice)
Clarins firming body cream
Lumea.

MadamShazam · 10/10/2020 18:02

Cerave smoothing cleanser
Garnier micellar water
Nivea soft.

1forAll74 · 10/10/2020 18:02

Vaseline
Wrights coal tar soap, or Pears soap.

diningroomfloorlady · 10/10/2020 18:15

Clinique take the day off cleansing balm
The ordinary glycolic acid toner
Cerave moisturiser

And you have to give me a fourth because SPF is so so so important, every day.

diningroomfloorlady · 10/10/2020 18:16

I use the Cetaphil spf 50z. Lovely, fragrance free and it lasts ages
