...interested to see what people love. I can never seem to find the right product for my skin. I’ve spent a fortune over the years.

-Glycolic acid toner - I use The Ordinary
-Hada Labo Premium Hyaluronic Acid - it must be used on damp skin (I have a rose water spray thing but I think bog standard water is fine) and then locked in with a little bit of moisturiser on top. Otherwise it does fuck all.
-SPF - I use Boots Soltan

winterinmadeira · 10/10/2020 18:44

Clarins blue orchid oil
Body shop vitamin E night cream
Divine cream

VinylDetective · 10/10/2020 18:48

The Facialist Rose cleansing balm
The Ordinary Hyaluronic acid serum
Lacuna (from Aldi) day cream for dry skin

I think I might try the Hada Hyaluronic acid on that recommendation.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 10/10/2020 18:56

CharlottesComplicatedWeb · 10/10/2020 19:04

Aveeno Colloidal Oats Cream. A staple in our household.

Clinique CityBlock spf40... the only spf that doesn’t leave a white cast on me.
My Rio 60 Second Face Lift. Has given me my cheeks back.

ConfusedDotty · 10/10/2020 19:04

Garnier face wash, Nivea and Aveeno. Tried loads and spent a fortune over the many many years. These are the only ones that get replaced everytime. I don't even bother looking at anything else anymore.

Sexnotgender · 10/10/2020 19:07

No7 protect and perfect serum.

Astral cream.

It’s all I use, don’t need anything else. Regularly get compliments on my skin. Well, I did before we had to cover our faces with masks.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 10/10/2020 19:11

Simple protecting moisturiser, superdrug 10% vit C serum, aldi night cream

DrDavidBanner · 10/10/2020 19:18

If we're just having 3 items, I'll have to multitast, although I'm pretty basic when it comes to my skin.

Dr Bronner Castile Soap
Simple Protect n Glow factor 30 moisturiser
Vitamin E or Blistex lipcream, but I'll probably go for vitamin E as it has more uses.

Ponks · 10/10/2020 19:49

Lancôme Miel en Mousse cleanser, love the feel and smell.

Boots No7 Protect and Perfect day moisturiser- used this for years, flirt with other moisturisers but keep coming back to this.

Vaseline intensive care had cream- sinks in quickly & does the job.

Thanks everyone, it’s interesting to see the things that everyone likes.

I need to be a bit more budget friendly atm so I’m trying to find products that will work but won’t cost the earth. I’ve noticed a few people have said ‘The Ordinary’ & heard mixed reviews on their stuff. I’ve used a couple of bits of theirs in the past but didn’t use it for a long period of time so couldn’t really tell if I liked it.
To the people that are using it currently. Do you rate it? Has it improved your skin etc? Did you look into which of their products would suit you, as they do so much!

  • Hada labo hyaluronic acid (or Dr Sebagh serum repair)
-Dr Jart ceramidin liquid
  • Origins Clean Energy Cleansing oil (been using it for years).

I think after trying a sample, my new holy grail is going to be Elizabeth Arden hyaluronic acid capsules...it's like an Angel has spat on my face when I use it, shame they are so expensive.

TableNiner · 10/10/2020 20:35

Repeat guys for me:

Cerave PM
Hada Labo HA serum
Eucerin SPF, various

VinylDetective · 10/10/2020 20:57

Oh God, I want to look as if an angel’s spat on my face! I’m sold.

emala · 10/10/2020 21:02

Sunday Riley Good Genes
Drunk Elephant Sunshine Drops
Fresh Rose Sleep mask

Franticbutterfly · 10/10/2020 21:59

@VinylDetective I didn't say I look like Angel has spat on my face (I wish) but it certainly feels like it. Skin feels (and looks) so hydrated after using the capsules for a few days.

"To the people that are using [The Ordinary] currently. Do you rate it? Has it improved your skin etc? Did you look into which of their products would suit you, as they do so much!

Overhyped imo.
