@OchonAgusOchonO

I just came across this

It looks like it could be a good option for a teenager.

Oooh, I have a preteen who would love to play with most of that! I can remove what I deem inappropriate for her and replace them with other bits I have.
Babysharkdoodoodood · 05/10/2020 23:42

Still haven't decided what to get. They all have skincare in, which I don't want.

Just want fragrance and high end make up. Think it's going to have to be Liberty on Wednesday. Or CT.

OchonAgusOchonO · 06/10/2020 00:03

@ithinkiveseenthisfilmbefore

Feel unique birthday bag offer valid until 7th october, btw.
Your post had convinced me to go for it. I went into the EU site, added the calendar plus a few bits. It added the birthday bag. I found another discount code (special15) to take 15% off. All good. Except when I went to checkout it took the birthday bag out of my basket as it's only for UK customers. Pretty poor form. Don't add it to my basket and then take it off me.

I'm sulking now and not buying it.

OchonAgusOchonO · 06/10/2020 00:15

I take it all back. I went in through the EU site, rather than changing the UK to EU and it says to use the code fifteenth to get the beauty bag.

So, I got the lumene calendar, added enough to make it up to €120, used the code special15 and got it all €102.

Happy days.

LoveEatYoga · 06/10/2020 08:02

Could I have got the birthday bag with my LF calendar?

Have I missed a trick there?

clary · 06/10/2020 08:07

aargh you people! That FeelUnique offer was too good to miss eh, got advent, free bag, Elemis facial wash, two lip balms dd loves and a couple of samples for 101 with ochon's free code! Happy days indeed

foilflower · 06/10/2020 08:25

No, you had to have spent £100. I had just over £100 in my basket and it came up automatically, along with the free Lumene product.

RozHuntleysStump · 06/10/2020 08:38

God help me, now I have:

White Company
Elemis
H&B
L'Occitane
Arran
Hilltop Cloud (spinning fibre)

Excessive?!

OchonAgusOchonO · 06/10/2020 08:57

I'm starting to think i should back away from this thread Grin

But it's been a crap year for us all and a few treats are really good for us. Plus the daily threads make the opening much more fun.

I'm definitely not buying anymore though.

LoveEatYoga · 06/10/2020 08:58

I'd have spent £100 if I'd know!

But then DH did buy me this one and probably wouldn't have wanted to spend more and so I should probably just be grateful

I think I'm addicted to buying Beauty Advents, rather than anything else.

I'm getting them for so many people as 'a little treat in a difficult year'!

Luvacuppatea · 06/10/2020 10:42

Anyone else got early access to the Liberty calendar? I’m so, so tempted now.........

Coniferhedge · 06/10/2020 10:47

@Babysharkdoodoodood I agree with you! I'm happy with my skin care regime so not really interested in trying different skin care products. I'd love a perfume and/or just make up calendar.

Pomegranatespompom · 06/10/2020 10:50

@Luvacuppatea no, strange as I buy every year, that’s exciting though.

Pomegranatespompom · 06/10/2020 10:51

Just checked email - I’m going to order now and also for my bf.

Luvacuppatea · 06/10/2020 11:14

@Pomegranatespompom - I’ve succumbed and ordered too. I had decided that I wasn’t going to get Liberty this year, but I have zero willpower and know I will regret not having this calendar come 1st December 😊.

Pomegranatespompom · 06/10/2020 11:36

@Luvacuppatea ordered Smile

I did hesitate slightly as now over £200 but I think the products are better than last years. I will try and forget what they are now. I also buy for my bf, I feel like I've gone a bit ott with her gift this year Grin I hope it doesn't keep increasing in price, I don't really want to change our Christmas routine !

I was interested in the F&M calendar but that sold out before I made up my mind. I'm sharing a calendar with work friends, I normally get the M and s one as well. So do I need another ....

iguanadonna · 06/10/2020 11:45

What do you think about the L'Occitane fancy one v. ordinary one?

Pomegranatespompom · 06/10/2020 11:48

I looked at these in store, the fancy one has better products imo, I thought had more skin care and the sizes looked a bit more generous. I only had a quick look though.

foilflower · 06/10/2020 11:57

I’m happy with my skincare regime too (I have Lancome/ Dermalogica cleansers and moisturisers that I have used for years and use for most of the year as they work for me) but I still love trying new skincare products every now and again, particularly hydrating ones. I used to be really into make-up and buy it regularly but now I’m a SAHM it’s wasted on me as I have all the make-up/ perfumes that I need.

iguanadonna · 06/10/2020 11:59

@Pomegranatespompom thank you. I can't get to a shop and it's difficult to get a proper sense of them online.

Pomegranatespompom · 06/10/2020 12:03

@iguanadonna John Lewis have 15% off the cheaper one, I don't think they had the luxury one in stock. I think if you want skincare, the luxury once is better. Have you looked @ L'occitane online? They have the details of both on there.

DIKateFleming · 06/10/2020 12:20

Does anyone know what time the Liberty one goes on general sale tomorrow? After years of the M&S one, would like to treat myself.

Has anyone tried to Harpers Bazaar box, also looks good if I can’t get the liberty one

Pomegranatespompom · 06/10/2020 12:22

It’s normally midnight, but I order when I get up for work in the morning so 0530/0600 and it’s always been in stock.

BookSkark · 06/10/2020 12:53

Well, my Net A Porter calendar has arrived and it's satisfyingly heavy! I've peeked in each box to check that's everything's there, but without actually looking at the contents.

I'm mostly in it for the skincare as I don't wear much make up, so looking forward to trying a few new brands come December.

Think I'm going to stop there though. Having seen the size of it, I think getting another one would be unnecessarily extravagant! Now I just need to fill DS's advent calendar, and we're good to go. Bring on December!
