Beauty Advent Calendars 2020 - Part 2

Best time of the beauty year.

I was tempted by the Kiehls calendar last year but this year it doesn't look very good value, the sizes in the standard calendar are tiny and the Selfridges version is too expensive for me.

I got the Kiehls calendar in 2017 and 2018 and loved it, but yes, lots of the contents are sample sized, which makes it expensive for what it is.
I have found that if you go for a single brand, the calendar offerings are almost identical each year.

My dealings with liberty are still without results. I am going to let it go until next tuesday and start calling if I have not received either advent, confirmation that one is being shipped or refund. I feel sorry for their customer service tbh as I feel they were not prepared or staffed to answer the queries and are probably under huge pressure

Mine is listed under Dispatched orders but the status is Order Placed. Looks like yours is further along than mine.

See I thought mine hadn't progressed at all but couldn't remember what it had said before but that is comforting.

I hope yours moves along too.

Like I've said before, I'm not in a rush to get it as long as it gets here by December!

Sharp It depends what you want - a multi brand one? More skincare or make up? If you don't mind knowing what's in them there are some good videos and Really Ree gives a good round up. I've gone gone Look Fantastic (£845) and Holland & Barrett but I'm not up to date with what's in stock and what isn't.

I obviously don't know if will happen this year, but I picked up a Harrods Advent Calendar for half price - I think it was around Black Friday last year. So that was around £125.

Might be worth risking?

It's a weird one, isn't it.

I gave it to SIL - she is VERY hard to buy for, and I felt that this would give her some lovely new products to try. Funnily enough, her DD called me this week to ask about them, as they were so good.

I give DD a calendar before Christmas (or two this year!)

I have got one for each of my nieces, and I think I will give them for December, and just say it's an early Christmas present.

I'm also giving one as a 60th birthday present at the end of this month, and another as a 'pick me up', to an 80 year old friend who is struggling.

So my hours spent on this thread haven't gone to waste!

Thats a good idea re seeing if Black Friday offers. I definitely need a 2nd.

It says it when I click on that part of the page, EatPrayYoga. I ordered on 21/09.

Actually mine now says processing - it definitely said order placed earlier.

I think the bar might have gone up a bit too so I think processing might come afterwards.

I know that contradicts what I said earlier but the bar is further on in mine, which is what triggered my vague notion that processing comes at the beginning.

Maybe the processing was for the other parts of the order that I have received.
