Beauty Advent Calendars 2020 - Part 2

Best time of the beauty year.

I just popped over to the CB site ... sold out. Wow!

I've been refreshing cult beauty page since 2pm and now it's sold out. It's the only calendar I wanted really. Does anyone have any suggestions for a mainly skincare one that I could get instead please?

@ajandjjmum Hermes get a lot of flack (and I’ve seen why via things shared on social media!!) but personally I’ve never had a problem with anything coming from them. I get a Hermes delivery probably twice a week and nothing has ever gone missing, been chronically damaged, left in a bin, launched over a fence etc. Fingers crossed everyone’s calendars arrive in one piece! You watch, this will be my first item to be run over

My Arran calendar arrived today and lasted all of 5mins before I ripped open every window and had a smell and a play! Zero self control!
It was a reasonably good price at £40 and I'll enjoy trying the little bottles, but wouldn't get it again. They look too much like basic hotel minis and some of the smells aren't my cup of tea being quite green rather than my favourite florals/gourmand scents.
That said, the little candles are adorable- the soft cinnamon one smells divine.

My feel unique calendar arrived today, the free gift is coming on weds, can’t wait now I know it’s good. Wouldn’t have ordered it if it wasn’t for you lot!!

My look fantastic order now says placed instead of processing and expected delivery was today, no tracking details though so who knows!

I missed out on cult beauty despite trying since 10am. I did manage to get space nk one with blue light discount for £165 so am happy enough!

The By Terry one actually looks quite nice for anyone who missed out on a mix of make up and skin care calendar that they wanted.

reckon i might get the Liberty one and one other.... not sure which other yet!

If I hadn’t stocked up with Elemis from QVC I would have bought the advent. It’s the same brand, obviously so no surprises exactly but I love it all so much.
So, I will use up the Elemis and start the H&B. I will gift what I really don’t fancy.
By the time it gets to this time next year I will pitch for Elemis. The packaging was so beautiful this year as well.

I'm a tad concerned about the geographical knowledge of Feelunique. When I checked the tracking, it's status is:
ARRIVED IN COUNTRY / NON EU
PRESENTED TO CUSTOMS

Last time I looked, Ireland was very much still in the EU.

At least when I look at Further tracking, it brings me to an Irish site and it shows as having landed in Ireland. So I should have it tomorrow or the day after.

That's exactly how I felt about it last year.

I opened all of my Elemis calendar today! I wanted to arrange the products into ranges before I start using them. The packaging is lovely, I feel that I should make myself another advent calendar with it!

Haha, I do that too! Rip everything open, have a smell of every item, arrange everything into 'ranges' on my shelf and revisit periodically! I was very fond of playing 'shops' as a little girl and it reminds me of that!

I've just looked on eBay and the CB calendar is selling for crazy money! Completed listings sold for £345 for example. Wish I'd bought 2!!

I had a CB in my basket this morning but had a stern talk to myself about over spending and closed the page. I normally go for the M&S one but have got the Space NK one. I really liked the CB one but when I counted the products I really wanted, the Space NK one was the winner.

I do have the last three years M&S boxes in the loft and I am wondering what to do with them. I’ve got various bits from Beauty Boxes that are unopened so might try selling an advent bundle.

Wow so many listings for LF advent on eBay! Someone us asking £450 for it! But actually there are bids for some beyond £200.

Bit sad really if ppl are buying them to sell. They are surely a lovely treat not a money-making opportunity.

I don't think selling them at a premium on eBay should be allowed

Liberty are really annoying me. Ordered on 7th, no update - order sits like open. Money taken out of my account and all my emails asking them to update me are unanswered. What is going on with them?

Right, and they don't respond at all on my attempts to find out what is going on. Not even to acknowledge my question! First time trying to buy anything from them and nothing like space nk & cult beauty where I usually shop and you can get response on the day or in the very worse case next day

Have you tried tweeting - I find that normally gets a faster response? Mine has arrived too - worth holding out for - looks beautiful and really substantial. So irritating when you get ignored though!
