What does everyone buy?

If you've found this page in search of tights that have been tried and tested by fellow Mumsnet users, you might find our guide to the best tights useful. Hope this helps! MNHQ

Marks and Spencer's

Leggings! Unless you need tights to look super smart? Because apart from the seams, thin leggings do a much better job. With ankle boots so you don’t see the bottom.

Areyousureted · 23/09/2020 09:50

Which leggings in particular do you think? I tired some white stuff ones but they got wrinkly and baggy quickly. Sorry I am not very educated fashion wise !

Snag Tights. So comfortable. There is plenty of stretch in them so I recommend that you size down if you are borderline between two sizes, especially if you are short to avoid excess at the ankle.

WarriorsComeOutToPlayay · 23/09/2020 09:52

Snag tights are the answer. My tights were always falling downs before.

Northernsoullover · 23/09/2020 09:53

I buy fleece lined thermal footless tights from Tesco (leggings in my world) they are incredibly comfortable and the only 'tights' that I don't have to wear an extra pair of knickers over. Obviously I can only wear them with boots. For normal tights I have never found a pair I don't have to wear superman pants over. I've heard good things about Snag tights but I like completely opaque thick ones which they don't seem to do.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 23/09/2020 09:54

I buy Lands' End Starfish leggings, I've had one pair for at least six years and it's been washed loads and it's still holding its shape. They are expensive so sign up to get emails from them and wait for an offer, they usually do something like 30% off full price every couple of months. The Starfish slim leg jersey trousers are great too, I wear them to the gym.

Thank you I will research these options 😊

Northernsoullover Snag have 120 denier and wool tights. Here

AriettyHomily · 23/09/2020 11:20

Tights look much better than leggings unless super casual. They really shouldn't fall down. Size up.

I like Falke (£££) but m and s body sensor tights are lovely.

ODFOx · 23/09/2020 11:30

Snag! They are brilliant. I'm so glad that someone on here recommended them to me!

Hazelnutlatteplease · 23/09/2020 11:30

M&S tights. Primark fluffy "velvet lined leggings" when it is colder and you are wearing boots.

Mistymonday · 23/09/2020 11:36

M&s luxury ones, high denier count. Last me years and I am not one who treats clothing carefully!

Mistymonday · 23/09/2020 11:37

Snag were ok too but they laddered a bit too easily for me (I always get hangnails stuck, you might be different).

Llamapolice · 23/09/2020 11:49

In terms of fit and comfort snag are amazing, so cosy. They do snag but I've still found them better on that score than m&s.

ZolaGrey · 23/09/2020 11:56

Snag.

SerenityNowwwww · 23/09/2020 11:57

Wear a second pair of pants over the tights. Avoids your rights crotch drooping to your knees!

StylishMummy · 23/09/2020 12:01

Snag tights - amazing things

tofuschnitzel · 23/09/2020 12:50

I like the 100 denier tights from Primark. I used to buy M&S tights, but they are expensive for higher denier tights and also sold separately. A lot of the higher denier tights that I tried from M&S did not have much give in them. I've been buying Primark tights for a few years now, they are really comfy.

Moltenpink · 23/09/2020 12:51

Snag

cravingthelook · 23/09/2020 12:52

M&S Autograph seamfree tights

Seriously I'll never wear tights with seams again

BestIsWest · 23/09/2020 12:55

Snag here too.

2Kidsinatrenchcoat · 23/09/2020 12:57

I’m quite tall and sainsburys tights are the only ones I’ve found so far that don’t fall down

DonLewis · 23/09/2020 12:57

Snags all the way!
