I live the shell bunny dress. How is their sizing ? I need an 18 from Lady V but 16 from supermarkets and Joe Browns

This is such a lovely thread and as a size 19 it’s encouraging & inspiring me. Love the pinafores, I’ve always been ashamed of my size but I love clothes & colours so always a big fight going on in my head.

Hi all. Thought I'd join in again. Out for dinner last night. Dress from simply be, jacket is a really old newlook jacket, boots from yours clothing and Little primark hoops. Size 28 here 😊.

Love the dress @2000lightyearsaway123! How do you find SimplyBe sizing - I've not tried them yet?

@DottyDotAgain thanks you. they carry different brands so it really does depends but they actually simply be branded clothing I find to be quite true to size and sometimes on the generous side.

Today not worth photographing but I am wearing marks and Spencer's black sports leggings with white go-faster stripes and a Brakeburn hoody.

I'm casual today, will be popping into the office later this afternoon so will give my new cameo jacket its first outing. Excuse the mess I was putting away summer stuff then we got a heatwave :/

Thank you! I'm not entirely convinced I don't look like a twat, but I've decided to embrace the OP's philosophy of wearing what pleases me as opposed to what's "flattering". No outfit on earth is going to make me look not-fat, so I might as well embrace it.

I'm still fighting against the residual internal voice that insists I should be wearing "slimming" clothes and not high-waisted baggy things that triple the size of my arse. I care about it a lot less than I did this time last year though.

Haven't posted anything lately because I haven't worn anything different. Today I dressed for winter and the sun is out again. Can't complain though! I took off my cardi as its sweltering.
I feel like the bra gods are shouting 'hoik em up love!' but this bra is comfy, so its literally - tough titties.

Just been looking through this thread as I now have a 2 and a half year old and it's about time I started to try and wear clothes I feel good in again. I'm a size 16 now, hourglass shape and 5 foot 7.

The first thing I've bought is a pair of black skinny jeans, not very exciting I know but I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to jeans so tried on (ordered online) lots of pairs and one pair really stood out. Unbelievably they were from Newlook and only about £28! They are called contour jeans, I really want to recommend them for curvy ladies. They are high waist, super stretch and pull everything in but they are also a great thick material. The other jeans I tried were the m&s magic skinny jeans but they were too "baggy" at the bottom, next hypercurve but these were too low cut at the back, Topshop jonis- didn't hold much in, Topshop jamies- too low waisted, simply be shape & sculpt- material horrible and cheap. I found with all the other jeans I got lines running horizontally across my legs, like they had been stuffed in there 🤣 and it wasn't a good look. Not with the Newlook ones- they are perfect!

Anyway, hope that helps if anyone else is looking for a good pair of black skinny jeans and I look forward to seeing more outfits, some great ideas here!

Also looking for recommendations for a coat that's casual without being padded or too "scruffy" looking, if anyone has ideas?

Today’s outfit: skirt from Hell Bunny (if you were on the last thread you may remember I was considering buying the pinafore. I went for the skirt instead), black short-sleeved jumper, tights from M&S, ancient DMs. This is the first time I have worn the skirt. I am quite pleased with it. It has proper pockets!
