They have these exact pair at a catalogue surplus place near my work for £30! I looked at them only today.

I don't like them but I can't figure out what it is about them I don't like. The sole? The tweedy tongue?

I'm a big Moda in Pelle fan and they do a lot of leather high tops like these and these (although both out of stock). They're not a million miles away from the ones you posted and one even has a very similar zip but I like these much better.

They look like male shoes. If you are a woman and planning to wear them, then please don't. Hideous

I’m not being funny Winter but if I was in a relationship with a man who wore such monstrosities on his feet when we were out together then I’d be gently telling him it’s me or the shoes. Doesn’t matter if they are meant for men or women...they are hideous either way!

They’re Vera boots, from the telly!

She can carry them off with a floral shirt, corduroy skirt, thick stockings and a khaki trench. And always a skinny scarf plus sensible rain hat.

Somewhere in between. I’ve seen a lot worse and they look quite sturdy. As @Ironmanrocks says, a bit like monkey boots in style, which isn’t a bad thing.

I think they might be comfortable for walking through the woods etc.The are not hideous though, just footwear for a certain purpose.
