What to do with curly hair? Pics

Just as the title really. I follow the CGM. Quite happy with the curls (albeit a bit frizzy this evening). But sometimes think it is just a bit shapeless/no real style. Added with the grey I think I need to do something to just make the shape better?

Any thoughts? Opinions. Can take bluntness and honesty so hit me with it.

A few more layers? Piecey bits around my cheekbones? Cut it shorter? Grow it longer? Do I have any stylish options you could recommend?
Help please?

Go to a hairdresser for curly hair, it looks so good but a few slightly shorter layers will give it a bit more shape.

Im all for embracing the grey but the pps are right, i wouldnt wear grey too, its a bit drab. Any bright colours or pattern tops? You would look fab x

Also, someone else mentioned a side parting instead if centre? Your previous photo had some hair down slightly over your face, its very flattering.

You have amazing eyelashes!

Your hair and face are just stunning and your eyes are lovely. Your 'before' pic is a lot like my hair at the moment. I've tried the CGM but my hair is really fine so it gets weighed down and greasy v easily so I give up after a while. But I'd love hair like yoursSmile

More floofing! Turn your head upside down, get your fingers in at your scalp and shake up your curls. Or pick and separate your curls to add extra volume

I think the colour and over all length look really good, some shorter layers to help give it some oomph and a side part/side fringeness would look cracking.

curly girl here - I usually have something useful to say in these circumstances but your hair looks fab. Just a good trim and agree with PP, pick them out a bit more with an afro pic. But honestly, there is not much I would change. Your hair looks fab!!!

and move maybe the parting to one side to create a sort slightly more asymmetrical look. I think this could look great on you.

Just caught up on this - thank you.

Will try more of a side parting next wash day.

General consensus is to not change anything drastically - so will just aim for trimming the slightly scraggy ends at my cut. means I can stop trawling Pinterest and Google Images, thank heavens

Your hair looks incredible! All I can see is that the grey of your t shirt does nothing for you. The turquoise in the second photo brings your whole face to life!

Totally agree with the colours you wear!

Your skin tone is really warm and such bright eyes, the dull T-shirt’s does nothing for you!

Do you have a pink T-shirt? Blue or peach?

Take some photos in those and you’ll see what we mean

Shorter, a bob, longer at front and a fringe look very elegant with your sort of lovely curls.

I love both the shape and the colour. I can't not have a fringe, it looks ridiculous on me, but if I had a different face shape I would love to have this sort of cut. I also think the lipstick in the last pic suits you very well.

Your hair looks great. The grey t-shirt is not good on you.

Your hair is fab! Agree with pp - wear some bright colours - the turquoise on you lifted you.

Sorry I agree with everyone else, it's the grey t-shirt! The turquoise and different parting look fabulous.
I do feel compelled to share my favourite curly pixie cut, just in case you want to go there:

I think you look absolutely stunning as is! But if you want to have a bit more shape.. maybe start growing a bit so the front gets longer and keep the back shorter so it’s a kind of an angle. Love the colour!

OK, so hair wash day today and I styled with a side parting. I am not convinced...but that is probably because I see the huge white streak at the front, the less curly bit at the front (could probably train this to ringlet better) the weird cowlicky thing. (Also I think day 2 or 3 hair looks better than wash day hair).

So opinions on side parting please? I think centre looks better - but willing to listen to others and see if I can get it better.

I can see the coloured jumper looks better than the grey. Forgot lipstick must buy some

It isn't once your hair "gets it" if that makes sense. Just wash/condition - albeit with conditioner rather than shampoo. A bit of extra work to squish in the conditioner and then gel/product but not much.

To be honest the ability to have day 2/3/4 hair as opposed to having to wet it or wash it each day is bliss half an hour longer in bed

But - it was a faff to start with to find the right routine/product.

I think either side or middle parting suits you but the side parting makes it look a little more styled.

This thread has inspired me to start the CG method again after failing at the beginning of lockdown. Am only on day 2 but am enjoying the freedom already!

You look great all ways. I can't wear grey either which is annoying as its a nice neutral, but it makes me look ill. Black I look like a goth and white ends up grey due to washing mishaps. Definitely avoid the grey tops.

It makes me want to do CG too! But is your hair quite thick to start with? Mine is very fine and limp. Any tips?!

Pink or lilac highlights. Just go a little crazy
