Are they worth it?

I'm 5'7, size 10-12 with a round bum, it's where I carry my weight and so far it's still perky which is very lucky and I want to make the most of it as long as I can Grin

Legs would be a 10 - in bottoms I buy a 12 to accommodate the aforementioned arse.

What size would you suggest I get?

Do they really not fade / ladder?

I want to believe the hype!

Thry are the only tights I have ever felt comfy in. I dotn wear them that much to comment on fading etc as they have only been washed once.

I dont find them much more expensive anyway

Thank you! As always their sizes are 8-10 and 12-14 but I'm a 10-12! Would you suggest going up or down size wise? Just realised they have a 'prominent bum' option so I'm narrowing down options at least!

They are fab. Their sizing is their own style, use the size chart.

But they have stretch. Are you closer to 10 or 12? I’m a 14-16 but go for big bum 12-14. I’m also quite tall though.

They are worth every penny. They keep colour and rarely hole/ladder.

I’ve converted so many people that I wish I was on commission!

Kindlingwood · 31/08/2020 13:13

And to have made me look at their website to check size guide. So I now blame you for me buying more!

Legs are an average 10, arse is definitely a full 12... so I think I will size up to the 12-14 option?

They do a lot of stealth marketing on here!

newnameforthis123 · 31/08/2020 17:28

Ooh do they? I'm in PR so conscious of stuff like that but haven't spotted them on here! I could probably get freebies if I outed myself but I'm too scared to do it 😂

Going against the grain to say I haven't been happy with mine. They snag really easily and fall down all the time. They also aren't as opaque as I'd like. I've reverted to M&S!

HermioneWeasley · 31/08/2020 18:34

I love mine - really comfortable and mine haven’t snagged and wash well.

I’m a 14-16 and 5’5” and I take a size D, which I find generous

aliasname · 31/08/2020 18:40

Absolutely love mine. I do get holes in the toes, but maybe I've just got sharp toenails. The waist is the most comfortable I've ever worn, and now they do footless-tights I don't need to worry about the toes.

Am wearing a pair of chub rubs right now. Just wish they did more neutral colours.

Doccomplaint · 31/08/2020 18:42

They’re really really comfy the comfiest I’ve ever worn, and they don’t roll down.

But they snag like bejesus. I only get one wear out of most of them and at £8 a pair I’m disappointed.

MimsyBorogroves · 31/08/2020 18:49

Very good fit on the waist. Don't roll down, sit nicely. Look lovely.

But.

Snag like fuck. I have had 4 pairs where I've only had one wear out of them and they've either snagged or laddered. The first time I emailed customer service and they were great at replacing. I haven't bothered since as I think they'll think I'm taking the piss.

My thighs also get sore in them sometimes which they don't in M&S ones.

damnthatanxiety · 31/08/2020 19:14

So they snag??? How do they get away with saying they don't?

ATowelAndAPotato · 31/08/2020 19:21

I would not size up, the “big bum” option should account for you normally sizing up. I love them, no rolling, so comfy!

newnameforthis123 · 31/08/2020 19:28

Ooh mixed reviews now on here! Not sure what to do. Might forego a couple of treats like wine this week and think of it as that money in my head, just get some and try...

I am a 10 leg and full 12 bum I would say, but basically don't want anything that is tight enough it flattens my arse because I've worked bloody hard to make it round!

frustrationcentral · 31/08/2020 19:30

I've been wearing the chub rub shorts this summer and honestly they've changed my life. I've never been able to comfortable wear dresses! No problems with laddering and they've never fallen down. Very comfortable

I wear size F - am a size curvy 18-20 and they're generous

My only thing is you have to be careful to hand wash, my bright pink ones particularly run when washing

SherryPalmer · 31/08/2020 19:31

I also found they snagged first wear, bought four pairs as well and chucked out a load of other tights based on the great reviews

And agree with a PP, about the stealth marketing. I’ve seen threads similar to this one be deleted for not being legit (not casting any aspersions about this thread but just that “have you tried snag tights” OPs followed by a lot of glowing reviews make me a bit sceptical now.

EnglishGirlApproximately · 31/08/2020 19:31

I'd size down I find them bit saggy at the ankle otherwise. I've got opaques that I've had well over a year that haven't faded or snagged. The chub rub shorts are an absolute game changer in summer.

OneRingToRuleThemAll · 31/08/2020 19:35

Snag tights are fantastic. I'm 5'7" size 10-12 and wear a size c.

ZZGirl · 31/08/2020 19:46

I could not recommend them more! I love the fabric, the feel and the fit, I've had absolutely no issue with them.
I'm 5"2, size 14-16 and wear a D

newnameforthis123 · 31/08/2020 20:00

Totally appreciate people worrying this is stealth marketing but I'm now maybe less likely to buy them as they have snagged for a variety of people in here, so it's definitely not the case!

OP posts:
purpleme12 · 31/08/2020 20:21

They're always coming up on my Facebook and I have wondered if I should buy them...
Most of the people modelling are plus size it made me think they were for plus size people but the other day I saw they even go down to size 4! (Not that I'm that small at all!)
But I am short
And I'm tempted by the chub rub shorts too...
I never buy clothes online so feel a bit risky

MerryGoRoundBrain · 31/08/2020 20:27

They’re comfy but snag like fuck. For black opaque tights, only Primark for me! Size 18 and I’m very tall. I love them all but the shapewear type ones are hands down the best tights I’ve ever worn.

wewillmeetagain · 31/08/2020 20:27

They are the most comfortable tights I've ever worn

LoriesGar · 31/08/2020 20:40

I’ve purchased the tights at the beginning of summer but haven’t worn them yet. I’ve had three pairs of the chub rub shorts since last summer and they’re still going strong. I wear a dress maybe twice a month, but they’re better than cycle shorts on my s20 thighs.
