Snag tights. Talk to me.

Are they worth it?

I'm 5'7, size 10-12 with a round bum, it's where I carry my weight and so far it's still perky which is very lucky and I want to make the most of it as long as I can Grin

Legs would be a 10 - in bottoms I buy a 12 to accommodate the aforementioned arse.

What size would you suggest I get?

Do they really not fade / ladder?

I want to believe the hype!

I'm surprised about the snagging comments. Maybe they have bad batches?

I'm a fan of the chub rubs. The tights haven't snagged but they do wrinkle a bit at the ankle. I probably need to size down- I'm not overly tall, but big of thigh bum and tum. What I'll actually do is go for footless.

It's wonderful to have tights that don't pinch and twist at the tight points!

The colours are gorgeous.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 31/08/2020 20:47

The black opaque ones I bought were completely rubbish - not very opaque, and snagged on the first wear. The navy were a bit better, but I definitely wouldn’t buy again.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 31/08/2020 20:48

The fit is great, I've had one pair snag the first day but the other 5 pairs I got are still going strong. They can look a bit shiny compared to other tights, I slightly prefer the feel of the material of M&S ones, but would still pick these as they are really comfy.

purpleme12 · 31/08/2020 21:11

Mmm very mixed reviews
Their Facebook comments are always glowing

dicksplash · 31/08/2020 21:16

They are the best tights I've ever had. Just bought three more pairs to start the new (academic) year as a treat.

I'm very over weight though so struggle to find tights that fit me. I would assume a healthy weight person could manage cheaper tights.

They are lovely and fit so well.

RuthW · 31/08/2020 21:17

They are fqb but come up big, so size down.

EmiIyStAubert · 31/08/2020 21:20

I'm size 10 and ordered down a size as they're really quite roomy. One pair did indeed snag, but they're so lovely and comfortable, that I'd purchase more.

BikeRunSki · 31/08/2020 21:22

The light ones snag like anything. The heavier denier ones are marvellous. Use tgr size guide.

Fatted · 31/08/2020 21:24

I don't rate them. I can't work out their sizing. I got one size and they were too long in the leg and sagging around the ankles. I got the size down and they were too tight and kept rolling down at the waist.

I got ones that are apparently similar from another website. They were good for about three washes and the elastic has now given up. I'm ready to give up on tights.

ilovesooty · 31/08/2020 21:26

I love mine and the customer service is fantastic.

User45 · 31/08/2020 21:37

I hated mine - way too big and falling down despite using their chart properly. And I was a big size 20 at the time so not used to things falling down!

On the other hand I found their chub rub shorts amazing.

Shitonthebloodything · 31/08/2020 21:43

I love them, binned all my non snag ones now and haven’t had any snags in any of mine - I’m not especially careful either.

toomanypillows · 31/08/2020 21:43

I love them. The only tights I have ever felt comfy in and I'm really surprised at the comments saying they snag - I have about 10 pairs and none have ever snagged - the "builders tea" sheer ones have so far lasted me over 18 months and still have their shape.

I love the colours too. I wash them on a cold (eco) wash and none have ever run

purpleme12 · 31/08/2020 21:43

Why is every comment on there Facebook glowing then?!

CherryPavlova · 31/08/2020 21:47

I love mine, as do our daughters. I’m old, 5’ 6” size 14. Daughters are 4’11” size 6 and 5’8” size 8/10. We’ve all had sizes that fit well and don’t fall down.
Lovely colours (mostly). Wash well. No problems with durability. I bought several buy now get one free later vouchers and am looking forward to buying a dozen pairs for the winter.

MrsSchadenfreude · 31/08/2020 21:48

I find the very sheer ones snag easily. Have not had any problems with the opaques or fishnets.

snapple21 · 31/08/2020 21:49

I wear mine daily (nhs) and they are the first comfortable tights I've had that don't fall down!

Mrspimplepopper · 31/08/2020 21:53

I'd definitely recommend them, for me its the breathableness (I just made up that word) no sweaty arse or fanny. The material is super super soft, they don't roll down

Drogonssmile · 31/08/2020 21:53

I didn't get on with them. I have sensory issues around not liking anything tight around my waist and thought these might help but following their sizing they were still too tight in the middle and the legs were so long I looked like Norah Batty. I've gone back to M&S ones and snipping the waistband. I'm 5'5" and 10.5st. Size 12 bottoms.

MrsOrMiss · 31/08/2020 21:54

I followed their sizing and bought 4 pairs.

I was disappointed with every pair. All varying sizes of too big - I'm overweight and under tall - the navy pair cover my boobs Hmm.

I won't buy them again.

ThickFast · 31/08/2020 21:58

All of mine snagged within the first few hours of wearing them. Before lunch. I’ve never had that with tights before. One pair got a hole and the other two for those weird dark lines like a thread had been pulled. Gutted as they are really comfy. I wish they did a higher denier. So I won’t be buying them again

Doccomplaint · 31/08/2020 21:59

Mine were the 80 denier opaque. I was really disappointed.

TigerDroveAgain · 31/08/2020 21:59

I love them! Last time I posted on a Snag thread it was deleted so I assume there is stealth marketing!

I’m 5’5” and a round apple, probably about a 20. I like the 50 denier better than the 80 but have had no snagging problems apart from catching on my boot zip, which isn’t Snag’s fault.

BigRedBoat · 31/08/2020 22:01

They were ok, if they were the same price as supermarket tights I would pick them as they are really comfy but I just didn't think they were worth the price tag. They were a bit saggy on the ankle, I don't think the sizing quite worked for me (tried 2 sizes) as I'm not quite tall enough for tall but on the upper end of the range for standard. If you're into coloured tights I think they would be good as they have a great selection but for plain black I'd pass.

purpleme12 · 31/08/2020 22:02

Are they not good for short people then?
