@HumousWhereTheHeartIs yes sorry, I guess my point was that if mumsnet saw a load of us were name changing on this thread they’d be deleting posts all the time, but they haven’t been. So I agree, it sounds like bollocks!

HumousWhereTheHeartIs · 25/09/2020 11:41

@TrashPandaTime I was agreeing...but it sounded like I was challenging you.

TrashPandaTime · 25/09/2020 11:50

@HumousWhereTheHeartIs that’s what I dislike about online forums, I often sound aggressive when I don’t mean to at all! So easy to misunderstand people.

HumousWhereTheHeartIs · 25/09/2020 11:53

@TrashPandaTime So hard to tell...I could ALMOST understand why a certain stylist may read some criticism and feel attacked - apart from the fact that it has always been made clear that this is abut her business and not her.

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 25/09/2020 13:21

I re-read the statement and this bit jumped out at me: “will be providing customers with a more bespoke service”. So there is some acknowledgement that the service so far has been poor. But what I don’t understand is how you can deliver a body shape analysis, colour analysis and make up suggestions and it NOT be bespoke already?! Because otherwise you’re essentially just...making it up as you go along Confused

HumousWhereTheHeartIs · 25/09/2020 13:57

Just thought that if these two women are guilty of harassment which the post states is a criminal offence, why is she having to deal with it herself by paying a lawyer to send letters?

Brogues · 25/09/2020 14:12

Is it the same as applying to get a non-molestation order so it becomes a much more cut and dried criminal offence if it is breeched?

Mydarlingsleepthief · 25/09/2020 14:13

So she’s essentially saying there’s only 2 dissatisfied customers, and they are sock puppeting her company.

That’s some mega minimising of her current situation! Shock

Atalune · 25/09/2020 15:56

It just seems to get weirder and weirder.

VioletWillow · 25/09/2020 16:53

The more I think about it the more I think that this strange statement (that is utter fantasy) has been written just to get everyone to talk about her again. I suspect the poor woman is quite ill. She will get no more of my air time, along with no more of my business. She is clearly unhinged, to quote a popular MN phrase 😀

HumousWhereTheHeartIs · 25/09/2020 17:06

@VioletWillow I tend to agree with you. It feels like a very sad cry for pity.

MrsSchadenfreude · 25/09/2020 17:10

This just gets weirder and weirder!

TrashPandaTime · 25/09/2020 17:15

@VioletWillow I had just reached this conclusion myself.

There is no way she can tell who is who between here and the other site that we must not mention. Unless some of us choose the same names or similar of course Grin She may have been able to link some people up to Trust Pilot if a poster referenced their review, but to claim that she knows posters have been name changing and she knows who is who can not be true.

So if she’s lying we have to ask why? What does she gain from posting that here and on Instagram? Only attention. Not more customers, as quite frankly this shit show is a poor advertisement for her, whoever is wrong or right here.

But it isn’t good attention that’s she getting, or even that many people talking about it all. It just gets us going again, saying she’s lying and so on. There’s probably max 20 of us bored on a Friday dipping in and out of the discussion. So either she desperately wants attention whether positive or negative, or she wants someone/some people to say something that she can do something useful with eg something mean so she can claim bullying. And if she’s currently in that state of mind she can’t be happy.

Cocolapew · 25/09/2020 17:21

The statement was posted on the SBS FB page this morning. It was followed by people fawning over it, telling her how awful it must be and how loved she is. Not forgetting the old favourite they're just jealous Hmm.
I think the people who said it's to get people talking about/to her again might be correct.

TrashPandaTime · 25/09/2020 17:30

@Cocolapew I just went and looked. I can’t imagine being one of the poor women who susie sent a letter to and reading those posts from susie’s “supporters”.

If this isn’t bullying then I don’t know what is. She’s scared a few women by sending legal threats, then on top of that is encouraging others to be rude about them publicly on Facebook.

Cocolapew · 25/09/2020 17:33

It's just so odd.

kevinn · 25/09/2020 18:23

My god, what an absolute shit show.

HumousWhereTheHeartIs · 25/09/2020 18:46

I just read the post and comments on the Facebook page and it makes more sense now. It's all about the pity. Why else would someone post publicly about private legal matters? If the situation has been dealt with and you have nothing to hide, why post?
The lady doth protest too much, methinks

LivingDeadGirlUK · 25/09/2020 18:50

I"m really shocked at the statement, but I shouldn't be really. She has outright lied from the beginning with her clains photos were being posted on forums, she never apologised or tried to clarify this and it looks like just making stuff up to justify or divert from shitty behaviour is going to be her game plan from now on.

I believe all the women who have come forward after recieving these letters and I hope they get some kind of resolution from this.

TrashPandaTime · 25/09/2020 19:08

Also she “can’t allow comments for legal reasons” on Instagram but fb is a free for all, with us being called vile, trolls, sad individuals, bullies, hate filled, and all the other bullshit that is apparently ok to be flung at us, but not in the other direction.

MrsSchadenfreude · 26/09/2020 06:10

I’ve just re-read the statement. How can you know who someone is from Internet forums if they are using aliases and/or name changing regularly? Surely under GDPR, a forum such as MN wouldn’t be able to give any details that they hold on you to a third party, on the basis that you might have posted something unpleasant about them? Or they would at least have to contact you and let you know that your details had been requested and why? Otherwise I don’t know how they would find out that SingingChihuahua, DarrensMomma and Joanne Bloggs were the same person?

Nonamesavail · 26/09/2020 07:32

definitely lies and attention seeking. She needs help.

YettaTessieMarmelstein · 26/09/2020 08:36

I actually felt sorry for Susie when I first read that post, but then something bothered me about it. She says that the two legal letters aren’t in response to reviews on Trust Pilot, but they arrived after those reviewers has been asked to verify their details. Other people refused to do this and didn’t receive a letter. But what is bothering me is that none of the reviews were unfair or unkind. Every poor review says the same thing - mistakes, generic info, no feedback, other people getting the same ‘bespoke’ analyses etc. So why would she even follow up on them if she didn’t want to silence the reviews? There was nothing in any of the reviews I read - and I read all the negative ones before leaving mine - that could be seen as harassing or inflammatory. They all have similar complaints.
Also Susie tends to silence people and shut things down. The Facebook group wouldn’t allow negative comments, disappointed customers had no voice to complain, several of these threads have been closed through lawyer, no comments allowed on certain posts, now this. This all follows lies and twists about these forums.
It is the strangest way to run a business. The services offered are very average. The results are unreliable. The treatment of customers is awful.

Ironfloor269 · 26/09/2020 09:47

I think sooner rather than later her customers and potential customers are going to cotton on to who Susie really is and going to vote with their feet. Eventually her business will decimate to the ground. But I don't think she will be too bothered. What she wants to attention and she'll find another way to get that...

TofinoSurf · 26/09/2020 09:59

She said she isn't bothered about the trustpilot reviews. However you can openly see SBS have requested more details from those that have left a negative review (you would usually expect it to be so they could try to resolve) and not one single person on trustpilot, MN, Facebook or other forums has come back and said they have had any response at all, never mind a satisfactory one. There are far too many people across multiple platforms complaining about SBS and being silenced for me to believe anything SBS say. It's all words at the moment. Still no actual action to respond to unhappy customers who have spent money with them.

To think if the early complaints had been handled and resolved properly and the business made a few changes, like any decent business would do, none of this would have ever happened. SBS need to take responsibility rather than keep pointing fingers at those with valid complaints.

Frenchic paint are another business this week heading down a similar path to SBS due to silencing customers and now their TP
negative reviews are also soaring. There is something about this online/social media way of business that needs exposing.
