happyandloved please don't worry. They don't have a case at all as everything you said is true. How scummy of them to try and scare people into submission like this. True colours showing, methinks. I hoe you are ok.

WowStarsWow · 18/09/2020 14:09

Hope, obviously!

Ironfloor269 · 18/09/2020 14:09

So what Susie actually meant when she posted on Instagram that she's taken on board the feedback and is going to change is stoop to new levels of shadiness and intimidation.

Just when I thought Styled by Susie couldn't get any worse, she rises to the occasion! What a shambles.

TrashPandaTime · 18/09/2020 14:13

@happyandloved but how did they know you’d posted on here? We’re all anonymous, they have no idea who is who.

Is it a legitimate letter from a lawyer?

I’m pissed off for you, you shouldn’t be all stressed and worried about this Flowers and I’ll reiterate again for susie’s and whoever else is “helping” her... this is bullying, try to #bekind maybe?!

Atalune · 18/09/2020 14:18

happy.

It’s all hooey- hoping a legal letter will give people the shits and scare them away. You’re fine. I would ignore it completely or if you of any solicitors in RL let them have a read for a laugh.

WowStarsWow · 18/09/2020 14:21

happyandloved I too am angry for you. Just thinking about what a shock it must have been to get that letter and how it's affected your day. Please please please try to ignore it and get on with enjoying your weekend. You have done nothing wrong. And I can't write on here what I now think of Susie or it'd be deleted.

Teazels · 18/09/2020 14:34

Maybe you and the other victims of this silencing campaign should do a Daily Mail sadface article, that would be a kick in the sponge to SBS!

Seriously though, I'm sorry for anyone who is feeling shaken by this.

I think it was based on her review of SBS on Trust Pilot, not on here.

Geggs · 18/09/2020 14:49

Change your username. Start a new anon account. Protect yourself from the bullies.

TrashPandaTime · 18/09/2020 15:14

@Ironfloor269 she said “... libel and defamation on here...” so I assume they’re just sending the same cease and desist style email to everyone and hoping it scares those that have posted on mumsnet to delete their posts.

They can clearly link up real names with negative trust pilot reviews but you can’t prove who is who on here. Which must annoy them immensely Grin

pangolina · 18/09/2020 15:26

How they can think this will do anything other than worsen her reputation is utterly baffling! I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt but this is truly shameful. She should be contacting disappointed customers to offer an apology and gain some valuable feedback, not threatening them with farcical lawsuits.

It is the strangest and worst possible way to run a business.
I said up the thread that I hope Susie is okay. I felt a bit sorry for her. Now that think she knows exactly what she is doing. She is bullying people into silence. It is disgusting and shocking.

citykat · 18/09/2020 15:47

You don’t need a solicitor as you haven’t done anything wrong. Would love to know if all this breaches Trust Pilot’s rules.

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 18/09/2020 15:49

That is absolutely appalling @happyandloved. That’s got to be a MHS move, surely?! Maybe worth getting yourself on Tattle to work with other people who’ve had one

LoriesGar · 18/09/2020 15:50

@happyandloved Check your insurance policies (contents, buildings) Often there is free legal cover

Sorry to hear you’re having a rotten time

TrashPandaTime · 18/09/2020 15:56

I would be very surprised if mumsnet can give out our email addresses unless it’s to the police. If they were giving them out to anyone who asked I would consider that a massive GDPR breach.

@happyandloved massive hugs to you Flowers I’m sorry she’s making you feel like shit and ruining your weekend by adding this stress.

Geggs · 18/09/2020 15:57

It’s going to cost HER a lot of money. If your review is fact and true, they don’t have a leg to stand on.

citykat · 18/09/2020 16:01

MSH hasn’t read the Trust Pilot user guide.

That Trustpilot guidance sounds like someone wrote it with SBS in mind.

Teazels · 18/09/2020 16:08

@happyandloved so sorry you're going through this crap.
Don't be intimidated by these bullies, its going to cost her much more money if she carries on in this vein.

WowStarsWow · 18/09/2020 16:21

On Trustpilot SBS say:

"Unfortunately we are unable to identify you from your review, and therefore unable to check our customer records. This means we have no way to rectify any possible mistakes, or address your concerns. If you'd like the opportunity to be reanalysed or for us to rectify any possible mistakes, please email [email protected]."

So you either leave a negative review anonymously and they publicly accuse you of not bothering to feed back, or you can provide them with your details and they will send you a cease and desist letter from a solicitor to try and scare you into removing your review?

Disgusting.

WawLaDot · 18/09/2020 16:41

I can't find it on their facebook or Instagram, unless it was only in the Tribe group, but I remember when they announced they had claimed their trust pilot, the post said something along the lines of "so people can read about SBS, good and bad"... so how does that work if they threaten people leaving negative reviews and try to get them taken down? Or is it that they appealed to trust pilot but they have upheld the reviews so now SBS are taking matters in their own hands by threatening reviewers?

Here's a thought, make sure your product is up to scratch, give your customers a safe way to broach any problems and provide good customer service or else dont spit your dummy out when you get a load of shite reviews!
