I'm not sure how I feel about Emily being in the new fb group. On the one hand, she seems like a really nice person and the best stylist in SBS. On the other, she is still an employee of Susie and what benefit does she get from being in the group other than to be a mole? She herself commented on the post yesterday saying she has no agenda and she might not be able to participate much in discussions. Then why would she be a member of the group?

I have a hunch that Susie has 'planted' her there knowing that she is the most likeable stylist of the group and the least suspicious.

Having said that though, there's nothing secretive going on in the group. Just women and stylists exchanging ideas and opinions etc, so there's nothing to hide.

@Atalune What do you mean about language in the PDF being on brand and letting it go?

Atalune · 04/09/2020 15:31

I mean the the whole “hey babes!” “ you’re amazing!!” People have been complaining that it sounds fake, but I think that is just her brand. It’s all babes and hun and you’re totes fab! Cutting and pasting is bad but the tone or whatever is just the brand voice.

YettaTessieMarmelstein · 04/09/2020 15:32

@Atalune ah okay. I thought you were defending the content. The platitudes I can deal with!

Atalune · 04/09/2020 15:34

Does that make sense @YettaTessieMarmelstein

YettaTessieMarmelstein · 04/09/2020 15:37

Total sense! That aspect of the analysis didn’t bother me. I supposed all shops and services have a voice. I can’t bear Boden’s!

DontBeShelfish · 04/09/2020 15:37

@Bekindnotabully

Has the death of Caroline flack not taught you women anything?

Ripping down someone for fun and trying to ruin her buisness is nothing more than playground bullying.

If you've got nothing nice to say , say nothing

I find the constant invoking of poor Caroline Flack pretty repellent, if I'm honest. I've followed the threads here and there have rarely been any personal comments levelled at Susie herself. The business is the issue. It's not bullying to complain about a shit service.
Pepperwand · 04/09/2020 17:14

@Ironfloor269 my immediate thought about Emily joining the new FB group was that she's unhappy with the decisions Susie has made and was scouting out the potential for going it alone.

If Susie wanted to spy on the new group surely she'd get someone to create a fake profile and do it that way, not have one of the most popular stylists join openly and under her own name.

I personally don't care if she wants to spy anyway, what is she going to say? They're chatting about fashion....still chatting about fashion.....still chatting...."

Bekindnotabully · 04/09/2020 17:30

I have seen that I've been quoted on tattle.

It's obvious that the same trolls on tattle post here so there's no point trying to reason with a bunch of trolls.

GingerAndTheBiscuits · 04/09/2020 17:31

Both forums are public so anyone can copy and paste (like SBS stylists :D) without having to be a member of the other.

IndecentFeminist · 04/09/2020 17:31

I hate to point out that you came here, not the other way round. People having a conversation you don't like isn't trolling.

GossipGirl39 · 04/09/2020 17:37

I don’t know what you’re not seeing, are you actually reading the comments?

People aren’t trolling Susie, and they aren’t personally attacking her.

They aren’t happy with a service they have received, and with the communication received when advising the business about their poor service.

If you ate at a terrible restaurant would you complain, leave a bad review on tripadvisor? And then if no one tried to rectify it, you might vent frustration on a forum?

That’s all that is happening here. If you have a business you need to be open to all sorts of criticism, and accept and deal with the bad...not ignore it...or challenge it. First rule of customer service whether you like it or not is that the customer is always right....

YettaTessieMarmelstein · 04/09/2020 17:43

It is not trolling to say you’ve had a poor experience of a service.
It is not personal. Sadly @Bekindnotabully you are trying to make it so for some reason. No one here has anything against any individual person. In fact, some people have said Susie seems lovely and they feel bad for her. And there is always lots of love for Emily. The others haven’t even been mentioned I don’t think.

glowinthebark · 04/09/2020 17:47

@Bekindnotabully

There has been vile bullying on both here and tattle life. It's been so bad Susie had to get lots of posts deleted.

She's having the worst week of her life. Her whole family is supported by her buisness. I'm all for constructive criticism but the hate and venom has been awful to watch. The world would be a better place if we supported women, rather than trying to tear them down.

Namaste

If I was supporting my whole family through my business then I would have worked damn hard to ensure its longevity through engaging with my dissatisfied client base rather than silencing them.

The latter is a pretty risky strategy, and guess what...? It's backfired.

Ironfloor269 · 04/09/2020 17:48

@Pepperwand you have a point. However, unless Emily was seriously considering going rogue, would she use her actual fb account to join? I mean, Susie is bound to find out and go ballistic surely. Also, when people asked her to go solo in her Instagram comments section, she said that's very kind but she loves working with the girls at SBS.

glowinthebark · 04/09/2020 17:49

Emily is lovely IMO. She's had a positive reception on the new FB group.

She's be daft to stay on the sinking ship Susie. I hope she goes it alone and learns valuable business lessons from her boss.

Ironfloor269 · 04/09/2020 17:52

Is @Bekindnotabully Susie's big sister? 😂

Also, @Bekindnotabully still hasn't answered the collective questions about poor customer service on the part of SBS and Susie's threatening responses to dissatisfied clients...

Ironfloor269 · 04/09/2020 17:53

If Emily girs solo, I'm definitely buying a style session with her.

MabelMoo23 · 04/09/2020 18:19

If you want to do something helpful @Bekindnotabully then I’d suggest telling Susie to ditch Main Street Hustle. Who is overly aggressive and quite frankly the one steering this shit show

I feel for Susie I really do, I’ve bought services. I work in client services and the way people are being treated now by SBS is staggering. She’s been so badly advised. From some chick on Instagram saying she’s going to make a million before 2025. I mean seriously. Boasting about how much money they think they’ll make is not a good way to attract and keep clients.

Pepperwand · 04/09/2020 18:51

Also,@Bekindnotabullystill hasn't answered the collective questions about poor customer service on the part of SBS and Susie's threatening responses to dissatisfied clients...

This is what it boils down to for me, complete failure to engage constructively. When the announcement was made about moving to Patreon and closing the Facebook group there were over 1000 generally well thought out, measured responses with legitimate concerns and feedback. They haven't been addressed, just brushed under the carpet with talk of trolling (of which I've seen none) and doxxing her son (when this was a passing reference to him not in malice and she herself named him in the Daily Mail.) I've always liked Susie so it's been such a shame to see someone annihilate their own business like this. She has been spectacularly badly advised.

YettaTessieMarmelstein · 04/09/2020 19:14

I think three things have maybe happened.
The business suddenly had enormous popularity and reach. It was expanded quickly and people were spread thin. The business felt invincible.
There was some criticism and disappointed customers which came as a shock after the success. Advice was sought to try to end the criticism and not for marketing purposes.

SwearsBySomething · 04/09/2020 19:51

I just tried to look at Trust Pilot for SBS... seems it is broken...??

I think she's actually Main Street Hustle, or whatever that woman is called who's given Susie shit advice.
