@YettaTessieMarmelstein, I agree. (Yetta is one of my family names.)

Surely the best thing to do would be to keep the FB group going, and give “sneak peeks” of what people could get from the subscription service to tempt them and reel them in? Not bang, off you fuck, unless you want to pay for this service that we’re not showing you till you sign up. Or a month free and then a paywall kicks in. The FB group has to have been the best free advertising ever.

MrsSchadenfreude · 03/09/2020 16:39

I also find the two newest stylists utterly unmemorable in their “style”. Whether you like or don’t like the others, I think they do have their own sense of style and look distinctive.

Ironfloor269 · 03/09/2020 17:06

Maybe if Susie wore more appropriate clothes for the business meeting with that hustle lady instead of sodding bicycle shorts, perhaps she'd have got better advice....? 😂😂

WineGetsMeThroughIt · 03/09/2020 18:16

@Ironfloor269 The Main Hustle business advisor had been a member of SBS's FB group for a couple years. She's now an admin in the group and having to deal with the downfall of her business advice.

I wonder if she hustled Susie to work with her or if Susie hustled her? 🤔

Looks like they both joined hands and tried to hustle us!!

Mammabear31 · 03/09/2020 19:27

I see that the SBS team are replying to the TP reviews....

peaceanddove · 03/09/2020 20:38

I don't understand how the 'stylists' can charge when they don't have professional qualifications or fashion industry experience?

. . I be completely fair, I think some do. Doesn't mean I think they're sense of style is amazing, but I guess there's a stylist for everyone.

Most appear to be online learnings, but details are listed here: styledbysusie.co.uk/meet-the-stylists/

I’d never heard of SBS until I saw threads on MN a while ago. I then looked into getting an analysis but was put off by reviews on the apparent lack of good basic customer service. It seems a shame to bring down your business reputation with such an easily avoidable situation. I hope she can repair this. Just listen to your customers and make them happy!
Her son is named in one of her IG Stories anyway maybe she hasn’t realised?!

Bekindnotabully · 04/09/2020 08:37

Has the death of Caroline flack not taught you women anything?

Ripping down someone for fun and trying to ruin her buisness is nothing more than playground bullying.

If you've got nothing nice to say , say nothing

@Bekindnotabully
We are disappointed customers, not bullies. That is ridiculous! If we were talking about Amazon’s customer service and business changes, no one would care. Because Susie is the face of the company doesn’t make any of this a personal attack.

Pepperwand · 04/09/2020 08:53

I have never bullied anyone in my life. We are grown women entitled to a say on poor customer service. I have nothing against Susie and I wish her well but I'm allowed to say that as a paying customer I've been treated shockingly by SBS. Why on earth shouldn't we say something when a business treats its customers badly? Criticism of a business is not a personal attack as Yetta said.

Atalune · 04/09/2020 09:00

Oh hey Susie! I think your obsession with the tragic death of CF is very unhealthy.

You probably ought to stop reading these threads as you simply are unable to engage with them meaningfully and can only seem to stamp your feet and call bully. Which isn’t very constructive.

Many people are dissatisfied with the service, the cut and paste jobs, and the silencing. The silencing isn’t sisterhood. It’s erasure.

YettaTessieMarmelstein · 04/09/2020 09:12

I have to say the idea of this business - affordable high street styling and giving women confidence in choosing clothes - is great. We would all like to know what colours and styles suit us.
But clothes and style are very individual and when the advice you pay for isn’t tailored specifically to you and can’t be queried without unpleasantness, it is a problem. Susie, as a person in her videos, I find extremely likeable. My views on Styled by Susie as a business are separate from the person.

OrangeCinnamon1 · 04/09/2020 09:16

This is the trouble with the rise of 'influencers' it's all well and good when they are making money via social media and their business with their brand but they can't extract themselves if anything negative is said. On the whole I find anyone who bases their business around their insta personality quite unprofessional when things go wrong.
The whole #bekind stuff does not apply to businesses fgs...can you imagine ? Why should they be treated like not a business just because you have an insta account?

The 'Don't Say Anything' mantra is just as shit ...another way to silence mainly women! When SBS starts calling out the Daily Mail instead of female dominated forum posts of people unhappy with their business there will be authenticity. Until then perhaps it would be useful to stop concentrating on CF and start looking at customer service, their product ect.

PimlicoJo · 04/09/2020 09:28

Yetta I agree with everything you say.

MrsSchadenfreude · 04/09/2020 09:37

@YettaTessieMarmelstein has put it in a nutshell.

@Bekindnotabully there has been no bullying at all on this thread. There has been criticism of a business but no bullying or anything personal. No “ripping down of someone for fun” or “trying to ruin their business.” There has been a lot of constructive criticism for the business, and praise for the concept, which I would have thought that someone who ran their own business would find incredibly helpful.

Bekindnotabully · 04/09/2020 09:53

There has been vile bullying on both here and tattle life. It's been so bad Susie had to get lots of posts deleted.

She's having the worst week of her life. Her whole family is supported by her buisness. I'm all for constructive criticism but the hate and venom has been awful to watch. The world would be a better place if we supported women, rather than trying to tear them down.

Namaste

Mamagotskills · 04/09/2020 09:55

You don’t see Duncan bannatyne crying on insta when someone complains about his gyms, susie needs to separate her name and her business.

Mamagotskills · 04/09/2020 10:00

@Bekindnotabully it’s not bullying to complain about a paid for service that doesn’t deliver.

  1. She took terrible business advice
  2. She should have listened to the constructive feedback and criticisms
  3. She should have implemented changes based on 2
  4. She shouldn’t have tried to silence people with genuine grievances for so long

I have nothing against her as a person but she’s taking a great business idea and turning it into a car crash by seemingly being too fragile to run it professionally.

If I was her I’d get someone in to actually manage the business and customer service while she focuses on insta lives and doing personal shops etc

Bekindnotabully · 04/09/2020 10:06

Why not write to susie with constructive criticism?

Not bombing her with 1 star reviews and gossiping on forums loving that someone's world is burning down.

Mamagotskills · 04/09/2020 10:07

Are you missing the point? We did, it was totally dismissed

BlackCatsRule88 · 04/09/2020 10:14

@Bekindnotabully

Why not write to susie with constructive criticism?

Not bombing her with 1 star reviews and gossiping on forums loving that someone's world is burning down.

But people DID write to her and were shot down.

Sorry, but people are allowed opinions. Styled by Susie were happy to get them when they were positive, but when people express their negative experiences we’re all supposed to shut up? The world doesn’t work like that. At the end of the day, a company took people’s money and didn’t deliver. If you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Mamagotskills · 04/09/2020 10:22

Ps @Bekindnotabully people are giving HER 1 reviews, they are giving the business 1 reviews
