So did Emily

Squintybumcheek · 02/09/2020 20:18

First time in weeks the hair analysis hasn't sold out in seconds!

kitschplease · 02/09/2020 20:21

yetta sounds like my shops list - it was a brainstorm of the British High Streeet :D

WineGetsMeThroughIt · 02/09/2020 20:23

@Geggs @happyandloved Has Susie not? So she is shying away from the camera and having them do it and take any criticism? 🤔

I had a really rubbish analysis with SBS.... complained and got a refund

guidedogneeded · 02/09/2020 21:57

Swearsbysomething- how on earth did you manage that? What points did you make to them? So many people just seem to have been blocked for questioning it.

I've been reading all this since Sunday and it's been a revelation.
I thought it was my fault for not loving my analysis because I don't love my body.
I had an on line shop too and was under whelmed.
Thank you for opening my eyes!

PimlicoJo · 03/09/2020 06:58

I've joined the new FB page and I've been quite shocked at how much the previous page was censored. I knew that negative comments were discouraged and deleted but didn't realise how many posts were stopped by admin. I think it's good that these women can now ask their questions and express their views.

I think Susie has made the wrong decision, but I hope that it takes the direction she wants. It would be a good outcome if everyone gained from the changes.

HumousWhereTheHeartIs · 03/09/2020 07:42

The thing is that the new page isn't censored, yet I haven't found anything unkind at all. IN fact, it feels much more honest and supportive.

Pepperwand · 03/09/2020 08:02

I've also been impressed with the new page. It never seemed helpful to me to not allow constructive criticism, as long as it was done in a kind way. If I put a picture of myself up because I'm not sure of my outfit it's not helpful to just have a load of "OMG hun you look great" comments if I don't! I'd much rather be told that something isn't quite right or suggestions for trying something different.

There are lots of example facebook groups that can successfully moderate. Mrs Gloss and The Goss seems to do it quite well. Perhaps they'd rather concentrate on moderating critical comments against their business rather than their customers. Who knows ? Dischord has a terrible rep as a platform though. I just despise the fact they are being totally disingenuous about it. Implying Mumsnet is to blame when there are clearly big issues customer service wise. Sorry still annoyed.

Someone has posted in the original SBS group that they joined patreon and discord and decided they would just be a member for a month. They cancelled their ongoing membership so that they wouldn’t forget at the end of the month and be charged, and were immediately kicked from the group.
So this lady paid for a full months membership but was removed after 3 days just because she didn’t want to continue long term.
Despite the responses on Trustpilot nothing has changed.

Oh wow that's shocking! They're like the North Korea of Facebook groups/communities!

It's good people are speaking out now though.

She HAS been told in the comments though that she will be reinstated till the end of the month, to be fair. It’s patreon that boots you out when you cancel, not SBS.
ilovecherries · 03/09/2020 10:02

If you cancel via your PayPal sub rather than through your patreon dashboard it runs till the end of the period.

Geggs · 03/09/2020 10:26

That’s good to know. But just goes to show the level of trust people have of SBS now.

PimlicoJo · 03/09/2020 10:34

She has been reinstated. It's a fledgling operation so things will take time to settle down.

MabelMoo23 · 03/09/2020 10:41

Problem is, SBS has been SO shady - although I blame Main Street Hustle, that everyone instantly assumes it’s the fault of SBS that she’s been kicked out, rather than the fault of Patreon.

Which as someone else said, it just goes to show the lack of trust now towards SBS

Geggs · 03/09/2020 11:23

I also think this whole thing has been the fault of Main Street Hustle. I think SBS has been advised terribly.

MabelMoo23 · 03/09/2020 11:56

@Geggs totally agree. I’ve followed Susie for a couple of years now and it seems like a different company. I work in client services and I’m appalled at the way people are being treated.

I honestly think she’s been so badly advised - bloody social media is important, but it’s not everything. How successful someone boasts to be on Instagram and getting followers is not the way to choose a company!

How you treat people from customers to suppliers is absolutely the most important thing

YettaTessieMarmelstein · 03/09/2020 14:38

It is a real shame. But I think some of the problems go back further than the new marketing strategy. There are lots of customers who are unhappy with their analysis who haven’t been able to get help.

SwearsBySomething · 03/09/2020 16:32

Mine was done just before Kim was started, she was still in training. It said she will start on x date, however she did my analysis before actually starting. I pointed this out and said i would not have brought it if i knew it would be with kim who shouldn't even be working then, pointed out the inadequecies in it and that was it, got a refund, they did offer an analysis with Susie instead but i didn't want it as i was so pissed off at what had been sent..
