*it would be of no use

YettaTessieMarmelstein · 01/09/2020 19:42

Yes and it is a very concise message that sums everything in one go

TrashPandaTime · 01/09/2020 19:47

I hope any susie fans who come looking on mumsnet to find the “nasty”, “vile”, “trolls” who are sharing photos from the fb group, read this thread and the old one, and realise what susie’s said is a load of shite.

I don’t think any pictures from fb were shared. We mentioned people by description a few times, but not to snark or be mean, to say that susie had analysed them incorrectly.

But susie doesn’t seem to like us saying this. She doesn’t like her customers who have had a bad experience sharing that experience on a public forum. And you have to think why. Is it because we truly are nasty, mean people on here? Or is it because she doesn’t want to correct her poor advice to people and admit she was wrong?

Geggs · 01/09/2020 20:08

@MamaMoon16 main hustle school insta is still there, I can see it.

Flowerpot1278 · 01/09/2020 20:34

I was a defender of Susie in one of the first threads, as I found my analysis quite useful. But this is a spectacular messing up of a business and someone should have rolled her back from acting in the height of emotion - she’s basically been faced with a small (but vocal) minority of unhappy customers that could have been placated with good customer service, and a business model that needed updating. But after these recent outbursts, I now feel totally negative about the brand and definitely won’t be subscribing or buying any future styling products. And the unprofessional lashing out today is ridiculous - the vast majority on tattle and mumsnet just had legitimate feedback, and I already knew her son’s name via Mhairi and it’s definitely there in one of her own Daily Mail articles, so it’s really unfair to use that as a sympathy tool!

The Daily Mail love hacks me off big time. So her son's name is plastered over these articles yet it is supposed to be devastating that it is on tattle or whatever is called? The Daily Mail hosts unmoderated comments sections but Mumsnet are the danger to female empowerment?

The other one has bells on.

KitNCaboodle · 01/09/2020 22:30

@MamaMoon16

Has main school hustle instagram been shut down? I can't see it anymore...

Also. The screen shot of a nasty comment on Susie's Instagram stories was snapped 3 seconds after it was posted. That is QUICK?? Seems almost a bit too quick?

So she read the post and then took a screen shot within 3 seconds? Wow!
Adwodeabo · 02/09/2020 00:13

Looking at this from a business point of view I totally understand why the marketing person has told her to axe the FB group. The time spent moderating the group is unpaid and could probably be more profitably used. The user generated content has value and transferring it to a paid app allows her to gate and monetise it.

However... the marketing person has done a rubbish job of implementing the change. The correct approach would be to run the paid app alongside the FB page and provide sneak peeks and teasers. Let the devoted fans transfer across and come back to say how great it is. As the quality of content declines in the main group and increases in the app, more will make the switch. At the end she could even have handed over the group to be continued by fans. The way it’s been done, basically telling people they’re being booted from the community in a few days unless they cough up, is very antagonistic.

I don’t buy that it’s about protecting women or avoiding trolling etc. Nor should it be. It’s a financial decision made by a business based on cost-benefit analysis. This insistence that it’s not about money is disingenuous.

OrangeCinnamon1 · 02/09/2020 07:30

I do wonder how exactly they would stop people taking screenshots, that is what they were saying is the issue Facebook wasn't safe enough etc. The only app I've ever come across that does this relates to online banking.

IndecentFeminist · 02/09/2020 08:53

Has the group gone already or have I been booted and blocked?

TudorChimney · 02/09/2020 08:57

I have joined the new Styled by Susie group and it is really rather good - discounts and lots of useful tips. You are missing out!

StealthNinjaMum · 02/09/2020 09:05

tudor some people can’t afford it.

IndecentFeminist · 02/09/2020 09:11

Some can't afford it, some don't want to. I've joined the spin off group on Facebook, it's good

Mamagotskills · 02/09/2020 09:18

Tudor, I could afford it but don’t want to. It’s no longer a business with the kind of ethics I want to support. It’s gone all mean girl. Also, her faux upset at her sons name being shared when she had publicly named him in the daily mail of all rags was the final nail for me... full on playing the victim, then the reshare of a supportive post 3 SECONDS after it was originally posted - I no longer believe a work of it, they are manipulate their audience and it’s horrible to watch everyone fall for it

Mamagotskills · 02/09/2020 09:19

*word not work

MaureenSowerbutts · 02/09/2020 09:43

@Mamagotskills exactly

She is manipulating situations to paint herself as the victim. Her sons name is in an article she did in the Daily Mail. The only other mention of it i have seen on here or tattle is when someone said, I guess *** will be an only child. Anyone can Google him.

She has been unkind to people that have tried to complain about her service and she moderated the FB page so much no one knows the truth.

All she had to do was practise good customer service and she failed at that and damaged people's mental health, which is ironic.

I'd swap my analysis with anyone and I bet our emails are all more or less the same. I really was sucked in by it all but the hypocrisy is just too much. I have unfollowed all platforms and although money is not an issue, I will not be paying for the new platform.

Atalune · 02/09/2020 09:56

I’m so shocked that she’s lied about-

People doxxing her son- she did in the DM!! October 2019. It’s in the public domain. By her!!!

No one has slated people or shared photos of clients on here or on Tattle. It’s weird.

She’s lying. It is infuriating.

Diagoras20 · 02/09/2020 10:30

@TudorChimney Hi Susie! 🙋‍♀️

Diagoras20 · 02/09/2020 10:32

Jokes aside, I'm sure the new patreon content is great and all, but as others have said, even if I could afford £6 a month my opinion of SBS as a brand and Susie herself have gone down a lot over the last few days. I've had my eyes opened to her poor behaviour, the double standards and I feel truly silly and mugged off.

Diagoras20 · 02/09/2020 10:33

I'm so upset that the analysis were all copied and pasted, I felt great when I got mine and knowing now its all a load of shit is not great.

MrsGannicus · 02/09/2020 10:37

I've just looked at the Instagram account that she screenshotted in her IG stories (after 3 seconds of it being posted!). It's @selfcare I'm crap at links but that is so obviously an account set up by Susie or her Hustle woman. There is only one post on there and looks like a new account.

Diagoras20 · 02/09/2020 10:48

Her and selfcare don't even follow each other 🤷‍♀️ its a shame.

Oh ok in THAT case, I think I'll join. 😂😂
MabelMoo23 · 02/09/2020 12:13

I’ve now been booted and blocked as well - and I’ve bloody paid for services!!!

Actually, I’m glad to see the back of it now, the admin running it - and yes I mean you Main School Hustle chick (as I’m sure you are reading) - are absolutely toxic. And actually even Susie has gone way down in my estimation. It’s not a business I want any part of. And I used to be very pro Susie and recommended her to lots of people
