Can I join you?
I tried on 2 dresses today.
The Indigo denim shirt dress ( elbow length sleeves) very heavy stiff denim so left that but loved the Era denim pinafore in Indigo.
Im a 12 but sized down to a 10 and it fits perfectly.
Ive also got another denim dress that I got for £40 in JL a few weeks back.

AuldFox · 28/08/2020 16:55

Loving a lot of the new stuff but I must clear some room in wardrobes first....

Moominmammaatsea · 28/08/2020 19:05

@AuldFox, I think you’ll find that’s what lofts and attics are for - and then, as if by magic, a totally empty wardrobe! Grin

It’s lovely hearing about everyone’s new season purchases here. I haven’t looked on the Toast website and I’ve only had a brief browse in an actual shop while on holiday, but I really like everything in the JL curated selection.

BerniceBobsHerHair · 28/08/2020 19:34

Just checking in to say hello. It's lovely to hear how everyone is wearing their toast purchases. spottyegg that dress looks great and I love that kind of easy throw on item.
I managed to nab some pleat front trousers on eBay - paid somewhat in between the JL and toast price. They are really nice, only tried but not properly worn yet.
I've worn my anni dress a lot. Another bought via eBay extortion Blush
I like your kin shirt laska - an eBay success. I never seem to do well with eBay Confused
Not really fallen for anything in the new collection yet.
I did buy a community clothing dress - their stuff is a bit toast but with high ethical credentials.
Would love to see some more pics of everyone wearing their toast Smile

I’m starting to pack up my summer things and bring my autumn winter clothes down - and lo and behold - a bag of unworn winter clothes from CoS bought in the January sale. I feel like I’ve been given a present. My Thought socks arrived from TK Maxx today as well, so I will have toastie toes.

Thats so good @ilovecherriescherries
I love Autumn

Laska2Meryls · 29/08/2020 07:48

Have you seen the new Toma print nightwear? 😍. Id love the gown... Ah well where's that lottery tocket?

Countmeout · 29/08/2020 08:29

I love that gown too @Laska2Meryls. Saw it while browsing round the site yesterday.
I love the striped jumper too.
It’s turning Autumnal here too but I’m determined not to get my coats and heavier things out until the end of September. Raincoat was never put away though.

ilovecherries · 29/08/2020 09:24

I’m sure you aren’t actually a StyleAndBeautyFail with those dresses😀. Just jump right in with us.

Love this thread! I have decided to send back several sale Toast items I bought a few months ago and haven't yet worn as sadly my work has completely stopped due to C19 restrictions and it feels wrong to keep them. I hadn't realised they had extended their returns to 6 months.
I also have a few bits I no longer wear that I might ebay. Shame we can't have a Toast swap shop!

Laska2Meryls · 29/08/2020 10:38

Flowers if one of those is the white oversized poplin shirt in S or M that was in the JL sale id love to buy it from you ! If so please do pm me.. Thanks 🤞

A very good point indeed moomin

I want all the new nightwear too. Curses!

Laska2Meryls · 29/08/2020 15:39

Oo oo I think I have just scored that white oversized Toast shirt from the leftover JL sale reductions !! Was just mucking around on the app and looked in my wish list and one was there !! ( But it hadnt shown up on the web page...) Email saying order confirmed so 🤞🤞

MotherofPearl · 29/08/2020 15:42

Can I cheekily ask you Toast crowd for some advice? I bought this Toast dress a few months ago and am planning to wear it this evening. We're going out for dinner to a nice restaurant for DP's birthday.

The problem is I have no idea what shoes to wear with it? How would you style it? Heels don't seem right? I have some red heeled sandals but not sure they're the right red? Brogues? But then I'd have to wear tights. I even contemplated my trusty Birkenstock's (tan, single wide strap with oversized buckle) but worry that would look too casual. Argh! Really stuck. It's quite chilly here too, so the next issue is a jacket/coat/wrap/cardigan. I'm so out of practice dressing up to go out...

Excellent @Laska2Meryls I love it when that happens! I got a pair of Alix's the other week in a similar fashion!

Laska2Meryls · 29/08/2020 16:31

MotherofPearl which dress is that? My screen shows it as black or is it dark red?
Obviously depends on how dressy the restaurant is. Red heeled sandals sound good though.
Id probably go for a jacket .. or maybe a wrap, perhaps if you have a good contrast

MotherofPearl · 29/08/2020 16:42

Thanks Laksa. I can't remember the name of the dress - maybe Tokyo or something like that? It's dark red - the second image shows it better. I think I will go with the red heeled sandals, thanks. I found I have a black jacket with a dark red trim which I think will look nice with it.

neveradullmoment99 · 29/08/2020 18:17

Sandals are fine. If they arent dark red then a neutral pair?
Its cold here. For me it would be ankle boots and tights and a cardi!

faustina · 29/08/2020 18:34

@MotherofPearl - the red sandals sound nice so long as you don't have to walk far (freezing and very wet here!)

@Laska2Meryls - hooray! I noticed the shirt today and thought of you. So pleased you got it

I received the Beton Cire hat today and it's lovely - thoroughly recommend it to anyone who needs a rain hat

Laska2Meryls · 29/08/2020 18:49

Faustina Thanks! Nice to be thought of..Smile.
I have a proper crusty 'Vera' navy waxed cotton rain hat ! DH always goes 🙄 when I wear it.. but it does the job!! 👍

AFingerofFudge · 29/08/2020 19:25

@faustina I've been looking at the Beton Cire hat but I have a rather large head; do you think it would fit?

faustina · 29/08/2020 19:39

@AFingerofFudge - just been discussing this with someone! I measured my head and it's 55cm and I believe the size of the hat is small (to fit 57-58cm). You can order bigger sizes and colours on the baton cire website

faustina · 29/08/2020 19:40

Just wondering if anyone, apart from Laska, whose lottery numbers must surely be about to come up following her incredible luck with her poplin shirt today, is finding any JL sale dregs? Or are they all being snaffled by eBay resellers? Is there any rhyme or rhythm to when JL is posting the quarantined returns?

ToastCosILoveIt · 29/08/2020 21:00

Moomin, i have just picked up the poplin shirt in medium on the JL website: literally in the last 20 mins.
