Yes, and it won’t even let you use an incognito browser or a different email address to use it a second time. Yes, I tried 😁.

Oh bugger! I had planned to use it again to buy a Toast dress on Thursday (payday). May see if it works for OH tho - same address but different account.

That didn’t work for me. However, I think I will try it again on my daughters laptop to see if that does the trick.

Hope you're all enjoying your toast things as much as me. I re-bought the poplin oversized shirt which I hadn't liked in white and dyed it black and now it looks exactly like the blue black version which is still full price on toast and it's perfect!

I've just received (and am returning) the Toast button through neat wool cardigan in cinnamon. I suppose the clue was in the use of the word "neat" in the description, but this - in size S - was too snug a fit for me (I'm usually an XS in Toast dresses, and S in sweaters). The colour also did not do anything for a silver haired old bat...it would look lovely on anyone with warm brown or auburn hair though. Shame, that's my JL discount gone!

That’s disappointing @Gonegrey31. I did wonder if neat meant you should size up. I think sometimes Toast colours can be tricky. Often I like the shape of something but the limited colours mean it’s not going to work.

Well, JL clearly hates me, as even on a different computer with a different email address and setting up a new account and new payment method it won't let me use the code again. I have - ahem - rather a full basket as well.

@ilovecherries how about if you do click and collect instead of delivery? Maybe it’s the delivery address causing the problem? Also! What’s in your basket please?! (Living vicariously as trying not to buy anything til Autumn 😊)

I don’t know why that’s not working cherries . The address didn’t matter. I used my address. Did you opt in to John Lewis friends or whatever it’s called? I got the dispatch email today.
Got the Toast pumpkin t shirt today, doesn’t work for me, too swingy at the bottom ( even worse probably because I am endowed a bit) and pumpkin is a colour of orange which is just off for me , and I wear orange too 😕 on the plus side the Hush boyfriend jeans in the same order do work . Hunt for jeans over.

It worked the first time, but now it just says ‘not a valid promotional code’. C&C is over 100 miles round trip and we are only just out of shielding so trying to keep risks as low as possible. I’m a My John Lewis member - is that what you mean - can’t see anything called friends. I wanted the toast marigold jumper, whistles jeans, and a spare pair of hush joggers.

Caitlin Moran’s latest book is serialised in the Times today . She says re Toast clothes “the only people who look good are wiry, 5ft 11 ins bohemian intellectuals with strong cheekbones... (she) would just like a small round old lady wearing her dead grandmother’s clothes ....

I fear I fall into the latter category. Won’t stop my addiction to the Toast clothes though, however deluded I may be .

Well, quite frankly I think that sounds like the usual ageist, sizeist judgemental crap often spouted on MN. I shall continue to wear what I like as well.

I have bought a few more Toast things ( and sold some older ones on ebay) .. but that JL poplin shirt bargain has eluded me..and I ended up buying the black one from Toast ..
but seeing yours above faustina I may redouble my efforts ( as I can still return the Toast one) .. When you dyed it though, did the stitching remain white?

Well, Marian Keyes is neither wiry nor 5ft11 and she often posts pictures of herself in Toast clothes on Instagram and she looks fabulous. It’s all about what you choose and how you wear it imho

Yes @Saurus72 she posted recently in the green and black check dress and I’m now obsessed but haven’t the funds!!!
