@Moominmammaatsea

I’m very pleased to have bought the Japanese pleat front indigo trousers on JL (still showing at £195 on the Toast site). You see, the early bird really does catch the worm!
Oh I got these yesterday from a JL store and they are amazing. I am going to need to move the waist buttons slightly to make the waist a little smaller but they are fab.
paintyhands · 23/07/2020 09:31

I really want to watch Home Is Where The Art Is but I have an unreasonable aversion to Nick Knowles - I don’t really know why! He does seem a strange choice of presenter For this type of show but perhaps I don’t know enough about him! That is a lovely dress though.

Spottyegg · 23/07/2020 09:39

I have that dress! My first purchase from the sale this year!

Sad I missed out on last bits of the JL sale - wanted a few trousers to fit my post quarantine waist. But they are still full price on the Toast site so who knows.

goldpendant · 23/07/2020 09:46

Does anyone have the workwear jacket in black?

Do you know the name of the dress? It might help my searching 🤔

I do know what you mean, just fast forward his bits 😆 I just love the snoop around people’s houses and seeing all their art and then seeing what the artists produce.
ilovecherries · 23/07/2020 09:52

I have the Japanese linen trousers in liquorice arriving today from Toast, and the indigo twill top from JL. I had hung the Anni dress out to wear today after doing so much successful swishing in the Riya, but it’s hammering down outside. So I may end up in Hush harems. If I ever get dressed, that is.

I love Where the Art is as well, but also have an irrational shudder about poor Nick. He’s probably a lovely guy but he seems an odd choice and I keep expecting him to be the instigator of a DIY rampage.

@Squiz81 is it the Franca Indigo Dress? I may be mistaken but it could be.

Saurus72 · 23/07/2020 10:05

It looks like the Franca dress. I bought it in the navy jersey version in the sale and I LOVE it! Quite interested in a corduroy version for winter but not keen on the colours they have, except grey maybe.

neveradullmoment99 · 23/07/2020 10:21

They have that dress in needlecord on the Toast website but not reduced. Part of their new collection.

neveradullmoment99 · 23/07/2020 10:22

Not many colours left or sizes!

neveradullmoment99 · 23/07/2020 10:24

This one in check too

faustina · 23/07/2020 10:48

@Laska2Meryls - I was in the sodding bath and missed them all Sad. Mind you, I have kept the slate cotton linen trousers so I really don't need anymore - and today I'll decide which size Jamie workwear twill trousers I'm keeping and return the others. If anyone is looking for a last minute bargain the Jamies are amazing - really soft moleskin-ish, quite thick, I think wearable through winter, and the green is a really lovely shade - they are fifty quid on Toast

Enjoy your hair appointment - mine is on Saturday - six months after it should have happened!

faustina · 23/07/2020 10:53

Today I'm picking up another red half sleeve linen tee and some navy blue dye - and I have an Emma tee in off white and a boy tee in white linen which I'll dye with the blue - and then I'll dye the red tee black. I'm hoping it's a nice very dark navy

Spottyegg · 23/07/2020 11:15

Yes @Squiz8, Franca dress in Indigo Twill.

Spottyegg · 23/07/2020 11:16

Sorry @Squiz81!

neveradullmoment99 · 23/07/2020 11:24

@faustina - How do you dye yours? I cant use a machine dye as I have a washer dryer and I am not sure that would not ruin it. I would love to dye some things.

Squiz81 · 23/07/2020 11:28

Thanks everyone!

faustina · 23/07/2020 11:29

@neveradullmoment99 - I have only done it once, with the help of the people on this thread! There are pics on here if you search my name. I used the Dylon machine dye and changed a burnt red half sleeve linen tee into a black one - in fact I was wearing it yesterday! I think there were some other Dylon options that didn't need a washing machine? www.dylon.co.uk

neveradullmoment99 · 23/07/2020 11:35

Thanks. I saw your tee. It looked great!
I have emailed dylon. I just cant be faffed with buckets of dye!

BerniceBobsHerHair · 23/07/2020 12:38

cherries I am wafting in my anni dress today.
I'm really jealous of the purchases of the indigo trousers - my 'ones that got away'.
I like the stripe t laska and where are the jeans you 're wearing a few pages back from?
Sorry feel like I've missed loads and can't scroll back.
I cringe a bit to write down all I've bought but here goes (deep breath)
Indigo jumpsuit
Kado dress (JL bargain)
Wide leg jumpsuit
Anni dress
Ikat skirt
Ikat chequerboard dress
Doogtooth trousers

Forest green cord trousers

Think that's it Blush
Also got the chevron dress and Felix trousers arriving today Grin

Now I need to focus on enjoying what I've got and not buy anything else for a lonnnnnng time.

railings was it you who asked about vans - I just wear them bare foot but my feet are quite tough!

Saurus72 · 23/07/2020 13:23

Well, I just had the blue cotton Oxford dress (JL bargain) delivered and it was ludicrously big so that’s going back. (Along with a JL cashmere jumper in a disastrous shade of pink). Am waiting for the rust merino wrap cardi which should arrive this afternoon. Am kind of tired of all the returns tbh. Have two more Toast dresses yet to arrive and then I’m done. Never thought I’d say this but it will be a relief to not online shop for a while 😉

neveradullmoment99 · 23/07/2020 13:32

Well I was meant to receive a few things from Toast today and nothing turned up. Seems its in Swansea still :( Its definitely not updated it.

Laska2Meryls · 23/07/2020 13:59

Back from hair cut, feel much better ,
So, just goes to show that with changing dye colour you can never really tell.. I had boughta second olive linen vest in the JL sale, thought that I would dye it navy. But its come out a rather fab charcoal ( with olive stitches of course.. really pleased , lighter mark is the sunlight..
