Wedding dress dilemma!

Please could you help me go choose between two wedding dresses - both very different!

A) the plain one
B) the Lacey one

I am quite petite and the wedding is English summertime!

Thank you so much!

The first one is beautiful.

The second one...would you be wearing a bit more underneath it than the woman in the photo??

dressdecidehelp · 13/07/2020 18:56

@flowery ha - very much so! I guess a slip or something!

No one wants to see the brides butt cheeks as she walks down the aisle. The lacey one is too see through. Plain one is very elegant, it’s lovely.

FluffMagnet · 13/07/2020 18:57

Both lovely but depends on venue I would say. First one definitely if you're in a church, but second if is in a barn/field.

GertiMJN · 13/07/2020 18:57

Do you wish to be clothed or exposed?

PastramiNoRye · 13/07/2020 18:58

First one without a doubt

greenestolives · 13/07/2020 19:01

The proportions in the top half of the first one might be all wrong on you if you are petite, and it would need the bits over the shoulder shortening. Which might very well spoil the line. It is a lovely dress though.

The second one? It's a no from me. Looks more like something you'd buy from a lingerie shop.

heartsonacake · 13/07/2020 19:01

The lace one; I think the plain one is too boring and doesn’t have anything to make it stand out.

ExtremelyBoldSquirrels · 13/07/2020 19:03

I do find it odd that pretty much naked with some see through stuff on top seems to be fashionable for brides right now.

Who wants to take their vows with everyone looking at your arse?

JaJaDingDong · 13/07/2020 19:04

Another vote for the plain one.

dannydyerismydad · 13/07/2020 19:04

The lace one is beautiful but needs something under it. Also, try sitting down in it. I would be terrified of it gaping.

The first is elegant and beautiful.

katmarie · 13/07/2020 19:05

I wore one quite similar to the first one, but with pleating in the bodice and some sparkly detailing at the waist. It also had pockets which was amazing! So I say the first one.

ExtremelyBoldSquirrels · 13/07/2020 19:06

Given that you’d require a slip/adaptations to make the second one even vaguely appropriate for wearing in public, does it really come down to a choice between these two?

CopperBeeches · 13/07/2020 19:07

First one is perfect.

Elieza · 13/07/2020 19:08

Both - one over the other, problem solved and modesty preserved Grin

Sexnotgender · 13/07/2020 19:10

First one without a shadow of a doubt.

Elouera · 13/07/2020 19:12

The plain one. If you have a veil, you could always add glitz/diamonds/bling etc on that, or even have a diamonte belt or additions to the shoulders. Especially with your flowers, the plain one wont look as plain as it does in the pics.

Lucked · 13/07/2020 19:12

A.

Have you tried both on? I really wanted lace but it just looked crap next to my skin so I ended up with one the same material as your first dress.

TeaAndHobnob · 13/07/2020 19:16

I don't like either of them. The first one is fine, but I don't like pouffy dresses. The second one - erk! I mean, that's not a dress to be wearing all day unless you have industrial strength tit tape. Also I assume you are tall and very slim with very small breasts otherwise I wouldn't know where to look tbh. That is a very unforgiving style.

Badassmama · 13/07/2020 19:19

The lace 100% just suits a petite bride and an English summer wedding better. Way more current and fresh.

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 13/07/2020 19:20

Second one for me, if you are wearing something underneath. the first one is nice, but I feel uncomfortable looking at the straps that are half off the shoulder. Just doesn't look right to me. It irritates me actually, but then I'm weird.

PatchworkElmer · 13/07/2020 19:20

First one.

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 13/07/2020 19:21

What's your venue? Have you tried the second one on with a slip? I think it might ruin the delicacy of it, but agree it needs it in real life!
