Another "Which Dress?" please for autumn wedding.

Family wedding in October has been scaled down to a registry office. No longer bridesmaid so need something to wear. Did a big Reiss order - only one worth thinking about.

Please can I have opinions on all of these - any any good? Or should I keep looking? Oh, and goes without saying please excuse hair - need a cut though thank heavens I no longer dye it

Dress 1 Pink - saw on another poster's thread. DD (14yo) thinks it is horrible and not my style, makes me look old and not right for an October wedding. I rather liked it..... I can see it would be a shock for DD as I am not normally a pattern person (think the grey curls + pattern = too much).

Dress 2 Teal/Green Reiss - in the sale. DD likes it. I feel rather lovely in it. But am not sure if I like it cos it makes me look slim. Clueless as to what shoes I would wear with it (hate heels).

Dress 3 - My old Boden summer party staple. Not sure if right for an Oct wedding though.

Help oh wise-ones please.

I like 2 and 3. 1 does absolutely nothing for you
2 is the most classy but I still like 3 and both suit you
Like the hair, do you do curly girl?

RuthW · 03/07/2020 18:11

Number 2. The others are too long and casual for a wedding b

Letthemysterybe · 03/07/2020 18:13

I see the appeal in dress 1. It does look Very comfy! But not very weddingy and not very Octobery. Dress 3 is very flattering, but dress 2 is nicer.

yellowsunset · 03/07/2020 18:19

Dress 2 and your hair is lovely.

Nixee2231 · 03/07/2020 18:22

Dress 2 is a great color and fit on you!

mrscatalano · 03/07/2020 18:46

Really don't do the thigh high boot thing that another poster suggested, that'll make it look really dated.

endlessginandtonic · 03/07/2020 18:49

Dress 2 is the best for a fall wedding.
3 fits you well.
Dress 1 is a firm no from me.

MrsMoastyToasty · 03/07/2020 18:52

I reckon that the green dress would go well with either gold or purple accessories.

WillowSummerSloth · 03/07/2020 18:53

Dress 2 looks amazing on you. If I saw you at a wedding in that I'd think you were super classy and stylish.

WillowSummerSloth · 03/07/2020 18:54

Just to add- it would look better with heels. Would up the glam factor. Nothing tacky or sparkly though.

Qwicky · 03/07/2020 18:56

2!
The other two aren't very weddingy or autumnal. 2 is both and suits you very nicely.

Fleamaker123 · 03/07/2020 18:59

I vote for no. 2 for an October wedding.
To be honest you look great in all of them!

googledontknow · 03/07/2020 19:01

Dress 2! Looks a lovely dress, good quality and suits you.

Dress 1 doesn't suit you
Dress 3 (sorry) looks dated and too casual for a wedding.

totallyinapproppriate · 03/07/2020 19:06

Teal

You are really beautiful, btw.

OnDisplay · 03/07/2020 19:13

Um. It seems a bit of a no-brainer then Grin

Thank you for all the opinions and lovely comments - really appreciated. I suffer from real "what-to-wear" anxiety for social occasions.

Ooo, just had a thought. I have these/something v similar to these which are just about dealable with to wear....would these do? Silver cuff bangle thingy, black leather jacket?

I'm not sure those shoe boots would look right with the style of dress. I think they're too casual / clumpy with a midi pencil shape. Similar height black suede shoes would be gorgeous though.

@TeaAndHobnob

Dress 2 is a lovely colour and would be perfect for autumn. I'm not sure though about the fit around your chest, it looks as though the fabric is being pulled and wrinkling a bit. Could you try a size bigger?
It is draped/wrapped (and a bit of a shit photo, sorry Grin) - so can see why you may think that. Def not too small on. Attached is pic from JL website so you can see the reason for the "wrinkles"

I know they're m and s, but I think they'd look good.

Yep, curly girl all the way. Needs a trim/re-shape at the moment but cba to try and book one at the moment. Especially with curly hair - by next week it have settled back into shape and it won't need it.

A black tux jacket with it might be nice?
