Hi everyone, I used to be a svelte size 10 and had an hourglass figure I was very happy with. I'm now 12/14/16 depending on brand. I'm being investigated for endometriosis and have to lose weight.

After an awful break up I ate my weight in toblerones and McDonalds and now I'm 1 1/2 stones overweight.

I have lost half a stone since lockdown, im eating healthier and exercising more but thought I would have made more progress. I promised myself I would be single for a year before and now it's just past a year I'm quite keen.

Fyi I didnt actually wear this outfit outside my hips are the absolute worst and very stubborn, my stomach has shrunk a bit the hips and bum are hard to shift!! Not sure whether to wait til maybe the end of year before dating again until I make more progress.

I'm a bit of a perfectionist in other areas. I think it is in my mind. I was in a serious relationship & the other person cheated on me & left me for that person. This was 2 years ago now- I actually started dating a lovely guy 6 months after that ended. We have stayed good friends and see each other when we can but we are now in different countries.

I actually hadnt thought about it that way until you left that comment. I've also just been very lucky. I always had a good figure and smooth skin with no stretch marks. I know many women go through these changes. I just feel have a different body now. But my mind is different too as you say

You look absolutely fine. You can start dating and continue to loose the weight. You could be waiting for ever to feel completely happy so I'd just get on with it.

Also weird that they want you to lose weight for the laproscopy, you’re hardly obese !

Apparently when people lose weight it takes ages til they start to believe that they are thin. So you might as well start practicing your skinny mindset!

You have a lovely sexy curvy figure. Loads of men love that! And even if they didn't you should get out there and live a full life! You don't want a guy who would only look at you at your lowest weight.

I don"t want to lose weight for the laparoscopy @MrDarcysMa, I was told in no uncertain terms I must. The guy was very clinical about it, said I see you are overweight (from the scales!), you will need to reduce that if you want the op. Honestly I've only lost half a stone so I doubt that is enough. But I had a little cry after, because I didn't realise I was that bad.

I've just organised a walk with friends next weekend, I was fitter last year because I hiked and commuted loads. A PP recommended bio oil to me so I will definitely grab a bottle over the weekend.

Even 5 years ago I feel my metabolism was way faster. It seems to take forever for me to to lose weight now. The doctor also thinks I may have pcos (joy) and I do wonder if it is related.

I think this thread has demonstrated there is a difference between what I am seeing in the mirror and how others perceive me. Also having a doctor tell me I couldn't have my op until weight loss was a bit shocking because I'm not obese.

My clothes are a bit baggy now which doesnt look great. I'm not desperate to shop but a new flattering item here and there might not be a bad idea!

@googledontknoe oh god! Is it that bad? I do wonder if I should just stay away and try to meet someone through my hobbies. It gets so much harder the only you get doesn't it? So I can see why OD is appealing
