I seem to get through slippers very quickly but admittedly I often don't spend much on them and I do wear whenever I'm in the house. My current pair were brown suede sheepskin mules which I liked (albeit from Sainsbury's so neither actually suede nor sheepskin). These have lasted no time at all and are now cracked through the soles and most crucially, have gone the way all slippers seem to in a few weeks for me and are a bit baggy, risking tripping on the stairs. My feet are slim (but not freakishly so) and size 5.
Nothing with a back on or toes out and not too Granny please I'm early 40's; otherwise all suggestions welcome. Happy to consider expensive ones if genuinely great but so far I've found the ones I've paid more for have been no better than cheap ones; hopefully this isn't always the case!
This thread is quite old now so some of the suggestions may be out of date, but if you’ve landed here looking for warm, cosy slippers that stand the test of time, we’ve recently updated our best women’s slippers page with lots of great options, as worn and loved by Mumsnet users. We hope you find it useful.
