Day in the garden! Oasis top and jack wills shorts.

Crazy hot here too. I am wearing:

I was going to try to retake the photo later in better light but my top now has a muddy toddler handprint on it!

Shoes, if I were wearing them, would be Birkenstock Mayari

An old pic but this what I’m wearing today. It’s really hot here. DH is working in the lounge with all the shutters closed in a bid to keep cool. I’ve taken the opposite approach - I’ve opened all the doors to the garden & I’m sitting in front of a fan!

L&Y dropped a new collection yesterday? What does everyone think? All the recent things have not been my cup of tea at all but I really like this. I have some bits arriving tomorrow.

We had a CP trip booked at the beginning of June which obviously got cancelled. Gutted. We go every year with SIL & BIL

Today it has pissed down all day and we had a surprise of the deputy first minister telling us schools are going back full time with zero other info sending everyone into meltdown so I'm wearing black to match my mood and comfy Jean's because it was to wet to leave the house.

@happytobemrsg - thanks. I tend to wear them with navy tops (but then I tend to default to navy quite a bit anyway). I’ve also gone with white, black or dark green. I suspect I could be more adventurous - I have a couple of pattered shirts which have yellow in them.

Forecast to be hot today, so time for a summer dress.

Morning all, I really picked the wrong week to be back in work, my normal desk at home is in our conservatory so need to relocate!

@happytobemrsg I had a look at the new Lucy and Yak drop but the colours aren't really me, I'm naturally fair (more grey than anything now!) and tend towards pink/purple dye so citrus shades don't do me any favours at all 😂. Looking forward to seeing your new stuff!

Oh lovely summery outfits!

I had an amazing lie in until 8.24 today. I cannot remember when I last slept in so late. It was so good. Now of course I want to go back to bed. I also had a croissant for breakfast just to continue the holiday feel. Poor DH has been on the phone since 7.30, the NHS struggling to work out how to work the next phase ( and I know how lucky we are that he's management).

Boiling here already! Think I'm going to set a table, chair, and the paddling pool up in the shade and have a garden office today so DD can play in the paddling pool whilst I work. It's too, too hot for me!

Excuse the wet hair, today is a low-effort day. Actually, I can't remember the last time I blow-dried my hair, so every day is a low-effort day! 😂

@happytobemrsg the new L&Y collection isn't right for me. Thank goodness, as I've spent a fair bit this month on the new jeans and limited editions. I think the items will look great on other people, but the colours aren't for me. I have Gilbert's Syndrome, so yellow/citrussy shades aren't for me as they can make me look very sallow. My new limited editions arrived the other day and I adore them, though. Pastels and neons are definitely more my thing!

Very hot here too! We’re having some new french doors fitted today but once that’s done I think work in the garden and the paddling pool is a great idea @toastfiend

Gah, my phone keeps autocorrecting DS to DD. So frustrating! The paddling pool has proven popular, although I reckon the dogs might try to join in. 😂

@toastfiend our first ever dog loved paddling pools! We had to have two! One for him one for the babies. He would dig a hole in them inevitably

I love those dungaree shorts toastfiend. Ive been looking at the cropped tops on lucy and yak this morning but I dont know if I dare wear one. Its completely out my comfort zone.

Boiling here to had an important video call today so went ultra smart although I may change.

@AnUnlikelyWorldofInvisibleShad I just bought some cropped tops from L&Y (my first as an adult!) & I really like them. I’m usually a small but I sized up for the tops so I get a bit more length. I’ve attached a pic (yellow outfit).

Today is DS1’s birthday. We usually do a big family party but to be honest, it’s just been me, DH, DS1 & baby DS2 & it’s been lovely. No hosting, making up food, making sure everyone has a drink 😅

I have just discovered this thread, so interesting, would love to join to get ideas and to make an effort and not being in my pyjamas whilst working from home!

Today I am wearing an H&M top and khaki culottes from Mango (culottes cannot be seen properly as I had to take the picture with my tablet instead of my phone, but they are really comfy and fresh)
