Are there any redeeming features to this dress?

Sometimes I see things that are so weird I really start to wonder if it’s them or me. Am I missing something here? John Lewis is trying to pass this off as “effortless summer style” for a mere £179.

No, I like hearing different opinions on this kind of thing Alsohuman. I've even gone so far as to try to find a pic of Angelica on the One Show, with no luck so far, to see how she made it work!

I think John Lewis may have attained the dubious distinction of producing something worse than the M&S pink monstrosity of a few seasons ago.

I like it, in both colours. I saw a telly presenter in the white version recently, looked good on her.

I'm sorry, it doesn't. It doesn't look fab on Ferne Cotton. It looks....odd.

Bottom line is if something looks a bit naff on the model (size 8 5ft 10in) it is not going to flatter you.

I thought it looked ok on the woman on the One Show a few weeks ago.

Those shoes however, are absolutely fucking hideous.

The shape of your dress isn’t great, the abysmal stying doesn’t help. Needs a belt to hoist it up and add definition, and much nicer shoes. I’d wear my Gucci belt & heeled barely there sandals

It's like a more expensive version of that horrible Zara dress from a couple of seasons ago that everyone raved about, but an awful lot worse.

They’ve sold 12 in the last 48 hours so obviously not everyone hates it. I’ve got “that horrible Zara dress”. Someone says they like it every time I wear it.

JL have emailed this to me as well! As my mum would say, it looks like they ran out of material towards the end and bunged on the big spot print thinking no one would notice. Hideous imho.
