Sadly QueenoftheAndals has decided to bow out and not create any more Royal Style and Beauty threads SadSadSad
I'm really hoping she'll reconsider.
Are any of the regular posters interested in continuing her great work ?

Florascotia that is a lovely post, thank you too.

MotherofPearl · 23/06/2020 19:44

Gosh @florascotia2, your post is very moving to read. Thank you for sharing that.

@paradyning Thanks

Horsemad · 23/06/2020 20:24

Flowers for you both, @paradyning and @florascotia2

paradyning · 23/06/2020 20:46

@florascotia2 that is lovely. So glad they looked after your mother
@TracyBeakerSoYeah thank you so much Thanks. Everything helps. You are amazing.
And thank you everyone.
They really are incredible and provide invaluable support and guidance.

Anyway! I love that Kate's dress has the deep V at the back with the buttons. Very racy! And flattering.

AppleKatie · 23/06/2020 21:05

Flowers very moving posts about the care hospices provide. I agree they are a vital vital service.

I like Kate’s hair- it’s not quite as ‘in’ but it’s a much easier style to do at home yourself and it looks elegant.

I think she’s tried valiantly with lockdown waves but they aren’t the same as her hairdresser can do!

Interesting that she has apparently not had any help in that department but our PM’s hair has been the same length since March...🤔

MotherofPearl · 23/06/2020 21:41

@AppleKatie I agree! Pity he doesn't see fit to ever run a comb through it. Confused

AppleKatie · 23/06/2020 21:53

Oh I think the problem is he is forever running a comb through it- that ridiculous mop is deliberate.

MotherofPearl · 23/06/2020 22:20

That's even more annoying. Angry

frugalkitty · 23/06/2020 22:38

Flora what a beautifully written post. It reminds me of one I read on MN about a lady whose father was near the end at home when the podiatrist (I think) arrived as no one had thought to cancel the appointment. She offered to do the fathers feet anyway and when she was done she told him he was ready to dance his way into heaven. I cried when I read that post, and I'd like to think that someone would show that kindness if it was one of my relatives.

frugalkitty · 23/06/2020 22:40

paradyning Flowers for you

AngelaScandal · 23/06/2020 22:53

Paradyning 💐

This is why I love this thread as it's us Mnetters & Mumsnet at its best!
(Soppy aren't I 😘 Smile )

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 23/06/2020 23:52

Though when I want a ride on the wild side I go to AIBU 😂
Though seriously it's not that scary (most of the time).

latedecember1963 · 24/06/2020 08:02

Dashing to work so can't write a proper post, but 😘 to Paradyning and Florascotia2.

Hairydilemma · 24/06/2020 10:08

Like others I love these threads for their civility and a bit of escapism from the everyday groundhog doom and gloom. Flowers for you both, Paradyning and Florascotia.

I almost always think the Spanish RF are really well-dressed. I have a skirt very like Leti’s which was £7 in Primark sale (although currently can’t fit into it due to lockdown snackery 🙄).

BlingLoving · 24/06/2020 10:12

@paradyning I'm sorry to hear that.

It feels a bit heartless to move straight onto clothes and hair but I'm guessing that like the rest of us, these threads are a respite from real life so....

GLORY HALLELUJA. Kate has accepted that the waves and gentle curls that her hair dresser does so wonderfully just aren't doable by herself and has gone with the hair straighteners instead. Kate - if you're reading (and I'm starting to suspect she is): well done. You look great.

I love the loose (not too big and bouncy) curls her hairdresser does but it's too hard to do by yourself when your hair is that long (I speak from experience). She looked great yesterday. And love that colour on her.

LadyEloise · 24/06/2020 10:15

Paradyning and floriascotia2
Thanks. * * Thanks

Love these threads so much and those mentions of little acts of kindness and care are both lovely and sad Flowers
Kate has such a beautiful, animated face, I like her hair au naturel but it jars with her fierce eyebrows, they need big bouncy hair for balance.
Hard to describe, but I think she looks like very kind person. She is either the world's best actress, or she genuinely is interested in meeting people and has a lovely way with children.

So true. Flowers for everyone, especially paradyning and flora. My mother had hospice care at the end of her life as well, and it is no exaggeration to say that they were a great blessing for her and for us.

It may seem an odd thing to observe, but I think that hospice brought a much needed and much appreciated aesthetic dimension to dying, which fit perfectly with the way my mother lived her life.

Laiste · 24/06/2020 16:59

!!!! Here you all are!

Laiste · 24/06/2020 17:08

Paradyning and floriascotia Flowers I wish you peace and comfort at this time.

frugalkitty · 24/06/2020 17:28

Charlene really does red lipstick well. I don't like that wispy fringe though. Her hairstyle here is very much that favoured by Princess Grace in her later years (plait crown? don't know what it's called!). Though that may just be a coincidence.

Sophie has been out and about a lot recently, doing what seems to me important but not hugely glamorous work. Here she is baking scones at a disability charity in Surrey. I do think she deserves a lot of credit.

Oo was just going to say did we see those Monaco pics yet?
Love that Charlene is braiding her hair lots at the moment. And as always she rocks the red lip. Really like her dress too.
