Sadly QueenoftheAndals has decided to bow out and not create any more Royal Style and Beauty threads SadSadSad
I'm really hoping she'll reconsider.
Are any of the regular posters interested in continuing her great work ?

Thoroughly enjoying the RF family tree chat this evening. As others have said, Charlotte's likeness to Sarah Chatto is very striking - and she also looks like HMQ as I child I think.

MotherofPearl · 21/06/2020 21:02

Here, for example. Something about the layout of the eyes and eyebrows (though their colouring is different of course).

Photo would help Blush

We are going down the family tree but after seeing this

Charlotte and William very similar mouth/smile

James (Viscount Severn) is one of the smartest and best dressed royals!

James is so cute in his suits. 😍

blueskys72 · 22/06/2020 12:09

I think Charlotte has a very "strong-willed" look 😄 I don't envy them keeping her in line!

SenecaFallsRedux · 22/06/2020 12:17

Tracy's posts remind me again why Prince Philip's DNA was used to identify the remains of the Romanovs when they were found a few years ago.

Also a bit of royal trivia: Grand Duchess Maria had been considered by both families as a possible match for her cousin Lord Louis Mountbatten.

Leti, SFF and their daughters at a theatre visit. I absolutely love Leti's skirt - it's Massimo Dutti. And as we often say on here, the Spanish princesses are always beautifully dressed.

Beautiful outfits, they get it right so often!

Inspiralcarpetry · 22/06/2020 19:06

Leti and family are very stylish!

thisenglishlife · 22/06/2020 23:00

Leti and the children usually look fabulous

I love the Queen in this green dress

I think George and now Louis look so like Michael Middleton. Charlotte looks very like Elizabeth her grandmother to me. But I think with children you see what you want to see to a certain extent.

I do think it must be slightly surreal for the Middletons to find themselves on the balcony at Buckingham Palace waving to people because their daughter got married. And also to look at their grandson and to think that a possible future king of GB will look just like you/your husband. weird stuff - who knows whether it will all last anyway.

My daughters are still laughing at me for this ... but did anyone else find Michal Middleton quite cute in that photo with Catherine back in the day???

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 23/06/2020 00:41

Carole & Michael must have a little giggle to themselves when when they think back to the times they've had to put the future Queen of England (Catherine) & the future King of England (George) on the naughty step as misbehaving toddlers 😂

RomaineCalm · 23/06/2020 12:49

I like Kate's hair on today's Zoom call and her green top/dress.

Hair & dress lovely, not keen on eyebrows though... 🤨

MotherofPearl · 23/06/2020 14:19

Oh my goodness, what has happened to her eyebrows? Shock I'm not keen on the hair either, though appreciate that this is likely because she's doing it herself rather than with professional help.

gingercat02 · 23/06/2020 14:35

Oh I love her hair like that. Mind you I'm not a fan of bouffy hair on anyone. That's a ✔💯 from me as a ginger I love the green too

thisenglishlife · 23/06/2020 14:40

Kate has only had the big hair/blow dried curls or waves look a few times during the lockdown, so it's not what we normally see her hair like. I quite like the 'softness' of the straight hair - it's a more relaxed, down to earth look.

Kate wore a Diane von Furstenberg silk crepe dress ('Maja' Lawn Green Dress), previously worn twice in 2011.

I think she looks great, bar the darker eyebrows. AND it was with Cams about my favourite topic Helen & Douglas House www.helenanddouglas.org.uk

Here's a little plug. You would not believe the amount of support they provide to families. (And mine too right at this minute).

florascotia2 · 23/06/2020 18:20

Paradyning Am so very sorry to hear that hospice support has been needed for your family, but would so very strongly agree with you that hospices (adult and child) do a great and very difficult job. I still recall the amazing care they gave to my late mother when she was dying. All her life, she was very pretty and soignee. Even when she was no longer really with it - on very very heavy duty medication - the nurses still did her hair in an attractive style and dressed her in her prettiest nightdresses. It wasn't necessary from a medical point of view, and can't have been easy for them, but was very much what she would have wanted. And such a testament to their belief in each individual's worth and dignity.
The day she was dying, they somehow found a very small stuffed toy from somewhere and placed it in her hands, gracefully folded across her chest, so that even while unconscious she would not feel alone.

Very sorry if this is too much information and not relevant to the topic of the thread. But perhaps in a funny way it is, somehow. At their best, the royals - and other high profile people who give take time to dress up in their 'best' and visit/give support to good causes - are all affirming the same truth. It's about respect for other individuals, and for humanity as a whole.

AngelaScandal · 23/06/2020 18:50

@Florascotia thank you for that beautiful post

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 23/06/2020 19:32

paradyning I'm also sorry to hear that hospice support has been needed for your family Flowers
I've also made a small donation to them.
