Wow, I've been busy and off MN... I've missed a lot. I won't bore you by going back to things you've already discussed. But I love that dress on CPV. It's sort of medieval? I saw someone on twitter I think saying they hope she finds a tiara occasion to rewear it - I can get behind that.

it's the kind of dress I'd love to wear but will never have an appropriate event to attend!

I also think jeans and the shirt would have been okay on their own (maybe not those jeans and that shirt necessarily), but I don't get wearing those waistcoats for all outdoor events. I mean, she was only visiting, not doing any actual gardening? I find it a bit odd.

Just spotted Kate’s shoes! I’m forcibly reminded of the ones my grandmother used to wear.

I’m obviously in full bitch mode today but as outfits go this is a long way from her best.

I agree the whole outfit isn't great but it's the shoes that push it over in to a fashion fail for me! It's a shame because so far her zoom lockdown wardrobe has been ok!

On the flip side I thought William in jeans and jumper was a big improvement in his normal chinos and fleece look!

I'm not keen on Kate's garden centre trainers which probably means they're very trendy. In a young person's interpretation of something being so uncool, it's cool kind of way.
I like the rest of her outfit as it fits with the location.

The shoes are fine but don't go, I saw the trousers and shirt online and they look fine. It's the gilet that I'm not a fan of.

English, I certainly wasn't doubting you about the trousers - just seemed an odd choice to me. I can't tell if they are actually satin or just called satin.

I put the link for the material - it's cotton and lyocell... Isn't satin normally polyester?It looks only very vaguely satin-like on the website, but it's in their description.

Sophie on a webinar today. The dress is printed with moons and stars apparently, which I'm not hugely keen on, but I do think she looks very pretty.
