Sadly QueenoftheAndals has decided to bow out and not create any more Royal Style and Beauty threads SadSadSad
I'm really hoping she'll reconsider.
Are any of the regular posters interested in continuing her great work ?

I love Diana's hair like that.
I loved it too when it was really short in later years- those fab photos by Patrick Demachelier.
However there was a stage in between where I didn't like it - it was short and appeared to have a perm.

Zara Tindall wore a royal blue dress by Beulah with a matching hat by Juliette Botterill for her Ascot at Home day yesterday.

I think she looks lovely in this, a real style success for her.

William visited ambulance staff in King's Lynn.

Charles' namaste greeting.

The blue Ascot outfit of Kate's is one of my favourites on her.
Diana's dress in that throwback photo was a real fairytale princess look.
I was only thinking the same thing about Queenof the Andals yesterday. Even if she doesn't want to come back to posting, I hope she has seen how much she was appreciated.

MotherofPearl · 17/06/2020 13:27

I like that photo of William. Fleece-free and actually looking pretty dapper.

MotherofPearl · 17/06/2020 14:23

@AdaColeman is this the one?

I agree this is a good look for Zara, though I admit I'm not keen on those flouncy sleeves. The fabric is more fluid and drapey (is that a word?) than she usually wears, and it is an improvement I think. She often looks a bit uncomfortable and constrained in formal clothes that appear a bit stiff and/or tight. Anyway, nice photo of them both.

Yes, that's the one @MotherofPearl, it is a nice photo of them together.
Fab hat Zara!

I agree with you that the fit of her clothes is often too tight, but when she gets it right, she can look lovely. I think Kate occasionally wears Beulah designs, though I don't remember any offhand.

MotherofPearl · 17/06/2020 14:58

Two Beulah dresses the DoC has worn.

I'm hoping there may be more so @thisenglishlife can make us a collage. Grin

I really like the green one.

AppleKatie · 17/06/2020 15:30

That is a lovely picture of Zara and she looks really happy and relaxed but apart from the fact it isn’t tight I’m not a massive fan of the outfit.

thisenglishlife · 17/06/2020 17:23

There certainly are a few more Beulah pieces that Kate owns. The plain red dress is my favourite and Kate looked extra glam that night.

Beulah is a British brand and employs victims of human trafficking in India. It also donates part of its profits.

I quite like this slightly Chinese influenced dress: www.beulahlondon.com/collections/autumn-winter-2019/products/shifali-floral-emerald-devore-tea-dress

She also has at least two Beulah scarves

A closer look at the two red evening dresses.

They are very similar but one has the poppy print (blue poppies are the national flowers of Bhutan), the other one is plain and has a tie belt. Both have different cuffs.

Oh my goodness, I love the plain red one. That fluid type fabric is so lovely, it just falls perfectly.

Kristen Stewart is apparently going to play Princess Diana in a new film:

Kristen Stewart is set to star as Diana, Princess of Wales, in a new drama from Pablo Larraín, the acclaimed Chilean director of Jackie.

The film, called Spencer, will follow Diana over one weekend when she decided her marriage to Prince Charles wasn’t working. The film is scripted by Steven Knight, whose credits range from Peaky Blinders to Eastern Promises.

The director was behind the Oscar nominated film 'Jackie' (Natalie Portman won the best actress Oscar for her performance of Jackie O).

Kristen Stewart is half a foot shorter than Diana was.

Wow very interesting images. What a time this is.

Horsemad · 17/06/2020 22:53

Love those red dresses, think the plain one just edges it for me.

I like Zara's Ascot outfit as well; she looks very happy & relaxed there.

RomaineCalm · 18/06/2020 00:53

Gosh, those Monaco pictures are haunting.

I like the red Poppies dress although they are both lovely. I wish Kate would wear more dresses in that style, I think it suits her.

banivani · 18/06/2020 08:27

CPV and PD have had new official portraits taken for their anniversary www.instagram.com/p/CBdTA7rAIsy/ (I'd say those are shots from the shoot so to speak).

Stewart is a pretty good match for Diana apart from the height - I hope they pull a Cruise on that detail during filming because I think it's a huge part of how Diana was perceived and seen, for ill and good.

AngelaScandal · 18/06/2020 08:44

Read that too fast. Thought it was an article about royal gangs.

KensalGreen · 18/06/2020 11:43

I remember Kate's blue Elie Saab Ascot outfit not being very well received at the time but I thought it was stunning! All this is making me miss royal fashion Sad

Loving the 'Royal Ascot At Home' pictures - especially the ladies in nursing homes joining in Smile www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-8426515/Royal-Ascot-revellers-dress-race-day-finery-gardens.html

Oh I love mantillas. I used to wear one at Mass as a child as my gran was stuck in pre Vatican 2 days.
