Love your red dress @SickoffamilydramaSmile Lovely print and shape.

Cool and drizzly here too, I'm wearing my new look dress and mint velvet trainers for a trip to M&S Grin

It definitely feels like comfy dungrees weather, yours look great @toastfiend. I've seen a black denim pair from Next and I'm thinking about whether to give them a go... I've been doing some eBaying of old clothes as part of my one-in-one-out policy, so I have some wardrobe space and some additional funds...

Also love your dungarees @happytobemrsg, such a fab pattern Smile

Sooverthemill · 03/06/2020 15:49

Thanks all, spoken to GP and someone will come tomorrow suitably attired in PPE to take bloods. Hopefully it will be back by the next day as there is a quick turnaround at the moment! Different GP but he is also convinced it's glandular fever despite everyone here shielding or at the very most going to a shop once a week wearing gloves and mask. Oh well. She's miserable and I'm knackered! Lovely outfits everyone. It's humid here but not rainy yet. I've dried masses of bedding, throws, mattress protectors etc this week and feel very virtuous. Also starting to clear out kitchen

KitMarlowesCodpieceOfThigh · 03/06/2020 18:52

People like PalacePaper who have that New Look dress... How does it wash? I've just bought it in a ten which will be fine as long as it doesn't shrink, but the last New Look dress I got definitely got smaller in the wash!

Also, I bought some Lucy and Yak trousers because of this thread and there are the best, comfiest thing EVER, so thank you!

quantumdog · 03/06/2020 18:57

A late post today because I've just got home from seeing my Mum. I haven't seen her in 3 weeks and didn't realise how much I'd missed her until I laid eyes on her again.

Love your dress @Sickoffamilydrama I'm a sucker for anything with flamingoes.

@TheOnlyMrsW You look amazing in your Alexas. You should definitely bite the bullet and get some dungarees though! So comfortable, and anyone of any size, shape or age can rock them. I worried I might be a bit too old at first and look like mutton, but I think they're a kind of universal style and cut and suit everyone.

Gorgeous dress @PalacePaper , and I see we've got some stunning animal print dungas in the thread today too.
I don't really know the back story, but I really hope you get answers and the right treatment for your DD soon @Sooverthemill

Today we have:

Addison Jeans - L&Y
A cheap feminist T-shirt that I'm quite attached to.
And was wearing Superga's earlier.

Much cooler weather today.

Three months! I haven't seen my mum in three months, not weeks. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Sickoffamilydrama · 03/06/2020 19:30

Thanks for the flamingo love all I want to wear it more but feel podgy in it.
Love the t shirt @quantumdog
I've decided I need a black vest underneath top.as it's indecent without the blue one I'm wearing doesn't work.

I've just realised that when I changed my name to post on the general health board I didn't change it back properly so have just done it - now I know what you meant @Sooverthemill - that's been puzzling me for ages! Hope your dd ok - sending positive vibes to you both.
@quantumdog love your outfit but also wow! Love that mirror! 😍
@TheOnlyMrsW love your Alexas and look forward to seeing you in some dungarees soon Grin

Sooverthemill · 03/06/2020 20:25

@EllaPaella I had assumed it was just my general brain fog!
I also love the mirror @quantumdog and I'm glad you've seen your mum. Hoping DH can go and see his mum soon, she's a long way away and he hasn't seen her since October sadly. ( btw DD has very severe ME and she's bed bound unable to walk, sit up, or do anything much. She also had lymphoma a couple of years ago. She's the light of my life but just so sick ( 'unrest' on Netflix pretty well documented very severe ME which is multi systemic, not simply fatigue). It's a bit exhausting as I haven't had more than 2 hours off for 7 years. She's just 21.)

I have several meetings today, so I’m in slightly more normal work attire. The problem with being based in the UK and working for a global company is that all your meetings tend to converge on lunchtime. I’m doing 11:00-14:00 today.

Shirt: Hush
Belt: Mint Velvet
Trousers: Gap
Shoes: Clarks

Sooverthemill · 04/06/2020 08:40

Hoping it stays warm even though we have drizzle.
Tee: ( new) FWP by Rae
Jeans: gap
Sandals: air and grace

Caved in and orders a pair of wide leg jeans in Baukjen sale. Am now deleting all my retail emails except kitchen related.
Will be waiting anxiously for the nurse this morning so won’t do much!

@Sooverthemill that sounds so hard re your DD. I assumed from your posts that she was much younger for some reason. I hope you get some answers. @Sickoffamilydrama that flamingo dress is so cute! @PalacePaper that dress looks great on you. I ordered a dress from NL earlier in the week and also one from Monki.

Despite my dress ordering, it is FREEZING here. I'm in Monki top, Stories cardi, Levi's 501s, and DM monkey boots.

I bought a second, identical pair of these jeans with some birthday money back in March, and pulled them out by mistake instead of the original more worn ones. I realised that I wore them for the first time the last time I went out, which was to see David Baddiel do standup, because the ticket was in the pocket. The venue was half empty, despite being pretty much sold out, and I had a very bad feeling about coronavirus.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 04/06/2020 10:57

Oh, I also have leopard print belt from Whistles on.

PalacePaper · 04/06/2020 12:18

Thank you for the comments on my dress @quantumdog and @Judystilldreamsofhorses, I'm very pleased with it. I haven't washed it yet @KitMarlowesCodpieceOfThigh but as it's viscose I'm expecting shrinkage and that it will need to be ironed to get it back to size - I'd say it's on the smaller side, I'm a 10-12 and have got the 12 and it fits perfectly.

I had a little look at run and fly yesterday to see what dungarees they had - well no-one told me they did dresses! I now have two pinafore dresses (the fox print @happytobemrsg has in dungarees and a pink leopard print) and a cotton summer tea dress in my online basket... it's my birthday soon so maybe I'll treat myself Smile

It's cold here today - M&S jeans (new, £12 in the sale) and sweaty Betty hoodie, lovely and cosy.

Sooverthemill · 04/06/2020 13:43

Thank you. The bloods are just to see why she is extra ill at the moment. Not ever really expecting her to get 'better' from her ME despite a desperate wish that she will. She's so lovely and so very very bright. One of the last things she did before she woke up one day like this was her EPQ English Literature . Ironically we got the letter from EWO saying we were being taken to court for non attendance in November 2013 when she was first in for one of her many hospital admissions and the same day her 100% A* certificate came through for the EPQ. That stay brought her very severe ME diagnosis at least and we got EWO off our backs. But now she is in a dark, silent room lying down 24/7. No smells, no noise, no touch etc etc. But this bloody sore throat is making it a nightmare, I can't get much food down her and we all live in fear of NG feeding again. Oh well. Maybe she just needs different antibiotics.

In better news, I wore my rather splendid red cardigan from Free people today on top of the outfit pictured above. Very cosy!

toastfiend · 04/06/2020 13:45

@PalacePaper the Run & Fly pinafore dresses are amazing. I've got a yellow dinosaur one and love it. Definitely go for it!

Softpebbles · 04/06/2020 14:29

@PalacePaper that’s the colour sweaty Betty hoody is like too. I’m waiting for an offer!

TheOnlyMrsW · 04/06/2020 14:37

I definitely shouldn't have looked at Run & Fly @PalacePaper I've ordered the pink leopard print pinafore as well!!!! @happytobemrsg could you please link to the tops you said were good for under dungarees, apparently I'm going to need them GrinGrinGrin
