Just bought this in the sale. Iooking at it I love it! But was wondering what it'll look like on. I'm 5'5 and size 16-18 do you think you need to be tall and slim? Anyway general thoughts welcome cx

I can't see it!

DramaAlpaca · 22/03/2020 18:11

Do you have a photo or a link?

NuffSaidSam · 22/03/2020 18:12

Ooh cross post!

I like it, but I do think you might need to be tall to pull it off.

Ah, can see it now. I'm not keen, sorry, it's very busy & the colours aren't me.

But if you love it, wear it!

If you’ve got the ‘look’ to carry it off, it’d look amazing.

SunshineOutdoors · 22/03/2020 18:55

I think if you love it, get it and wear it with pride. We’re hardly going to see anyone at the moment anyway. I know my dress sense will get more and more experimental the less people I see (it always does when I go camping)

SunshineOutdoors · 22/03/2020 18:57

I also think that we can’t judge if it will suit you based purely on your height and dress size. A short size 16 feeling confident could look tons better than a tall size 8 who’s normal style is very different to this. So I think if you love it, wear it

ReturnofSaturn · 22/03/2020 19:17

God that's awful Envy

Jolonglegs · 22/03/2020 19:19

No way for me: don't do brown.

UnrulySalvia · 22/03/2020 19:21

I like it (clearly I'm in the minority Grin) but it really depends on your colouring. I'm blonde and pale and it would look shit on me.. much better on someone with dark hair and a tan.

speakfriendandenter · 22/03/2020 19:22

Love it! Love the style and the colourings. Wear and enjoy!

Womenwotlunch · 22/03/2020 19:23

iano · 22/03/2020 19:23

I think this could look fab but I think it might suit a tall person more. Also not ideal for blond pale people

dudsville · 22/03/2020 19:27

I like that it isn't mainstream, and i love toast, it should be great quality. I think it could work well if it suits your colouring and you can wear it in a young and trendy way.

MrsGrindah · 22/03/2020 19:28

It’s not to my taste and I do think with the bust pattern and layering that it might look better in a taller person. It made me think of Little House On The Prairie

MrsGrindah · 22/03/2020 19:28

Busy not bust

NymphadoraBonks · 22/03/2020 19:29

It’s like the patterns you see when you rub your eyes too hard.

userabcname · 22/03/2020 19:32

I bought a similar style recently (it's plain burgundy though, no pattern) and the only comment I got was from my grandad who told me I looked like I was wearing a pair of curtains. No one disagreed so I guess he was right :(

Elouera · 22/03/2020 19:35

If you like it, go for it. For me (similar size/height) it would look awful, and would be the least bit flattering!

TBH- It reminds me of a 70's pattern and dress you see your mum wearing in really old photos.

Thankssomuch · 22/03/2020 19:38

It’s a statement, I like it.
