Just bought this in the sale. Iooking at it I love it! But was wondering what it'll look like on. I'm 5'5 and size 16-18 do you think you need to be tall and slim? Anyway general thoughts welcome cx

It’s a bit “little house on the prairie” shape wise, you just need rhe bonnet, so it’s not for me either but think if you’ve got a very bohemian, art teacher kinda vibe going on then it would work.

It’s the sort of dress I can imagine Miriam Margolyes wearing on a night out. Or a tall slim teenage model. Few in between.

I'm 5 5 and size 10 and wouldn't be seen dead it that. However, I'm 47 and have previously been compared to Barbara from The Good Life, so I'm not exactly the height of fashion!

I could totally imagine Kirsty Allsop wearing that, and your height, size and hair colour sound similar to her. I'd wear it with nude 15 denier tights and brown or tan round toe court shoes and a brown coat, for that vintage feel.

Is that the toast one? You’re probably too short. Check the reviews, if it’s only wearable for tall people there will usually be someone that has posted a review about how it would be perfect if only if weren’t so long.

Yes Bambina it's the toast one - I liked both the red and the yellow but too expensive at full price - so giving it a try in the sale.
