A black tie is my nightmare. The RF are well used to them though.

I probably just say that because I never go to black tie events - in reality I'd probably also find it stressful.

Black tie = OH digging out suit, shouting for bow tie and cufflinks, which are always in the same place in a mini wooden chest of drawers. Whereas black tie for me = agonies of decisions over what to wear. I have come to dislike black tie for this reason. Not young, nor skinny enough these days.

We had a black tie do a few weeks ago. Spanx, makeup & heels. I’d have rather been at home in my pj’s quite frankly.

Middletonian inspiration! Picked up a pleated olive green midi-skirt in a charity shop today, styled it with a plain black top and black heeled boots. DS said ‘Mummy, are you a Princess?’ It’s a keeper 👑

I think W&K seem like a great team, they always look very in sync and comfortable with each other. I can't honestly see how those rumours are true. She is such an asset to the Royal Family, such the perfect choice for him that I can't think why he would jeopardise that.

H&M on the other hand, while she is often the one gazing adoringly at him, I actually always think he looks like he can't believe his luck to have landed her.

Ebba von Sydow has a few really good photos up of Kate’s Ireland clothes and the green dress is growing on me. I still don’t like the pattern but it’s growing on me. So odd.

I really liked MM in the blue dress the other day. Liked her hair and makeup too. Not so keen on her white outfit though.

I've never seen that pic in the blue coat. She looks great in it.

I tend not to like those Gucci-type loafers as a style but I have to admit they look very smart on other people.
