Where can I find 'normal' cardigans?

ifeeldone · 28/02/2020 22:50

I need some cardigans that aren't too thin or thick, button up and sit above the hips (ie no long ones) and the colour can't be see through. Any ideas as to where I can find these mythical cardigans that I see on tv??

M&S is your friend.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 28/02/2020 22:51

Fatface? M&S? White Stuff? John Lewis own brand?

Bombaybunty · 28/02/2020 22:54

Land's End?

ifeeldone · 28/02/2020 22:54

I love Fatface as a brand (80% of my wardrobe is from there) but I can't get on with the cardigans- they either go bobbly or they're too thin or no buttons. Can't win Grin

Gap

Ihatesundays · 28/02/2020 22:57

I got a nice white stuff one recently

madeyemoodysmum · 28/02/2020 22:58

H&M. Gap m&s

Coatandhat · 28/02/2020 22:59

Boden - if I need one (usually to go with a dress) that's where I would buy from. Lovely colours and good quality. Cropped or classic. Crew neck or V-neck.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 28/02/2020 23:25

Uniqlo

PickAChew · 28/02/2020 23:28

I'd look at landsend.

My favourite shop bought cardigan is a fat face one, mind. It's just soft and lovely and neither too thick nor too thin. It's a couple of years old, though. Might be worth checking out one of their outlet shops.

You need Woolovers (mail order). Nice basic cardigans and jumpers in natural yarns in loads of colours. Not too expensive either.

ChippyMinton · 28/02/2020 23:44

Uniqlo merino.

TheLadyAnneNeville · 29/02/2020 13:19

Primark? Was in there the other day. They had lots of what I’d call “traditional fine knit cardigans”.

Pangur2 · 29/02/2020 13:21

Collectif.

BlueEyedPersephone · 29/02/2020 13:38

Another recommendation for uniglo

Oly4 · 29/02/2020 13:40

These from Boden, they also do a cropped version. They wash amazingly well and last a long time. Search for a discount code on the promo boards - 15 or 20%

Itwasntme1 · 29/02/2020 13:44

I also have a lovely good quality cardigan from Boden.

Can be slightly more expensive, but search for discount codes - never pay full price.

katmarie · 29/02/2020 13:56

Try Edinburgh Woolen Mill, they do some lovely cashmere and knitwear.

Hazelnutlatteplease · 29/02/2020 13:58

Primark

Woolovers if it absolutely must be 100% wool

Deathraystare · 29/02/2020 15:21

I like the look of the M&S ones but they are mostly either Cashmere or Viscose. I am quite happy with Primarni ones though.

caulkheaded · 29/02/2020 15:22

H and M

Ellapaella · 29/02/2020 15:23

I've literally just bought a black one today In H&M. I'm a nurse and this is the only style we are allowed to wear (not when I'm contact with patients obviously). It was £8.99
