If you don't have a dressing table, where do you get ready?

Having to have a little rearrange in the house as baby number 1 is on the way and we will be using the current dressing room as nursery. I haven't really got the space for my dressing table to go so I'm wondering where you all get ready if you don't have a dressing table?

I just stand infront of the mirror on my wall.

I have my make up I use every day in a make up bag in my drawer that I pull out when getting ready. Hair I just stand there too.

I never use my dressing table, I sit in bed to put my make up on and use the mirror in my wardrobe to do my hair, get dressed, put jewellery on etc.

Bathroom. Makeup and hair products are on a shelf near the bathroom mirror.

Bathroom . All my make up etc (such as it is) is in there. I don't have a dressing table.

Bathroom. Or sit on the bed. I dont think many people have a dressing room...

In all honesty I do it sat on bed using a handheld mirror. Comfy, good lighting there and i can watch TV while I'm doing it. I have mirrored wardrobes in front of the bed anyway if i want to see a full length.

At my dining room table, using a shaving mirror. Plenty of natural light.

I keep make-up, hair brush etc in drawers in my bedside table and use them standing in front of my wall mirror.

I don't really use my dressing table. I stand up in front of a mirror or sit on the floor in front of my long mirror.

I have all my make up in the living room in a basket because I get ready while hounding children to get shoes on etc and we are all downstairs. I sometimes take the basket through to the dining room and put make up on whilst eating breakfast and chatting to the DC. If I went upstairs again to get ready, the DC would stop getting ready and we'd all be late!

I sit in front of the window to do my makeup as I like the natural light. I have my Makeup bag and a boots illuminating mirror on the window sill.

I have a lovely dressing table that I never use!

Sit on my bed with a handheld mirror that I prop up on make up bag, hairdryer etc plugged in under bed

i have a dressing table in our spare room but i rarely use it. i prefer to sit on my bedroom floor in front of the window.

I've never used a dressing table in my life. When you say 'get ready' what do you mean? Put makeup on? I don't usually bother. If I do, I have a small mirror I leave on the window ledge, or I use the one in our bathroom. I brush my hair downstairs on the way out. I do have a chest of drawers where all my sh*t lives. Like jewellery and bottles and hair stuff.

On the floor in front of full length mirror. Make up etc kept in boxes under bed that I slide in and out. I've got a lamp and a nice soft rug.

The bathroom at the window watching the birdies. Our room is too dark for makeup.

I use the big mirror above our fireplace in the living room and bring my make up bag in and use the mantlepiece to put my stuff on. Never had a dressing table.

I used to miss my dressing table. I didn't have enough space for one when I moved. I have rearranged my bedroom furniture a few times trying to create the perfect space for getting ready in the mornings. Eventually I have managed. I have everything in drawers close to me and an area for my hair straighteners etc and I stand at a large mirror on the wall.

I've got three little kids so I get ready all over the house, as I'm usually running round after them and trying to shove some mascara on at the same time! Never owned a dressing table in my life.

I have a small make up bag and hairbrush in the living room on the book shelf. I usually splash on some moisturizer and brush my hair while ds1 has breakfast and ds2 breastfeeds. Cba with any more than that.

Bathroom mirror

Before I had a dressing table I sat on the bottom of my bed and propped my mirror up on the windowsill. I like having the natural light to do my make up. Dressing table is now actually in a less good position for getting natural light but I have a SAD lamp on it to try and get the same effect.

I sit at the kitchen table. I've done that since I left home at 17, and even though I have a lovely bedroom to get ready in, I still do my hair and make up downstairs.

Lots of natural light and I used a hand held mirror for my make up.

I don't feel right if I get ready anywhere else!

Do you mean make-up or getting dressed? I've lived in 4 houses and always done make-up in the bathroom. Shelves/cupboard for storage and better lighting than other rooms.
For dressing, I do that in the bedroom where I have a full length mirror.
