Sheetmasks - how many times a week do you use them?

One of my closest friends is a beauty blogger who loves sheet masks and now I’m hooked on them as well Blush. She uses them every day in the evening but she’s sort of a ‘professional sheetmask user’ and I wonder how many times per week those of you who love them too, use one?

What a waste. They're not needed unless your skin dries out on a airplane (better alternatives available), get an essence instead:

Once a week at most. I like them, but can’t see the point of more often.

mumme111 · 18/02/2020 14:59

I mask every night now as my skin was awful but I alternate each night using a clay mask one night a scrubbing mask another night a sheet mask another night and a peel another night and so it goes on lol my skin has never looked better x

Honeybee85 · 18/02/2020 14:59

I do love sheetmasks and the after effects are second to none, but hate using them in winter! During summer I probably use them 1-2x a week

Mooey89 · 18/02/2020 15:21

2x per week after a clay mask x

mumme111 · 18/02/2020 16:29

They are really good to use after microneedling your face or dermaplaning x

ReginaGeorgeous · 18/02/2020 16:36

Once a week after a clay mask.

Mainly because I love putting one on, then coming downstairs unannounced and scaring the shit out of my husband

rc22 · 18/02/2020 18:58

I always warn my husband when I’m putting one on!!

CodenameVillanelle · 18/02/2020 19:04

What are they for?

BonSoirMonCherie · 18/02/2020 21:08

Never, they are so bad for the environment.

doadeer · 18/02/2020 21:10

I wish I liked these but they make me feel seriously claustrophobic and I can't relax. I would say nightly is excessive though! I use a cleansing Balm, tone, serum and moisturiser and I think that's quite enough! Exfoliate every few days

WellTidy · 18/02/2020 21:13

Every couple of months. I love them, but can’t imagine using them every night!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 18/02/2020 21:15

I tend to do a clay mask on a Saturday, sheet mask on a Sunday.

NorthernSpirit · 18/02/2020 21:19

Never, they are bad for the environment!

cheezy · 18/02/2020 21:19

Yes what are they and why are they so good?

doadeer · 18/02/2020 21:22

These are sheet masks

Dizzywizz · 18/02/2020 21:29

Why are they better than the old style creamy type you put on with your fingers?

BillywigSting · 18/02/2020 21:34

About twice a week in winter once a week in summer.

Where I work the heating is always cranked right up (care homes) and my skin seriously suffers for it in winter.

It was a in a bit of a sorry state before I started using sheet masks and now it is no longer tight, flaky or dull.

I bloody love them

MapMyMum · 18/02/2020 21:48

No I find they slip all over the place, and they are terrible for the environment too which really puts me off, sorry!

CodenameVillanelle · 18/02/2020 21:49

But what do they have on them? Why are they so good?

Snog · 18/02/2020 21:52

They seem pretty expensive to me - I'm interested in what brands people use and how much does it cost?

CrowleysBentley · 18/02/2020 23:04

Maybe once a fortnight, if I feel like a bit of a pampering I'll use one after my serum. That's only really because my DD got me a few different hydrogel ones for Christmas. Previously I would only occasionally pick up a good one for the night before an event or something like that.

I find that the first aid beauty bouncy mask (it's a cream one) has a similar skin plumping effect on me to a decent sheet mask, comes in a 50ml tub and you don't need to use masses of it, so it lasts ages, and is less wasteful.

EuroMillionsWinner · 18/02/2020 23:08

Never. They're horrible for the environment.

Honeybee85 · 19/02/2020 01:20

@Snog there’s a huge variety of options/ price ranges. I have found one for 50 p in the local poundshop but you can buy ones that cost £20 each...it really depends on your preferences.
Many Korean and Japanese brands make them.

I like those of Innisfree (about £1 each) and my friend swears by Master Lab, both are Korean brands.
