Inspired by 'Beauty products you regret . . . ' let's share beauty products you love!

Clinique 7 Day Scrub - inexpensive, smooths dry skin on my face, make up always sits better after I have used it, always use in the shower otherwise fine granules end up in my hair

Mac Studio Fix Foundation - used it for years, great coverage, tried others but always come back to this

Aveeno - the only cream that sorts out my eczema

Clean & Clear face wash - the only thing that keeps my spot prone skin under control

OP posts:

Superdrug naturally radiant skincare.

Cheap as chips and better than the Estée Lauder range I used to use.

DiscoJanet · 14/02/2020 00:30

Davinas OI hair milk - amazing, can use it on damp hair as heat protector and as a smoothing milk on dry hair, gives amazing shine and frizz control (and my hair is naturally very thick and coarse), totally light and non sticky and smells divine.

Aesop fabulous facial oil.

Sunday Riley Luna night oil.

At the cheaper end, nivea lotion for cleansing, and boots own brand sensitive eye make up remover Smile

Flexitol heel balm.

foreverhungry2409 · 14/02/2020 00:31

Silk and bubble hair masks are amazing!
Also love my Estée Lauder and huda beauty foundations.
Have definitely seen an improvement in my eye bags since using olay eye cream (can't remember which one it is to hand)
Carmex is my go to for dry lips
Oh and the Fenty contour sticks are fool proof!

Sorry for the long list😭😂

Redken volume sky high shampoo - blue bottle, good for greasy hair.

Clinique yellow soap

Nivea blue tub

Maybelline black mascara in the pink tube

Hawaiian tropic used to do a REALLY good fake tan in a squidgy tin but its discontinued

I do like Sally Hansen nail products too - I do my own French manicure, the varnish is called Pebble I think

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/02/2020 08:12

Dermatological multivitamin mask. Nothing like it on the market.

Best of all dermalogica don’t test on animals for the Chinese markets. They actually have principles.

bingowingsmcgee · 14/02/2020 11:37

Mac studio fix powder foundation, Vaseline, cerave lotion and cream, Lauder anr, John Frieda hairspray, dettol soap, clarins neck cream

NiteFlights · 14/02/2020 12:24

La Roche Posay handcream and lip balm.

L’Oreal Glow Cherie or whatever it’s called - glowy BB cream.

Clinique Lash Power mascara - the only one that doesn’t irritate my eyes.

Soap & Glory Hand Maid hand sanitizer (I handle cash at work)

Most other things I would consider trying a different brand if it was on offer, but these are all really reliable. LRP is the best hand cream I’ve ever used.

QueenOfOversharing · 14/02/2020 12:41

La Mer lip balm (I have skin picking disorder & it's best thing that properly heals my lips)

Fresh sugar face scrub & the new sugar exfoliating wash

LRP Cicaplast balm - post tretinoin skin saviour

Dermatica tret + hydroquinone

Olaplex 6 leave in hair bond smoother

Kerastase genesis anti breakage (new range, used Redken extreme or Kerastase blonde absolu before)

Vita Liberata invisi foam tan

NarniaBanarnia · 14/02/2020 12:53

Indeed Labs retinol resurface cream

Emma Hardie Moringa cleanser

Sunday Riley Tidal moisturiser - expensive but worth every penny (thanks to this I need no makeup so I save on that!)

Heliocare mineral fluid spf 50 - once you get used to the slightly unpleasant smell on application (it fades very quickly) it's fab and the only sunscreen that doesn't break me out.

Thanks to a recc on here, Urban Decay eyeliner in Stash!

These are the only products I have used again and again and use no alternatives. Other products (serums, masks, oils etc) I try different ones and am not wedded to any in particular. These ones above are my holy grails!

humsnet · 14/02/2020 12:55

Mac Studio Fix powder foundation. Amazing colour match, perfect texture, fast and foolproof application even in the back of a taxi. I’ve been using it for over 20 years.

Clinique Black Honey lipgloss. Lovely texture, beautiful MLBB colour, doesn’t stick to my hair like lipglosses.

SnoozyLou · 14/02/2020 13:03

Ester Lauder revitalising supreme moisturiser.

Blisteze lip balm.

HaHaVeryBunny · 14/02/2020 13:05

Aussie hair products are great.

Mythic Oil is great too, gives a nice shine to your hair.

For super long lashes I recommend the lilash serum, it takes a while to work, while your new lashes grow in. And is very pricey but definitely worth it, I've had a few people asking if I'm wearing eyelash extensions, so it's definitely doing something right!Grin Then I just slap on my primark mascara and I'm good to go.

MyuMe · 14/02/2020 16:20

Aveda Be Curly

Clinique City Block SPF 40

ColleysMill · 14/02/2020 18:55

Doublewear foundation - made a massive difference to my appearance.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara - tried others but nothing ive found matches this. I will cry if it ever gets discontinued

LOreal Lotus Pink makeup remover - mega stuff

Lidls Suddenly perfume - i can wear other more expensive perfumes but this 3.99 beauty is the one people always always comment on.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 14/02/2020 19:13

Aveda Shampure
Paul Mitchell The Conditioner
Aveda Daily Hair Repair

After years of searching for The Holy Grails - this is them.

DefinatelyAWeeGobshite · 14/02/2020 19:27

It Cosmetics CC cream
Glossier stretch concealer
Nudestix blushers
Chanel bronzer
Essence mascaras
NYX butter gloss in Angel Cake
ELF The New Classics eyeshadow palette

Chanel eau tendre perfume

The Body Shop camomile cleansing butter

HundredMilesAnHour · 14/02/2020 19:32

Redken Extreme shampoo, conditioner & anti-snap treatment - this range has made a massive and very visible difference to my hair

Haeckels Marine Facial Cleanser - this is the only face wash that can pry me away from Dermalogica. It's just amazing for my problematic skin.

Haeckels Eco Marine Cream - I use this as night cream and my skin looks great. And it meets every eco, sustainable, non-animal testing requirement that exists. Haeckels are BIG on principles. Superb ground-breaking company.

Haeckels Vegan Exfoliating Seawood Block - I use this in the shower as a soap bar. It's one of Haeckels first products and one of their best. Yes, I am a total Haeckels groupie.

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Tonic - Such good value and far better than Pixi Glow or other competitors. This makes a visible difference to my skin and I love it!

Giorgio Armani Creme Nera Extreme Eye Serum - It's expensive but you can literally see the difference after using it. Amazing stuff. Armani make fabulous skincare (and make-up), just wish I could afford more of it.

Marc Jacobs Poutliner Longwear Lip Pencil - Great staying power. Great colours. I always come back to this pencil.

MAC Studio Fix concealer - I've been using this for over 20 years now and no other concealer comes close.

IT Cosmetics CC cream - An America friend raved about this years ago but I wasn't converted until I tried a sample in Sephora in Melbourne. Since then I've used it religiously as my "daily foundation". Great coverage and the SPF really works! It also doesn't disappear down my face when I sweat which is handy for gym sessions or hot, humid holidays. Thank goodness it's in the UK now.

Jozen · 14/02/2020 19:53

I read here years ago about Nivea Men's Post Shave Balm being used as a primer under make up so gave it a go.
Amazing, haven't used anything else since.

Also use Lanisoh nipple cream on lips when they get chapped. I live and work near a harbour so get battered by some brutal sea winds as I'm outdoors a lot in all weathers.
Elizabeth Arden 8 hour night cream- stinks to high heaven but does the job.

TabbyCatPaws · 15/02/2020 07:29

EL illuminating primer
EL doublewear nude foundation
Urban decay eye palettes
Olay total effects moisturiser with hint of self tan

Nogoodwithgoodbyes · 15/02/2020 07:55

@percheron67

What do you use the 8 hour cream for? Is it similar to Trilogy Everything Balm? I use it mostly as lip balm but also on my cuticles.

Nogoodwithgoodbyes · 15/02/2020 07:58

I have changed products a lot over the years but here are a few I do love:

Any Lancôme mascara
EL doublewear foundation for occasions or nights out.
Trilogy rosehip oil.

Nogoodwithgoodbyes · 15/02/2020 08:00

@ColleysMill

I agree about the appearance with DW! When I started wearing it, a male friend did a double take. I’ve stopped now as I got adult acne so was worried it was too heavy for fault use but I’ll definitely pull it out for occasions!

percheron67 · 15/02/2020 08:30

NotwiththeGoodbyes. Hello. I had not heard of the Trilogy product but will investigate. Thank you. I use the 8 hour cream on lips, cuticles, elbows, knees and patches of eczema. Also, helps with sunburn and sore patches.

autumnleaves15 · 15/02/2020 08:39

Revlon Colourstay foundation shade 180 (good dupe for double wear but I still prefer the Revlon)

Zooeva 104 foundation brush

Urban Decay naked concealer - fair neutral

Benefit coralista and hoola

Garnier micellar water

Simple bar of soap for cleansing

Carbon theory soap for use twice a week

Palmer's cocoa butter (potentially controversial but it's £2.50ish for a massive big bottle and I use it on my face - eeek! -and body. The skin on my face has never looked better)

Mac matte lipsticks

Moroccanoil hair oil

Morphe eyeshadows

Urban decay eyeshadow palettes

Next nail polish in the square bottles surprisingly last for ages and are super pigmented!

OGX shampoos and conditioners
