I love the Vogue 71 questions!

I do not love the MM video, but I think the way she pushed her agenda beyond the original plan shows what her position could’ve achieved.

thisenglishlife · 15/02/2020 17:52

It's 73 Questions not 71, if only there were fewer questions 🤣

paradyning · 15/02/2020 17:54

What utter guff is she spouting.

QueenOfTheAndals · 15/02/2020 17:55

@Alexgs are those actual quotes? Much of it sounds like waffle!

Alexgs - she may not be down pit but she is working. She was never going to win with that podcast though because if you are attractive and have money you are not allowed to have any problems ever.

mrscampbellblackagain · 15/02/2020 18:02

And just fail to mention how she talks about addicts and how their issues may go back to childhood.

Honestly, the podcast is interesting and worth listening too before leaping to judgement.

OutComeTheWolves · 15/02/2020 18:24

I found the podcast very interesting. I think the transcript that was posted up thread makes her seem unintelligent but actually the impression I got was that she was a bit nervous (hence the pauses and unfinished sentences) but that she was intelligent, well informed and aware that she was passing on information from the actual experts as opposed to trying to present herself as an expert in the field. She also seemed to be aware that she lives a privileged life but wanted to find commonalities between her life and those of the mums that she meets.

mrscampbellblackagain · 15/02/2020 18:35

I agree outcomethewolves! But I am pre-disposed to like anyone who remembers her parents turning up at all their sports matches as being a good thing as spend a lot of my time watching school fixtures Wink

frugalkitty · 15/02/2020 18:41

mrscampbell me too although I'm more of a summer sport watcher and let DH juggle the boys football in the bad weather! Grin

mrscampbellblackagain · 15/02/2020 18:42

Frugal, I thought cricket would be great - but still seem to be freezing watching that!

ajandjjmum · 15/02/2020 18:47

I miss those days - standing on the sidelines!

mrscampbellblackagain · 15/02/2020 18:50

I have a whole 'watching fixtures' wardrobe ;) How to look stylish in freezing weather. There is a definite look here in the south west - I wonder if there are regional variations?

frugalkitty · 15/02/2020 18:55

I'm quite well covered for winter watching as I have a number of 'playground coats' to suit all seasons and rainfall. I find my feet get really cold though and my back aches if there's nowhere to sit. DH often runs the line at the boys matches so manages to stay warm but after all these years of watching gossiping with the other mums I still no nothing about football so that (and the fact I'm unfit) means that's not an option for me Grin

JayAlfredPrufrock · 15/02/2020 19:04

Netball in a hailstorm was always fun.

But pony competitions are a whole different level of misery.

mrscampbellblackagain · 15/02/2020 19:06

Thankfully have only done pony competitions in boiling sunshine. Netball and hockey tournaments, brrrrrr! Double socks, Canada goose and chargeable handwarmer - best Christmas present ever!

CanIHaveATiaraPlease · 15/02/2020 19:14

The benefit of my dcs growing up is no more sporting fixtures

StCharlotte · 15/02/2020 19:33

Does she use the k word or is it safe to listen?

SenecaFallsRedux · 15/02/2020 19:33

Living in a warm climate as I do, outdoor sporting events during the school year usually were tolerable. Beginners youth orchestra, on the other hand . . . .

mrscampbellblackagain · 15/02/2020 19:36

Seneca - was going to say I would take a sports event in artic conditions over a year 2 music concert anyday Wink

Stcharlotte - you are safe to listen! Honestly, it is a nice listen.

mrscampbellblackagain · 15/02/2020 19:36

arctic!

thisenglishlife · 15/02/2020 19:40

Here is the transcript, if anyone wants to read instead of listen:

www.giovannafletcher.com/blog/posts/happy-mum-happy-baby-the-duchess-of-cambridge

My favourite bit - she said her favourite thing to do is to be outdoors and get filthy dirty.

mrscampbellblackagain · 15/02/2020 19:43

I do think Kate's natural environment is outdoors on the hockey pitch. My daughter is the same. I am probably more like Meghan and would rather do a nice yoga class somewhere lovely.

QueenOfTheAndals · 15/02/2020 19:57

That's actually an interesting read, and I see she did hypnobirthing. So if I ever met her then that's a common experience we could chat about!

QueenOfTheAndals · 15/02/2020 19:58

Same @mrscampbellblackagain, I am not one for the Great Outdoors and the very thought of something like camping makes me shudder!

OP posts:
mrscampbellblackagain · 15/02/2020 20:04

I camped for the first time last year. It was not for me. I love the outdoors when looking at it from indoors Wink
