First day at work shoe/trouser dilemma (pic)

Starting back at work tomorrow for first time in 5yrs, last time I worked it was all flared and boot cut trousers. I thought this might look dated now so I bought some straight leg trousers but do they look silly with court shoes?

Wow, those new trousers are stunning, you look much younger and trimmer!

Good luck you will deffo look the part!

The shop trousers look better to me. The first Inès looked better when taken up an inch or more. Dontwear those kind of boots with smart trousers tucked in ( that's my opinion of course). Also, boot legs and flares are actually back in fashion ( say the magazines) so you could try those old ones. A new job is stressful so I understand why you are worrying! If you pass the trial then maybe look at a couple of inexpensive trousers or skirts from Sainsbury's or George to get you through a few weeks? Add in a new blouse and a crew neck jumper and you will be fine,

Good luck!

Good luck for tomorrow!

Thanks for your help everyone. I tried on some flat shoes on sainsburys but it just didn't look right to me so I'm going with the court shoes. I am tallish so I don't need the height but I just feel smarter and carry myself better! Really appreciate all your help and suggestions and good luck wishes!

A pair of brogues would go brilliantly! Bonus ‘current’ points if they’re chunky and/or have a platform sole. 👍
