Planning on a registry office wedding, no fuss but would like a nice dress.

Nothing ott, not white, not too much lace, long though but most importantly cheap! £100 max really!

Any successful purchases by Mnetters? Where did you buy? Any advice gratefully received Grin

Hi! Bought my wedding dress from a St Peter’s Hospice shop which had a whole floor devoted to bridal wear. Had a layer of silk added to the skirt and the top properly fitted/adjusted by a seamstress. Please let us know how you get on/what you find. Good luck! 😊

I've bought a Adrianna Papell wedding dress from John Lewis they have a sale on at the moment was £107. Might be worth a look.

I’m quite liking the Monsoon dress, although not quite the look I’d envisioned.

Any ideas how to achieve this type of look for my hair? Or similar without the flowers? My hair’S going to be long and wavy.

Oh and a bolero that’s not a bolero? Not faux fur (feel they look terrible on me) or lace!?

I can’t find anything I like to wear incase it’s freezing outside. I’d be happy wearing my black leather jacket (which actually I think looks quite cool on some of the bride photos I’ve seen).Crown Wink obviously not for the ceremony but afterwards.

If anyone hadn’t mentioned it..preloved

So I’m still liking the Monsoon dress I ordered but looked on eBay last night and ordered this Monsoon dress which was listed in my budget range! Crown Confused now, it might be a scam, if so I have PayPal protection but if it’s genuine this might be where I change my mind! Crown Grin if it doesn’t turn up I’ll go with the one I’ve got but this one is the look I sort of had in mind to begin with. It is ivory and not white.

Both of those monsoon dresses look promising.

JJshouse get awful reviews, so I’d avoid: uk.trustpilot.com/review/jjshouse.com

Bought mine in Debenhams sale. I think I paid £70 and then £35 for adjustments by a local dressmaker. Never regretted it.

Scarlett&Jo bridal have some lovely simple gowns, floor length and cut for boobs/curves.

Also, our local register office has a preloved bridal boutique, maybe you have something similar?

My dress was an ivory prom dress bought for £40,accessorised with a satin bolero from ebay (China) for £10. I just saw the simple dress and knew it was the one. Hopefully yours will jump out at you!

I follow the local reg office on facebook and they post pictures of the weddings, and from the variety of dresses I'd say anything goes from super simple suits or even jeans, to massive froufrou gowns, so don't let the venue be a factor, just go for what you love.

I got mine from Debenhams, £80, it was so comfortable and looked so nice, I got loads of compliments on it. My friend got hers from Monsoon for around £100 and it was lovely as well.
