Unhappy with fillers I got and torn on what I should do

I have recently got cheek fillers done , what I wanted was mid face filler to give me fuller cheeks since I started losing volume and I repeatedly told the doctor what I want and how I want it but instead was given sharp and pointy cheekbones and I didn’t get the volume I wanted . I paid a few hundred pounds for this procedure and did not get what I wanted or asked for. The doctor is a really lovely lady and I don’t know what to do , I would love to get a refund though because I told her what I want and she did the complete opposite but I feel rather embarrassed to go and ask for this . I don’t even know whether I will get a refund or not . Does anyone else have a similar experience ?? Is it possible to even get a refund and what do you think I should do in this case ??

@Freshnewus i have sent a nice long email explaining my issues with the outcome and where everything went wrong and how we can move on from it but it’s been over 24 hours and no response ,yet when I was booking in I got a fast response . I agree that some doctors and fancy clinics aren’t better than other injectors , I’m dissapointed at the amount I’ve spent and the quality not matching this but this is a lesson learnt

I think getting a refund would be very difficult but hopefully she will dissolve free of charge. Or offer to redo it.

It’s still early days. You’re swollen. It will settle and partially metabolise doesn’t it might not look as harsh in 3 weeks time.

How did you pay? If via credit card, you could open a chargeback or section 75 claim if her response isn’t satisfactory.

You could potentially take her to court depending on how strong your case is. Eg if you specifically requested mid face (eg under the under eye area) and she filled your cheeks near your temples, she injected that area without your consent and didn’t follow your wishes so their may be a consumer law breach or even medical negligence. You’d have to speak to a solicitor to assess though.

@Rachelfromfriends1 i was told to wait 3 weeks till it settles but I still know I am going to be unsatisfied with the result because she injected in a place I didn’t ask for. I tried to report it to the bank and that didn’t work as it was a chip and pin purchase . My only luck is her offering to dissolve and redo the treatment which I don’t know if she’s willing to do . If she doesn’t offer to redo the treatment I will write a bad review on her

What an awful experience. Definitely leave the reviews if she doesn’t resolve this.

You have some legal options. As it’s of £600 value and will probably cost further hundreds to 1. get it dissolved elsewhere and 2. possibly redone, it may be worth discussing with personal injury/medical negligence solicitors that have experience with dermal filler, as it’s a high enough value claim to interest them. Alternatively you could try small claims court/money claim online and send her a letter before action yourself etc.

Doesn't someone have to be a prescriber to dissolve filler
I had a disastrous result when i had filler on liplines ,like smokers lines,
The lady had to get a nurse prescriber to be with her while she dissolved them,it took 3 months to get it done, she also refunded me in full
The lady i go to now did mid face filler, as i had lost volume in my cheeks due to age
She used a cannula, and it is the best thing i have ever done,
My lady is a dentist, and dentists are the best people to do this,as they know where nerves etc in the face are
I would never again go to a salon for any treatment

£50 to make it last an extra 18 months?? I don't understand this?
Everything she has done seems right up until this point?

CalmFizz · 18/01/2020 11:36

How are they looking now op?

Lorenab · 18/01/2020 18:09

@CalmFizz I look the same no difference , my cheekbones are higher that’s it . Still not the result I wanted . I was told to wait 3 weeks till it settles so I have 2 more weeks to go

I had my cheek filler at therapie clinic and they didn't offer follow up appointment or review appointment. They also didn't do good job and I paid so much money wasted
