New year, new decade, new thread. Come join us for friendly fashion chat, you can agonise over the right length to wear your jeans or deliberate the exact tone of lippy. A frivolous space in tricky times. All welcome.

Love [https://www.theoutnet.com/en-au/shop/product/erdem/coats/long-coat/sorayah-embellished-leopard-print-faux-fur-coat/4394988608697697 this]] faux fur.

Love Goat for a classy office dress. Is anyone else a Goat fan? I have a soft spot for a 60s aesthetic which I think they do well. I can attest that their fabric is always lovely quality (albeit dry clean only).

This red knit is lovely but I have something very similar already.

Applefairy · 21/12/2020 06:26

Excuse my link fail!

Applefairy · 21/12/2020 06:40

For a recent Christmas party I wore this dress, although I styled it very differently - nude GR mules and burgundy Drew bag with gold earrings and chunky gold bangle. I may try with a belt but I think there is a lot going on already in that dress.

I am looking for a smart checked blazer or coat - to wear with jeans. I like autumnal colours: olive green, burnt orange, deep chestnut etc.

Also in the hunt for a black plain shoulder bag. Same size as the APC half moon. I have always thought I missed the boat on the Gucci Soho - I wonder if I would still get the wear out of it. Any other suggestions welcome.

Also picked up this dress on the sale rack of a local boutique. Once we are allowed back into our office I am going to have some lovely clothes to wear Smile

Gorgeous duvet coat for someone long and lean.

This is the kind of thing it is worth investing in if you can't get dressed up to go anywhere inside, but you want to feel snug and comfortable when you go walking in miserable weather.

LoveFromDeauville · 24/12/2020 13:36

Just swooping in to wish you all the most stylish of Christmases. Hope you are all well and looking forward to some downtime. It’s a wonderfully chaotic household here with the DC full of excitement. I am more than ready for church later followed by champagne and a seafood spread. Hope to be a better Voguer in 2021. Much love to you all Flowers

shopafrolic · 24/12/2020 14:11

Oh goodness @LoveFromDeauville have we texted in the last few days? NCers always confuse me!

Merry Christmas Voguettes. This has been the weirdest of years, and we nearly lost the thread altogether. But it is only thanks to MNV that I have been fortunate enough to call some of you stylish bunch my besties. And without you this year would have been a whole lot tougher.
I love you all lots. Get your lipstick on and let’s hope CV does one in 2021. Stay stylish 😘😘😘

MarshaBradyo · 24/12/2020 23:27

Merry Christmas lovely Voguettes 🎄🎉

Here’s to a lovely day and better times soon xxx

MissKittyKitty · 25/12/2020 07:26

Merry Christmas Voguettes and here's hoping for a 2021 MU. WineWineWine

Dreamqueen · 25/12/2020 08:20

Happy Christmas MNV. Hope you all have a great day.

I hang my head in shame & confess to be wearing totally unstylish Christmas pyjamas, drinking a cup of tea while trying to plan a slightly more stylish outfit for later.

maradesbois · 25/12/2020 10:17

Merry Christmas wonderful Voguettes, hope you are managing to keep your spirits bright. Much love to all xx 🎄✨❤️

maradesbois · 25/12/2020 10:23

Also I can’t not dress up for Christmas Day even
just to sit at home so will be shortly changing into last year’s Christmas party dress (brown plissé long shirt dress with side splits and swishy skirt from Rotate Birger Christensen, gold flats and Alighieri drop earrings. Would love to know what others are wearing xx✨🍾🥂🎁

LoveFromDeauville · 25/12/2020 12:00

I’m wearing Z and V peonies mini dress and feeling great. Father Christmas was exceptionally generous this year but then I have been a good girl Wink The DC have collapsed in a sugar induced coma and I am just relishing the peace, if only for ten minutes. Have a wonderful day all Wine

MarshaBradyo · 25/12/2020 12:49

I love hearing these beautiful choices for today’s style

I’m afraid I’m letting the side down with dh’s new Lacoste sweater and MiH ankle grazers. But I have a three year old who is ultra bouncy and excited on stocking chocolate.

I’m tipsy on champagne and Iggy Pop on R6 is soothing my soul (as my 11 year old would say). Just need some snow this week and that’d be fab.

I have a new rule that I don’t guide in presents so Dh did his own thing. Liberty of course, I’ll await to the present sharing part of vogue to see what we all think!

shopafrolic · 25/12/2020 16:41

Wearing Karen Millen button flat fronted trousers, black polo neck and Sam Edelman Karen boots with lots of red lips - champagne permanently by my side - Merry Christmas all xx

LoveFromDeauville · 25/12/2020 17:26

Oh I’m excited to hear what gifts were received. I’m very happy. The DC got my favourite Byredo fragrance and DH gave me a beautiful watch I’d been dreaming of this year. Also got some lovely Space NK and Jo Malone goodies and very simple but pretty diamond studs from Boodles. Eating shortly - we always eat late on Christmas Day. Hope you’ve all been thoroughly spoilt Xmas Wink

CarolineBingley · 26/12/2020 10:41

Happy Boxing Day Voguettes!!Xmas Smile Hope you all had a lovely day yesterday! Ours was lovely although a tad stressful at times trying to manage the right balance of zoom calls, family time, getting the meal ready and THE GREAT TIDY UP operation afterwards with no other family members to chip in and help or distract the kids!Grin

I got a lovely and really interesting haul of presents. I banned dh from getting me jewellery this year and told him he had to spend less than £500 so he had to be creative. He got me a smart writing eclipse set, 2 framed photos, a new magnetic phone cover for my phone and a pillow tablet holder. The boy did good. However, the look on his face was priceless as I unwrapped his present from his parents to see they had got me a beautiful antique diamond and pearl necklaceXmas Grin. It’s a big diamond in the shape of a flower and in the middle is a pearl.

I did get dressed up yesterday but it was a Christmas jumper with Santa hat but I did wear make up and do my hair. My dm would be terribly disappointed in me if she thought even in lockdown I didn’t make an effort on Christmas Day.Xmas Smile

Has anyone looked at the sales yet?

Applefairy · 27/12/2020 08:16

Merry Christmas to all!

@CarolineBingley, yes, I have already done some sales shopping! After close to a year of working from home, I’ll be going back to the office in February - so I’m getting excited about workwear. I have ordered a few new Ganni dresses to try something different - I will post links later Smile.

Also, I’m finally allowed to travel to see family - so we are heading off together for a beach holiday in a few weeks - it will be very hot so I’m going to take lots of linen, swimsuit coverups, flip flops, rafia/basket bags and espadrilles.

Applefairy · 27/12/2020 12:26

Sale dresses - not sure how they will look on but I want to try something different and more contemporary for office-wear 2021.

Also this bag from The Row. I particularly like the fine gold chain strap.

@Applefairy great dresses and the bag is very pretty

@shopafrolic loving the red lips. Wouldn’t expect anything else from you! Xmas Wink

DryWhiteagainW · 28/12/2020 09:12

Happy Christmas everyone Xmas Grin I’m so late !!!
A very different Christmas to the one I had planned (where I was bringing the meat and had gone a bit crazy and over catered leaving me with a 10k turkey and 108 pigs in blanket Shock ). But we had a lovely time AND in true MNV style I did not let the side down and thoroughly dressed up for the big day in sequinned off the shoulder top, black slim leg trousers and stiletto dock boots. Felt great.

Applefairy I just LOVE that black broderie dress you wore for your Xmas do.....you all must know how much I love a dress and a bit of lace.
I haven’t really scrolled to far back, so apologies for not commenting on other purchases.
But, despite being unusually quiet, I have been with you all in spirit this year and want to thank you all for continuing to inspire me. I’m desperate to come to London for a MU and catch up. 2021 will be a lot better I’m sure.
Oh and I’ve had a lovely sale purchase ....

DryWhiteagainW · 28/12/2020 09:13

Sock boots.........not “dock” that would never happen!!!

DryWhiteagainW · 28/12/2020 09:21

Website not working.....so I’ve been watching a Massimo Dutti tan leather jacket for ages and it went in the sale!!! Now it’s mine ha!!! Very happy.

CarolineBingley · 28/12/2020 09:48

@DryWhiteagainW you looked totally fab at Christmas.Xmas SmileYou do a good biker jacket!

@Applefairy oh the joy oh being able to plan for in person work outfits! I always have a visceral reaction to stuff from The Row, it's always utterly beautiful but so expensive compared to other designers!

At the other end of the price point, had a look through John Lewis website last night, looking for home stuff but ended up popping this French connection black lace velvet blouse in the basket too. I figure the way things are going I will at least be doing mostly work zoom calls for the next 3 months!

Another day of lounging about in the Bingley household. Although no housekeeper or cleaner for the last week so I have a massive ironing session planned in front of the tv. What's everyone else up to?
