Finished up a small Caudalie foaming face cleanser received as part of a gift set. Liked it and would consider purchasing in future. Liked it as a face wash in the morning for a freshen up but definitely need a separate make up remover.if using it at night. Repurchase won't be any time soon as have lots of facial cleansers and makeup removers in the stash.

tigerbear · 29/01/2020 20:10

@CherryMargo no I haven’t tried the other Paula’s Choice - what’s the difference between the two?

RiskIt4Biscuit · 30/01/2020 12:28

Finished a Maria Nila volume shampoo, 1 litre.

My DH uses this too and we both really like it (I also use the heal shampoo).

I think I have one more in the cupboard, and I will buy this again, when we actually need shampoo. I think we have several litres of shampoo so it may take years...

LizziesTwin · 30/01/2020 14:04

Threw away the dregs of a bottle of shampoo & a bottle of conditioner left from when I had a Brazilian straightening treatment

CherryMargo · 30/01/2020 17:42

@tigerbear Clear Regular Strength has a lighter, water-like formula and is milder with a slightly higher pH of 3.9 vs 3.5 of the Liquid Exfoliant. Clear Regular Strength has panthenol (B5) and hyaluronic acid, whilst Liquid Exfoliant has a green tea leaf extract.

P. S. There’s also a Paula’s Choice product called Clear Extra Strength 2% BHA Exfoliant which they claim has exactly the same formula as their Liquid Exfoliant. The question is if they are identical, why sell both?

Caggie09 · 31/01/2020 19:20

@Costacoffeeplease, PO said £4.10, im quite happy to cover the cost. If you'd still like it let me knowSmile

One empty today.

Nivea Micellair micellar water. Would possiby repurchase but not buying anymore until ive finished the rest in my stash! Think i prefer over the Garnier.

MikeAlphaMike · 31/01/2020 20:02

Not RTFT but am planning a clearout.

I have sort of put a stop to buying stuff but I have lapses. There was a bag of Dr Organics stuff in H&B that had been in the clearance section a while and although I had no need for it, I succumbed. It was like 3 products for the price of the cheapest and they are really nice.

I have probably enough make-up to last the rest of my life. Enough shower gel for the same.

I have used up a lot of the sample sizes and agree with the poster above me, a little sachet of eye cream lasts several days.

Some things do not hang around. It doesn't take long to use up a pot of moisturiser or a tube of toothpaste.

An empty tube of anything usually has loads left in it so I cut them and scrape the contents into a small tub.

Some things go off quickly - mascara gets whiffy within months, some lipsticks too, and some foundations separate.

Some products have surprised me by how good they are. The Boots No 7 stuff has surprised me. Body Shop stuff too. I have seen recommendations for things on S&B and some of them have been bargain finds.

I am finding the finishing stuff a bit of a chore. There are some product that I just don't really like using.

Costacoffeeplease · 31/01/2020 20:07

I would, please, @Caggie09 I’m still happy to pay if you want to send me a PayPal ref?

ememem84 · 31/01/2020 21:57

@CherryMargo I use dior black eyeliner pencil almost exclusively. It’s as the ysl one. Long lasting and has staying power. But at £19 (I think) a pencil it makes me wince when I have to buy it!!

Thankfully I don’t run out of it often!!!

ememem84 · 31/01/2020 21:57

Clarins shower gel finished. Smelt far too herby for my liking

Experiment627 · 01/02/2020 11:48

@Babysharkdoodoodood have you tried The Ordinary glycolic acid?

Wow so many empties!!! Awesome!!!

I have one:

  • Origins Perfect World night cream: this was good and I liked the smell however am switching back to the M&S one as have a small amount in stash plus got the 2 for 1 offer

Babysharkdoodoodood · 01/02/2020 18:18

@Experiment627 I'm going to try the Superdrug one mentioned earlier. Would've got it today but suffering from interstitial cystitis so feeling too crappy to go anywhere.
Chucked an Estée Lauder mini mascara I got in a box recently as I remembered that I can't tolerate it anywhere near my eyes. Stinging + tears = ugly panda. And my HG facial wash of Cetaphil for oily skin has finishedSad.

CherryMargo · 02/02/2020 01:34

@MikeAlphaMike oh yes, tube cutting can result in A LOT of extra product! ✂️ I also use tube squeezers… and Every Drop spatulas… and I scoop my lipsticks and lip balms out of the tubes with a lip brush until there’s nothing left… 🆘 🆘 🆘

@ememem84 I have never tried Dior pencils, but now I wanna try the one you use! I’ll add it to my ever-growing wish list! 📝

ememem84 · 02/02/2020 07:51

@CherryMargo I was given one by a colleague a while ago (she didn’t want it) and I’ve never looked back. They last they’re soft to go on and they’re long wearing.

I have about a million other eyeliner pencils to use up - a brown max factor one (which I use on days when I don’t want the harsh black) and loads of other freebee ones.

But when I next need to buy one I’m buying dior.

Caggie09 · 02/02/2020 12:35

@Costacoffeeplease, ill pm youSmile

Costacoffeeplease · 03/02/2020 11:33

Experiment627 · 04/02/2020 10:09

A few empties this week, all trial sizes, several espa moisturisers, weleda skin food, which I found too thick so used it up as hand cream, and a bare minerals skinlongevity serum, which was ok but won’t repurchase

Caggie09 · 04/02/2020 11:47

Elemis Pro-Collagen marine cream. Ive used this before and didnt think much pf ot, this time around i really liked it. I seen a difference within my skin and its never been dry when using it. Would repurchase when ive used all my others up!

Revlon foundation- HG for me. One more left before i repurchase on 3 for 2.

Being by Sanctuary salted caramel body wash. Really nice, i enjoyed it.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 04/02/2020 18:30

I have finished acsample size nivia soft cream. Still a lot of my huge soap and glory body butter to go its going to take months to finish!

LivingDeadGirlUK · 04/02/2020 18:32

Oh and i threw out a elizabeth arden blush quad. Its lost most its pigment but it was possibly 20 years old :o

Have a blush from my advent calender to use but its not a great shade on me. I'm more a bronzer kind of girl tbh.

RiskIt4Biscuit · 04/02/2020 22:54

I got the Weleda skin food cream in Waitrose a few weeks ago with 1/3 off, and I really don’t get the hype. Maybe the light version is better.

It’s really thick. I used it (very thin layer) on my face once overnight, as my skin felt very dry and tight. Next morning, I had a milia under one eye (and they tend to stick around) and a red patch under the other (thankfully gone now). The rest of my face felt just as dry as it did before. Not amused.

I’m using it on my hands/ very dry bits of my body only now, but it’s still a bit crap to be honest.

ememem84 · 05/02/2020 06:43

Soap n glory eye puff patches used up last night.

Costacoffeeplease · 05/02/2020 08:05

M&S sleep cream from the advent calendar finished last night

RiskIt4Biscuit · 05/02/2020 10:05

Luxury sample/travel size Clinique 7 day scrub cream finished. I don’t use this type of scrubs on my face anymore (use alpha h liquid gold instead) so used it on my legs.

Childs farm moisturiser grapefruit and tea tree oil. I really liked this one. I have a lot of other moisturisers to go through before buying new ones, but I could buy this again.
