I love the Estée Lauder ANR Eye, currently trying to find a cheaper alternative though!

Ponks · 25/01/2020 23:01

PS found it made a huge difference to my eyes at first when I used it overnight .. less effective over time but I think that's because I was eking it out as was so expensive.

RiskIt4Biscuit · 26/01/2020 10:04

Finished a pack of Simple cleansing facial wipes.
Bought them when packing my hospital bag when expecting my son.
They are just okay, and I will not buy them again - they don't get all of the makeup off and they aren't good for the environment.
Unfortunately I have more as I got a pack of 3. I will probably use them when travelling next month.

Costacoffeeplease · 26/01/2020 11:26

A sample of blue and shay framboise noir finished this morning

RiskIt4Biscuit · 26/01/2020 12:33

Ysl touche eclat pen finished.

There's nothing wrong with this one, but it doesn't do much for me. My mum loves it though.
I prefer a concealer like Nars or maybelline.

IPokeBadgers · 26/01/2020 19:42

A Simple Eye Make Up Remover finished...good for everyday eyemakeup removal...will probably repurchase in the future.

Also finished up a mini loccitane Shea butter Honey Harvest handcream that came as part of a Xmas pressie. Lovely, wouldn't purchase a full size version though.

Costacoffeeplease · 27/01/2020 11:02

Travel size Espa detoxifying body oil finished this morning

Babysharkdoodoodood · 27/01/2020 15:59

Bourjois bronzing primer. Bummed cos I can't get another one.
Palmers coconut cream. Had gone solid.
Bare minerals foundation.
I'm being ruthless as I go through my drawers in the morning.

LizziesTwin · 27/01/2020 21:37

Lancôme Hydra Zen Neurocalm gift set pot (15ml).

Costacoffeeplease · 28/01/2020 09:58

3 empties this morning, all from advent calendars - espa serum, lixirskin electro gel cleanser and M&S pure day cream. All fine but nothing special

RiskIt4Biscuit · 28/01/2020 10:06

Finished a Garancia Pschitt Magique. It’s a micropeel.

I’ve used it for years and have been quite happy with it, but I fancy a change.

It is quite expensive, but I may repurchase if I can’t find something similar.

tigerbear · 28/01/2020 12:00

@RiskIt4Biscuit that sounds v similar to something I use from Boots own range, which is totally HG product!
Boots Lift - Buff & Glow 60 second Polish. It’s only £12.99 but on offer regularly.
Just rub across dry skin, and all the flaky, dead or dry skin just lifts off! Sooo satisfying!
One of the very few things I’ve re-purchased.

RiskIt4Biscuit · 28/01/2020 15:39

Just had a look on the boots website and it looks really good. Tempted to order now as they’re on offer - 2 for £13.

RiskIt4Biscuit · 28/01/2020 15:47

Got so excited about that product that I forgot to say thank you for recommending it!

tigerbear · 28/01/2020 15:55

Ooh, @Riskit4Biscuit def order it if it’s on offer, don’t think you’ll be disappointed. I might stock up in Boots tomorrow.

Caggie09 · 28/01/2020 16:10

Beauty Bakerie Lash Icing. One of the best mascaras ive actually used before. Really enjoyed using this. I have another backup, moving onto a Maybelline one (I think!)

Drunk ElephantB hydra 5ml. I used this every other night with my retinol, i have two more mins, but trying different products. Might repurchase this one! Feels really refreshing on the face, i felt my skin looked so much nicer when using it too.

Aurelia miracle balm. Had little grainy things in it to exfoliate. Didnt like the feeling, not in a cleansing balm. Smells nice though!

Bought 3 packs of sheet masks from Aldi, even though they probably arent that benificial im willing to give them ago.

Ive only spent £23.50 this month on beauty products. Feel quite proudGrin

Caggie09 · 28/01/2020 16:22

Also does anyone use Laura Mercier setting powder? I got one in my SpaceNK advent and i powders make my face dry and flaky. Would anyone like it? Im happy to postSmile

Babysharkdoodoodood · 28/01/2020 20:53

I'm halfway through my last bottle of Aldi/Laura Pixi dupe of glow toner. Peed off that they're bot doing it now as it's HG Sad
Any recommendations as I don't want to pay £18 for the Pixi one?

Costacoffeeplease · 28/01/2020 23:23

@Caggie09 I’ve started using the Laura Mercier powder recently, I think I got it in last year’s liberty advent! I’ll happily pay postage as I’m in Portugal

CherryMargo · 29/01/2020 00:18

@Ponks thank you so much for your reply! I will add this cream to my Black Friday wish list in the hope that I can get it at a discount! 🙏

Meanwhile, I have the first makeup empty from my list of 20 that I aim to finish this year! 🥳

Yves Saint Laurent Dessin Du Regard pencil and blending tip in 1 noir (1.19 g) which expired 8 years ago 😨 I don't know how, but it was divine till its last application – highly pigmented, silky soft and gliding over my skin so gently!

The pencil comes with a sharpener, which is my HG (I still wanna try Urban Decay Grindhouse though 🧐), and – as it doesn’t crumble and doesn’t produce lots of shavings when you sharpen it – it lasts forever! I don’t remember how much I spent on it, so I’ve checked its current price, and it is £21😮 All I can say in my its defence is that it is worth every penny!😍

A total number of products left in the eye pencil category: 5.

P. S. Has anyone ever used Sephora Long Lasting kohl eye pencil (please see the attached photo)? Which sharpener did you use for it? It doesn’t fit into my YSL sharpener somehow 🤔

@Babysharkdoodoodood - Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Tonic is supposed to be a dupe for Pixi Glow. I’ve tried both, and don’t think there’s much difference between them. £2.98!

However, nothing beats the Paulas Choice BHA Liquid Exfoliant. Had a similar dilemma the other day - was really in two minds about repurchase, as I’m nearly finished the Norris, but it’s £27!!
Decided to bite the bullet and get it again, as it’s truly HG. I figured that it would be a false economy if I bought something that’s not HG, and lead to even more half finished products.

RiskIt4Biscuit · 29/01/2020 10:25

Binning a Colourpop ultra matte lip in Perky as I think it smells different. I’ve had it for a good few years and probably worn it 3 times.

I’m not a fan of the ultra mattes as they are so dry and uncomfortable, and I didn’t love the colour (bought online and looked lighter in the pictures than on me).

Also finished a Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops highlighter in Moonlight.
This was a mini from a gift set, and I really liked it. My mum kept complimenting my skin whenever I used this highlighter.

The only issue is the packaging - it’s a glass dropper bottle, and there is some left in the bottle, but I can’t it out as the dropper is too short, and I cannot be bothered with having to dip in with something else.

I have bought a dupe from Revolution (the full size cover fx is £34 which is obscene) and I think it is just as good.

Caggie09 · 29/01/2020 15:06

@Costacoffeeplease, no problem. Ill get a price from the PO tomorrow and ill let you know!Smile

Costacoffeeplease · 29/01/2020 15:11

Great thanks

CherryMargo · 29/01/2020 16:44

@tigerbear have you also tried Paula's Choice Clear Regular Strength 2% BHA Exfoliant? I’m torn between this one and the one you’ve mentioned, and I can’t afford to try both atm 🥺

@Caggie09 that's a bummer! I have Aurelia Miracle Cleanser waiting for its turn to be used (since June 2019 🤦), and was excited to try it until I read about the grainy things! 😖
