Finished a 30ml body shop argan oil hand cream, with help from 12yo DS whose hands are now lovely and soft! Replacing with the same from the stash.

Experiment627 · 30/06/2020 06:33

Blimey you guys have been busy!!!!

Welcome @mrsssk !!!!

@70isaLimitNotaTarget you are a pro!!! Great explanation!

My Boots haul arrived yesterday completely justified as needed to buy baby wipes and get free delivery!

What is this Moo Goo of which you speak? Any good for oily hair???

Welcome @IHeartSusanDey !!!

@LivingDeadGirlUK I really liked the Elemis mask too - and will likely buy once my stash is smaller

I have one empty:

  • The Body Shop almond face mask: absolutely adore this - the smell & how it makes my skin feel (soft and nourished). I try to use once a week at least. I already have a new one at the ready.

TBH my stash is getting bigger and bigger at the mo but trying new things and having old favourites near is helping me through tough times... and better this than some other addiction right????

Two more empties:

  • Astral face & body moisturiser: I use this every now and again as a night cream - goes in well and smells nice and is very inexpensive
  • Erno Laszio multi task eye serum mask: not sure where this came from - there were two sets inside; they do seem to nourish the under eye are but I am crap about using this type of thing so doubt I will buy

I’ve finished a 15ml Elemis veggie face mask (the range in the green tubes) which came from the Elemis advent calendar. I got four generous applications out of it which I think is good going.

I liked it - it left my skin soft and nourished, but I wouldn’t buy. It wasn’t amazing and I think there is probably better out there for the price. I have the Elemis Berry one to use next (another 15ml size) and I’m Looking forward to that after your praise of it.

Move had a run of empties this week, so probably won’t have any more for a month!

Experiment627 · 30/06/2020 13:03

Superdrug haul just arrived 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈.... there is no hope for me

A sea of empties again!

justilou1 · 30/06/2020 13:55

Powering through,@QueenCT!!!
I chucked out The Ordinary Alpha Lipoic Acid Serum. It was great, but a bit stingy because I now use Retin-A. I’d had it too long and it had changed colour and consistency. Not even sure they still make it, tbh, but it makes skin very glowy

CherryMargo · 30/06/2020 20:28

Makeup empty no. 3 🚮 Lumene Cranberry Kiss in 82 Our Dream (4.5 g) which I have had for so many years that I’m too embarrassed to say it 🤐 It was a bit dehydrating and the pigmentation was not mind-blowing. I wouldn’t repurchase but it was discontinued several years ago anyway. I couldn’t find an official product image with my shade, so I took a photo of my empty tube (you’ll see that I am a little bit obsessed determined when it comes to using up a lipstick! 😅).

A total number of products left in the lipstick category: 1 deluxe sample and 7 full-size products. All in bold colours. Like why?! I wear lipstick once a month at best! 😫

Suspect my daughter’s partially responsible for the sudden emptiness of the silver shampoo. Her hair looked marvellous today. 🙄👏🙄 I will repurchase.
The sample of “In shower scrub” was fine if you like that kind of thing. (Although awful name, and the scent was as pink as the sachet.) I wouldn’t repurchase as I don’t use scrubs. I have another I will use on my feet.

Bath & Body works lavender bubble bath. This is waay over priced! $14.50, or in pounds just over ten quid! Its not a big bottle, bubbles were nice and i enjoyed the scent. Id rather buy 10 bottles of radox. Its not a luxe product either, if i wanted to splash out, it wouldnt be on this!

Loreal fine flowes wipes. Got as a gift, last of the wipes! Seemed abit dry. Ohh, i cringe at the fact i used to just use a wipe and roll into bed.

Garnier Sakura sheet mask, currently sat with it on, lots of serum in the packet. I feel sheet masks are a must, will always have some in.

Will i succeed in no buy July?Wink I shall try!

LivingDeadGirlUK · 01/07/2020 20:15

That no oil, oil in the M&S beauty bag is amazing, I'm considering getting rid of the other 3 hair oils/serums I have in the stash.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 01/07/2020 20:17

Posted too soon, I've packaged up a load of make up to donate to 'Give and Make Up' this is mostly unused lip products in colours I wouldn't wear, nail varnishes, and a load of eye pencils in various browns (I only wear black as I'm quite brown so lighter colours don't show up). It's actually made a dent in my huge makeup box which is quite satisfying :)

WellTidy · 01/07/2020 21:52

I’m not getting on with the No Oil oil, probably because my hair is so fine. It leaves my hair too oily. Happy to send on to anyone who wants it, I have a brand new one from this summers m and s beauty box and one from another beauty box (I have only used it twice so loads left).

Sportycustard · 01/07/2020 23:10

Empty clarins cream cleanser sample size today. Was nice but probably ££££ when a ££ product is just as good.

Still have a number of sample size cleansers and 3 full size products to go!

justilou1 · 02/07/2020 00:09

I am going to have to break my no buy July already as I had whittled myself down into a bloody corner with cleanser and my sneaky DD has been using my shower and helping herself. According to DH there has been no lightbulb in her bathroom for a couple of weeks. 🤬 I am going shopping today!!! (Curel foaming cleanser x 2 - soooooo nice! Unscented and not remotely stripping. Great for quick wash in the morning or second cleanse in the evening. Awaiting delivery of Muji cleansing oil for getting rid of sunscreen. I really like Curel cleansing balm for travel for this purpose too!)

Costacoffeeplease · 02/07/2020 09:29

@WellTidy I’d live to take the no oil oil off your hands, but I’ll pay postage as I’m in Portugal

WellTidy · 02/07/2020 10:53

Sure Costa - just message me with your address. Great to be able to tick something off my list of things to use up so easily!

Costacoffeeplease · 02/07/2020 12:06

A few empties today

Full size Elemis collagen cleansing balm - a staple for me, more in the stash
Drunk elephant Sili body lotion. Quite a light formula but very strong marzipan smell which I hate so I hurried to use it up, will not be re purchasing

Samples
Eve Lom rescue mask
Caudalie dark spot correcting cream - not sure this did what it says on the tin
Verso super facial serum
Goldfaden MD vital boost even skintone moisturiser - again not sure it did anything

lockdownalli · 02/07/2020 12:30

I have news!!!!

For me, Benefit Porefessional is the HG of primers, no contest. I have big open pores on my nose and some thread veins. I used to be a heavy drinker so it's all self inflicted. Anyway, I haven't bought any for ages as I had so many samples etc to use up.

I just threw away an M&S primer today (blue tube, nothing to write home about) and tried the This Works In Transit Close Up primer as I am hosting a webinar this afternoon. Think it may have been in this summers M&S Beauty Box but not 100%.

Anyway - it's like bloody magic lads!!! My pores have disappeared. It's actually (whispers) better than Porefessional.

So happy. Also got rid of another of those ghastly tubes of ALong Came Betty body lotion. Thin and nasty.

I have the sakura mask Caggie was it any good? Also have the no oil oil and haven't tried it yet. Will report back.

Costacoffeeplease · 02/07/2020 16:35

I can report that my skin does feel very smooth and soft after the Eve Lom mask this morning

WellTidy · 02/07/2020 22:23

lockdownalli oooooooh this is indeed Big News. My HG of primers is Benefit Porefessional too. No porenissues, but I find it smooths incredibly well and I’ve never found anything that can match it. But when I’ve finished my primer stash (currently using a Clinique one), I will absolutely be following your recommendation!

CornishTiger · 02/07/2020 23:13

I am jumping on the having a no spend July too.
But..... I did open up my m&s beauty bag I got a few weeks ago. The colour wow shampoo and conditioner I loved. I’ll still just moo goo but when I have the need for something different I’ll use this.

Rediscovered some NYX eye crayons. And my lime life mascara I thought I’d lost or ditched. It’s nearly gone. Once all my mascaras are used up I’ll be repurchasing this one. It’s worth the £20. Lasts ages and perfect everytime.

CornishTiger · 02/07/2020 23:18

Just checked out the price of the Colour wow. It’s nearly £20 for a 250ml bottle. That won’t be happening!!

ememem84 · 03/07/2020 07:52

Mane and tail shampoo and conditioner finished.

lockdownalli · 03/07/2020 10:18

Finished a Tropic hand cream today - the green superfood hand therapy one. It's great, smells lovely. I have all their hand creams and balms ad they are all very good quality and smell wonderful.

My HG hand cream is Neals Yard Bee Lovely but I have about 10 hand creams to wade through before I can reorder Blush Currently on Aveeno which works but doesn't have any fragrance which is a bit disappointing.
