I’m still Using up my naked 2 pallette. I’m three shades panned. But since lockdown haven’t worn much makeup.

Ditched a bumble and bumble surf oil spray today. I used it a couple of times last week and it made my hair feel really sticky. Yuk.

Sportycustard · 22/05/2020 12:52

@experiment627 I use flexitol heel balm on my feet. It's amazing! I only need to use it for a couple of days to get the hard skin back under control and then I usually switch to using up a body butter on my feet (I seem to get two years worth every Christmas so my stash never goes down!)

Babysharkdoodoodood · 22/05/2020 17:43

Finished a Body Shop yoghurt. Maringa? Very floral and runny. Didn't do much for dry skin. Also Clarins bath and shower tonic. GWP. So herbal and so strong. ConfusedTook ages to use up as well.

Onto Rituals Happy Buddha shower foam and body butter now.

Babysharkdoodoodood · 22/05/2020 17:44

@Sportycustard I buy the huge tubs of flexitol from amazon. Lasts me a year! Missing my chiropodist so much.

Caggie09 · 22/05/2020 18:02

Pixi Rose Tonic only a mini. It was okay, of over Rose scented products now, but i am moving onto Fresh Rose toner next. I use it as a soothing toner before retinol. Pixi do a milky tonic which is really like to try, ill purchase that once im through the Fresh toner.

DukeOfEarlGrey · 22/05/2020 21:16

The key to using up a whole palette is to get the kind where you pick your own single shadows and click them into a special palette so there are no dud colours. That’s the only reason I was able to use the Chantecaille one up and it was so satisfying!

Experiment627 · 23/05/2020 10:01

@DukeOfEarlGrey a whole pallet??? WOW!!! I am very impressed! Amazeballs tip!
Please tell me more about the Living Proof shampoo?

Thanks everyone for all the feet recommendations!

Two empties:

  • Filorga NCEF-Reverse supreme multi-correction cream 7ml: not sure what it corrected but was nice enough
  • Decleor aroma cleanse (Neroli) 10ml: gorgeous smell

The Living Proof shampoo is the Restore range in the purple bottle. It’s pricey but I was lured in by a sample of the equally good mask from the same range that came as a mini in a Space NK GWP. I don’t know what’s so special about it but it makes my hair (long, thick, not coloured) super soft and shiny 😮

CantChoose · 24/05/2020 07:10

Ive used up an absolutely ancient trial sachet of an Une foundation. I probably should have just thrown it away but it was good enough for a zoom call!

Costacoffeeplease · 24/05/2020 10:34

3 empties today, Prai night neck and décolletage cream - really like this and already use the day products
Elemis pro collagen marine oil - this didn’t seem to sink in and left my skin quite oily, or maybe I just used too much
Tarte black eyeliner. Went on well, but have soooo many to use up before repurchasing

Costacoffeeplease · 26/05/2020 11:11

And a few more
Avant hyaluronic acid moisturiser - trial size so not sure if it’s made any difference
Nip and fab hand cream, have lots of these in the stash
Skin sense neck and décolleté cream
Mádara eye cream, seems fine but again not sure if it made a lot of difference

DukeOfEarlGrey · 26/05/2020 19:49

Weleda Skin Food. Was too heavy as a face cream so used up as hand cream on my poor Dettol-soaked mitts. Worked well!

LivingDeadGirlUK · 26/05/2020 20:49

I used up a small pot of elizabeth arden body souffle on my legs. Scared to think how old it is. Nothing special but that could be down to age!

Caggie09 · 26/05/2020 22:05

Eos lipbalm. Gets abit hard to use when the dome shape goes. Does the job, nothing exciting..

justilou1 · 26/05/2020 22:55

Finally bought some body shop yoghurt today. (Shops are open here.) I couldn’t choose between Moringa and Grapefruit so accidentally bought both. The Hemp hand cream fell into my shopping basket also. So good on the paws which are so rough from washing, washing, washing and extra sanitizing. (I put some on in bed last night and DH said “You stink of Hippies!” - couldn’t argue.) I still prefer the Weleda Sea Buckthorn one (scent and texture) but I couldn’t find it anywhere yesterday and I had managed to use up all the mini craptastic fruit and flower scented hand creams floating around the house as body creams and foot lotions for the last few weeks. Suspect I have used about ten. They are no longer welcome in my house. (Any gifted shall be kept to be regifted to MIL.)

Experiment627 · 28/05/2020 08:48

@justilou1 well these accidents do happen!!!

Two empties here:

  • Shay & Blue Black Tulip 10ml spray: not a fan
  • Crabtree & Evelyn Citron hand recovery: Lord knows how old this was - belongs to my mum. Have used up on my feet which still need a lot of work

Empty no. 25 🚮 Eve Lom Moisture Cream (8 ml; GWP) received in November 2019. I couldn’t find its manufacture date so it could be past its shelf life before I opened it.

Thick ivory white cream with a very subtle scent which promises 72 hours of hydration. It felt like it created a very thin film on my skin which definitely locked all the moisture in but I wasn’t sure if it actually provided any hydration by itself IYSWIM. For something that costs £105 for 50 ml, it has a very small % of quality ingredients (each one makes up less than 0.9% of the formula). It also broke me out after the very first use (either ‘thanks’ to synthetic fragrance chemicals or by creating that film which suffocated my skin).

A total number of products left in the face cream category: 1 sample and 1 full-size product.

Wish I could get Flexitol here. My feet are truly embarrassing. I have purchased silicone heel covers to wear under my socks at night to stop the socks absorbing my foot cream. Weirdest feeling ever. Definitely prevents DH from getting any ideas. (Bonus! 🤣)

justilou1 · 28/05/2020 11:02

Wow! I had no idea Eve Lom is so expensive! It would want to be bloody maaaahvellous for that price! I have ordered some more Andalou Naturals Hyaluronic DMAE Lift & Firm Cream. It was 40% off and I’m on my last pot so I ordered two. I can’t see myself meandering too far from this little miracle. They didn’t have my favourite sunscreen so I am branching out to try another “flavour” from the same brand while it’s on sale. This qualifies me for free postage, and if I don’t like it I can give it to my one of my DDs for her bday, so winning there.

ememem84 · 28/05/2020 19:59

Clinique eye cream and sanctuary body butter. Done.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 29/05/2020 11:31

Finished a coconut lip balm from the Body Shop. Actually finished, not lost, not left too long so its gone manky, actually finished :o

Have several other body shop flavors to use now, as well as some chap sticks and a burts bees stick.

Babysharkdoodoodood · 29/05/2020 13:52

I resisted the M & S beauty box. And now it's sold out so I don't have the option. Yeay!

Caggie09 · 29/05/2020 19:26

I looked at the m&s beauty box, but the products didnt excite me.

Patcholgy night eye gels. Nice enough, i like you use them every so often.

Co LAB dry shampoo + extreme volume. Made my scalp really itchy, was really hard to brush the product out my hair. Really thick, not a fan.

Johnson cleansing wipes pink pack. I never use wipes, got as a gift. They worked really well, it took all my foundation off. Id repurchase if i needed wipes though.

OGX B5 shampoo, i have loaes of this in my stash. I liked it this time round, didmt the first time.

Treaclemoon ginger shower gel. Nice and refreshing for these hot days. Really want fruity fresh smells when its so hot!

justilou1 · 31/05/2020 01:32

Awful, industrial-sized bottle of shower gel that DH bought done. Was supposed to be iris-scented. It smelled instead like cheapo laundry liquid, and I don’t know what attracted him to the bottle in the first place. (I’m guessing it was cheapo.) Very drying - hence my need for two BS body yoghurts. (Delightful, by the way. Thanks for the recommendation!)
L’Oreal Pureology Hydrate Sheer Shampoo & Conditioner done. Expensive, but I love them. Mostly because they feel cooling and refreshing and smell divine, but also because they don’t weigh my hair down. (It’s like cat hair, not people hair.) I am contemplating buying the salon size from Amazon.
L’Oreal Magnesium Silver Shampoo... I don’t bleach my hair, but the water here is treated with chlorine and god knows what else, and makes it really yellow anyway. I don’t enjoy looking like a duckling and this is the only purple shampoo that hasn’t made my scalp mega itchy! (I only use it once a week, so it’s not on high rotation.)

Caggie09 · 31/05/2020 17:18

Maybelline Lash Sensational. Not my fave, but also not the worst. Has anyone found a HG mascara?!
