New Year, new thread!!!! Continuing the great work already started!!!

This thread is for those that LOVE beauty products... so much so they hoard them, and covet them and behold the beauty that they contain 🥰🥰🥰🥰

@justilou1 It was my first encounter with Antipodes, and I was left impressed! 😍 I have three more Antipodes products in my stash, and I look forward to trying them! None of them are the kiwi seed eye cream though, so I am going to add it to my wish list. Thank you very much for the recommendation! 😉

Costacoffeeplease · 27/04/2020 11:27

Ooh that looks interesting but I have so much to use up, I have to be strong 😄

Today I’ve had a pamper session and used a rodial dragons blood lip mask, 111skin black diamond eye mask and star skin 2 step face mask. I can definitely see a difference after the eye mask, under eye area is smoother and looks tighter

Also used a trial size Avant illuminating day cream

Costacoffeeplease · 27/04/2020 11:52

Also a full size Judith Williams serum, another in the stash

Crazybunnylady123 · 27/04/2020 12:25

L’occitaine melting honey shea body butter used up and Dead Sea spa Magik shampoo/conditioner 25ml used up.
Hopefully a face mask will be finished this evening too!

CornishTiger · 27/04/2020 14:18

Pulled out what I’m going to focus on using up first. Sukin range is really nice but I’ve had a lot of it hanging around for a while.

Not keen on oil cleansers so will be glad when it’s used. Mostly use that one for night time. Love body shop camomile balm and Orlando’s cleanser ( got another two stashed).

Have had this toner and toothpaste part used for ages.

The eye therapist massagers feel so good and have encouraged me to use eye cream more often. As I’m over 40 should have done it a long time ago.

Any recommendations for upper lips lines. Recently started smoking again and need to stop.

Caggie09 · 27/04/2020 18:16

Soaper Duper fig body butter. They do a lemon one that i really want to try. Cant wait to have a good shop in Boots when this is all over!

S&G Call of Fruity scrub. I love the scent on this, smells like them peach haribos!! Will be repurchasing purely because of the scent.

I did also see the Liberty GWP, but im going to hold out as SpaceNK usually do one in May..

LivingDeadGirlUK · 27/04/2020 22:49

Finished a Tesco aloe vera antibac liquid handsosp, I dont usually buy antibac products bit its nice. Now starting on some M&S rose soaps I got for christmas.

justilou1 · 27/04/2020 23:24

@CornishTiger, of course giving up is going to help, but you need something to temporarily plump it all out. I find the Laneige lip sleeping mask has really helped plump out my lips with consistent use (and I use it as a balm during the day as well). It might help. If it is outside the lip, I would hit Hada Labo Anti-aging range because it has multimolecular Hyaluronic Acid & retinol. Supposed to be very gentle and very effective. I am using the Whitening range from Japan and am loving it. (Wonderful on melasma and sun-damage that has been there for decades!)

Experiment627 · 28/04/2020 10:04

@Crazybunnylady123 what was the Dead Sea hair stuff like? My scalp is so sore thinking this might help...

I have 3 empties:

  • Childs Farm baby moisturiser: this is a staple for me - I love the fragrance and it sinks in real fast it is great when in a rush
  • L'Occitane Verveine Menthe shower gel: was given this as a baby shower gift and actually gave to my mum not realising this was a much nicer variation of the Verbena range. I much prefer this. Anyhoo was just using up little left so cannot take full credit.
  • Glamglow glowstarter nude glow: ok but not amazeballs

Crazybunnylady123 · 28/04/2020 12:13

@Experiment627 I actually really liked it, but I washed and dried my hair in the morning and the next day my eyes were sore. So I think there’s something in it that upset me!
I never seem to over buy shampoo and conditioner. I have a L’occitane set to use next and then I think I’m out.
I have used Madara shampoo and that’s been really good. Maybe give that a try? I have dry and sensitive skin.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/04/2020 17:45

Finished a Tesco aloe vera antibac liquid handsoap

Oh this does smell nice , I have some in the kitchen and my DS uses it and wafts about fragrantly (as fragrant as a 20yo student will ever be Grin )

Caggie09 · 28/04/2020 19:03

Nexxus oil infinite hair mask. Since lockdown ive got my hair into a routine, wash twice a week. Hair mask fortnightly and i scrub my scalp once a month. Im a sucker for a routine🙈 It also means im actually using stuff instead of just sitting until a "special occasion"- which is rare.

I liked this mask though, my hair looked glossy and the scent lingered on my hair until the next day. Trying to keep my hair in good condition until i can get it cut!

CornishTiger · 28/04/2020 20:57

Thank you justilou1 I’ll check them out and I’m cutting down now so quitting is next step.

I’m using up vosene ( trying to strip hair colour out) that I’d been keeping for nits but the kids hate it so best it’s just gone. Using up a joico conditioner with it as shampoo from same range long used up.

Was going to use up child’s mini top to toe body washes but I’ll keep them for swimming- one day we’ll get to go again.

Used up a dove body wash and Johnson’s top to toe that we’ve had a million years!

Now using a fake soap and glory body wash but mostly use just bar soap. Next the loccitane honey body wash will be used which I don’t particularly like.

It’ll nice to get half used bottles done and move onto the stuff I have saved.

justilou1 · 28/04/2020 22:03

Nits not a likely scenario for a while yet. There’s a blessing, I guess..... you don’t have to use those bloody combs and stinky shampoos! (Have been very lucky so far and have managed to avoid nit infestations. Suspect we all must taste icky, as I’ve never had them, and neither have any of my teens. Knock on wood!)

CornishTiger · 28/04/2020 23:32

Yeah no nuts for a while here and when we do we just use nitty gritty and cheap conditioner tbh.

Just used up my £2 find in tkmaxx. Natures response ARGAN OIL, SEA KELP & JOJOBA LIQUID SOAP 500ML - £7.99 rrp.

Would never had paid rrp for it but £2 was cheap and got three decent ones just before hand wash became stockpiled so was all good for supplies here.

justilou1 · 29/04/2020 01:59

We have used up a giant refill bottle of citrus & mint Dettol foaming hand soap. Lovely scent, but I’m a hand washer (nursing student) and my paws are wizened and chapped. Also, my kids seem to go through the foam at a greater rate of knots than regular liquid soaps. I suspect they use it like in the video link below, despite being 13, 13 & 15 and all knowing my feelings on the subject. (There is dried out, fossilized soap foam along with the crusty toothpaste on their bathroom sink, mirror & bench I am refusing to clean.)

Sorry for posting the link twice. You’ve probably already seen her anyway. If you haven’t, and you have kids, I recommend watching her. There’s no way you won’t be able to relate - except for the weird, Canadian milk in a bag thing.

ememem84 · 29/04/2020 07:03

Nip and fab scrub used up. Won’t re buy. Didn’t like it much.

Moved onto a mini soap and glory vit c cleanser. From advent calendar. I really liked the fulm size one I had last year. It man it lasted ages!!!

winterisstillcoming · 29/04/2020 08:46

Finished my Schwarzkopf live shampoo. I've upgraded myself to their pro version. I'm finally seeing some space between things in my beauty cupboard too!

Sportycustard · 29/04/2020 20:17

Can I join you now I have an empty to report? Been lurking and being inspired for a few weeks.

I've been working through my disappointing, half used hair products whilst I only have to appear on zoom calls.

Finished a Charles Worthington thicker and fuller hair product this morning. Don't know about thicker and fuller it was more like gloopy and sticky so I won't be repurchasing.

Next to use up is a GHD volumising mousse. For £10 I expected more but will use it up while a headset squashes any last bit of volume out of my hair during the day.

CornishTiger · 29/04/2020 21:58

Sportycustard welcome!

justilou1 · 30/04/2020 04:12

Empty L’Oreal Smartbond Hairmask. (L’Oreal’s version of Olaplex I think.) I am not going to say it’s worked miracles, but my hair is cat-hair fine and I had foils for the first time (aged 48) just before lockdown, so I’m doing what I’m told in case I go bald. (In other words, I don’t know any better!)

DukeOfEarlGrey · 30/04/2020 05:04

New to this thread but excited by how lockdown is helping me get through my make up stash - am using all my ‘not quite right’ makeup up as am confident no one at work can see it so clearly on video conferencing!

@justilou1 - not in the spirit of the thread but I love your taste in makeup and am coveting some of your stash! where is this palette from please?

Beauty Hoarders anonymous - you have got to be in it to win it!!!!
justilou1 · 30/04/2020 09:27

Oooh... you will hate me. It’s a NARS face & eye palette called Summer Lights and I use it almost every day. It’s my very favourite and I think you would have to call every NARS stockiest to try and find one. (It’s from last Summer, and it’s perfection.) Meanwhile, keep your eyes peeled because they tend to release something similar every year and if the tone is good for you, you can’t go wrong!
