This thread is for those that LOVE beauty products... so much so they hoard them, and covet them and behold the beauty that they contain 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Typical always another empty product once ive already posted.

Garnier heat protection milk. Thought this was for dry hair, its for wet hair only. Bought 3, used one. Doesnt really benefit me really.

justilou1 · 22/04/2020 09:44

Rexona Clinical Protection Deodorant Cream... honestly, this stuff stinks, and it doesn’t work as well as the roll on, tbh. It’s three times the price and it lasts two weeks compared to about a month. Won’t be buying again! (It’s hot and humid where I live and I’m menopausal. I use twice a day.)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 22/04/2020 16:17

I used up a load of Waitrose Vit C tablets , doing a Hair Dye De-Tox in the plans to go grey . (I haven't used hair dye for months now so it's as good a time as any ) DD was concerned my hair would go green but I said as long as I turn up for work, no-one will care what colour my hair is Grin

BodyShop Mango showergel finished . It's ok but I prefer Pink Grapefruit .

Experiment627 · 22/04/2020 16:41

@70isaLimitNotaTarget please provide more details... you bathed your hair in vitamin C? 🧐

This is not strictly empty but as it is growing mould I am chucking:

  • Lush Happy Happy Joy Joy conditioning hair perfume: I really love the smell and brings back memories of a yoga retreat when I had just started TTC... but unfortunately it just adds more grease to my oil slick hair....

BTW am trialling a new hair washing approach - has not got rid of oily roots situation but is helping dry ends issue: I wet hair, condition ends and then apply shampoo

Grin Experiment - it's instead of ColoutB4 (which I've never used and I'm told stinks of manky rotten egg)

A few years ago, I used a Semi P mahogany mixed with a mid brown, it didn't give me lovely plummy tones it was purple with pink where my grey is .
One use of Vit C sorted it but it took a couple of days to show the true result .
Red tones are the easiest to fade though, I'd had the dye in maybe 3 weeks and it wasn't shifting Grin

At the moment my hair is shoulder length, some coppery ends and brown/grey roots . I'm going for Silver so planning a Grow-the-Grey and a trim when I can.
I'll know by tomorrow if it's worked .

I used 30 tablets , done in the NinjaBullet to powder , a good squirt of some Superdrug Dandruff shampoo , left 2 hours .
Good dose of some Superdrug mask and just rinsed today .
I'll do a proper shampoo tomorrow and see if it's worked .

I've attached two photos from before (this was a couple of years ago ) - these are 100% true pictures , they were taken by DD

I've finished a Body Shop Shea handcream, not really that into this tbh much nicer scents available. I think I might have finished all the handcream in my stash :O

I'm going to use a little 60ml Green tea body lotion, again from the body shop and see how that goes before I commit to buying anymore.

LivingDeadGirlUK · 22/04/2020 19:50

Does anyone else have a never ending tub of S&G righteous butter? I really like it but had been hoping to finish it before the summer as body butters are a bit heavy when its hot, still half left!

justilou1 · 22/04/2020 22:34

Do you find the righteous butter actually moisturising @LivingDeadGirlUK? I’ve almost given up on my lizard legs. That product is currently sitting in a virtual shopping cart. Does it sink in or just coat your legs?

Experiment627 · 23/04/2020 08:12

@70isaLimitNotaTarget ah so to correct a dye situation? Will bear in mind for when I can do my roots again!

@LivingDeadGirlUK wow! Well done on ending your hand cream stash! What will you go on to now?

I have an empty!

  • Body Shop full-size British Rose hand cream: I like the scent but I find the cream too light... feels like there is alcohol in there

Can I join please?

I have read on and off for years. Time to take control of my hoard. Last June I made a list of the various cleansers and moisturisers serums etc I had to use up and what was left to start. Of course I’ve bought more. I really need to decide what I like and don’t and decide if it’s worth using up.

Make up I am not too bad with. Well that might be a lie actually but I don’t buy as much. I have unopened mascaras bought cheaply but I’m going to pass those onto my stepdaughter post lockdown. I know the one I like now but that hasn’t stopped me buying another expensive one!

LivingDeadGirlUK · 23/04/2020 09:00

@justilou1 yeah I really like it but I do find butters a bit much in summer.

CornishTiger · 23/04/2020 09:04

I’ve pulled out the lighter moisturisers I need to use up.

Will do the same with the cleansers, balls and serums after work

Caggie09 · 23/04/2020 12:52

@justilou1, im using a Soaper Duper body butter at the minute and i think thats really good. Could try a body shop body yogurt if you want something thats not heavy for summer!

justilou1 · 23/04/2020 18:28

Thanks for the tip, @Caggie09! I remember trying a BS yoghurt one in the stores (once upon a time when we could do that kind of thing....) and it was delicious. We don’t have Soaper Duper here, unfortunately.

Experiment627 · 23/04/2020 18:30

Welcome @CornishTiger !!!!

Oh yes @Caggie09 I like the yogurts!!

I’m thinking the grapefruit one... which are your favourites?

Experiment627 · 24/04/2020 07:14

@justilou1 I have only ever used the Pink Grapefruit one which I adore the smell of

Caggie09 · 25/04/2020 19:40

Ohh enjoy when it arrives!

Sephora cleansing water mini. Probably wouldnt get this again..

justilou1 · 25/04/2020 22:21

Ha! Just discovered how much it costs AND the cost of postage. That’s back on the drawing board!

CherryMargo · 26/04/2020 09:20

Empties no. 18 & 19 🚮 Antipodes Grace Gentle Cream Cleanser (120 ml; £18.70) + its sample sachet (5 ml; GWP).

What I really appreciated about this purchase was that a full-size tube came with a free 5 ml sample sachet. And I could safely return an unopened full-size product and get a refund if I didn't like the sample.

This cleanser has fantastic ingredients and is not tested on animals. I loved its scent but it started to fade four months after opening. It is too gentle to use as a makeup remover, but wonderful as a morning cleanse, because it doesn’t strip all the moisture out of my skin and leaves it soft and supple. The drawback of having all-natural ingredients is short expiry (6 months). I used it every single morning since I opened it, and 120 ml lasted 9 months and 8 days. The 5 ml sample provided 10 applications.

I will re-purchase, if nothing else from my stash can beat it.

A total number of products left in the face cleanser category: 5 foil sachets and 5 full-size products.

Only empty to report -
Burts Bees Bath&Shower . It's DDs not mine , bought to go in her Christmas advent (that I make for her . Labour of love , she likes skincare , bath&body, files and buffers for her nails and hair products . It works out a bit ££ than pre-made but I try to get some BOGOF or 3for2. And I know she'll use it all. And it forms part of her Christmas presents )

I tidied the Cupboard Under The Sink and swapped over some things .
CUtS is all "in use" , sealed items in a plastic chest of drawers ...it is looking sparse !

I have put an order with Superdrug . Some are only Click&Collect though.

justilou1 · 26/04/2020 23:52

@CherryMargo - Antipodes products are just gorgeous, aren’t they? Have you tried their kiwi seed eye cream? Expensive, but divine. (Also lasts for ages!) Great if you have dry, sensitive eyes.

winterisstillcoming · 27/04/2020 09:58

Bottle of olaplex finished for me. I'm using it diligently as I've not had my hair cut since November and it's bleached. Luckily I repurchased a trade bottle from my hairdresser pre lockdown.

I've also resisted the Liberty GWP that's on. Aaaaarrrghhh. I really want it but the products are not any that I would use normally and I have plenty of the ones I do so I'm giving it a miss and likely to regret it.
