Gutted to be throwing away a Leighton Denny sparkley sliver polish. First polish ive used thinner on and its not worked! It came out of an m&s advent 3 years ago possibly..

Dove body wash.

Skinnydip raspberry bath syrup, got a set of 3 in Boots boxing day sale. No idea why i buy these things. When a radox one is cheaper and do the same job.

Miss Patisserie banana popcorn bath slab. Really wanted this to smell like banana. It didntSad

ememem84 · 17/04/2020 07:53

On my use ups list at the moment are:

  • max factor primer
  • simple cleansing gel
  • white company hand cream

I’m basically not wearing much make up at the moment so the primer isn’t being used...

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/04/2020 12:12

Both hair masks gone , I ladled them on and slept in them.
Only problem is , heavy dose of coconut oil ( it didn't smell coconut , my DD doesn't like it) but my scalp reacts really badly Sad

So I have mega scabby scalp - zero chance of putting dye near it .

Costacoffeeplease · 17/04/2020 12:20

A few empties this week
Small sizes of philosophy cream hand cream, scent is a bit strong but nice hand cream
Grow gorgeous hair conditioner, only lasted two washes so difficult to tell if it did anything
Origins Ginzing moisturiser gel, nice orange scent and light gel but still moisturising. I would re purchase this
Full size Elemis pro collagen cleansing balm. Love this and have several more in the stash
Full size Judith Williams purifying face toner - nice and refreshing, another one in the stash

ClientQ · 17/04/2020 19:10

Another load of empties Grin

DH has gone to mow his DF’s five acres, so I should have time to get started with photos of hoard. (Sound like a dragon sitting on gold under a mountain, don’t I? Maybe Gollum... “Preciousssss”) Anyhow, here is a list of my empties since February
CeraVe PM Moisturiser - love, but too expensive here as have to order via VitaHerb. Not worth it, considering
Andalou Naturals Rose Foaming Cleanser (Third one, have another going atm)
Daiso Puff & Sponge Cleaner x 2 - staple product
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid & B5 Serum 60mls Was a staple but loving Hada Labo more now
Dr Dennis Gross Ferulic & Retinol Triple Correction Eye Serum 5ml free sample. Fab product, but would never shell $160 out for this.
Andalou Lift & Firm Cream DMAE 50g - I love this cream. I have repurchased while on sale. It is a cheaper and better dupe for DE Protini.
Zara Vetiver & Pamplemousse EDP 90ml (Lovely, lovely fragrance, but never used one up so fast in my life. So disappointed because I just loved it.)
MCo Beauty Xtend Lash Mascara X 2 best tubing mascara ever. Staple product.
Guerlain Aqua Allegoria - Herba Fresca - an old favourite! I’d repurchase, but I have too much fragrance atm.
Carven - Carven EDP. Love, but maybe a bit sweet for summer. Perhaps better between seasons.
Andalou Probiotic + C Brightening Cream (NR - Loved it, but have replaced with DMAE Cream)
Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Nectarine - present from MIL. It didn’t suit me, so I didn’t really wear it. I thought I would try using it up, but it had gone off, so I binned it. 100ml
400ml L’Oreal Micellar Shampoo with Aloe
400ml L’Oreal Micellar Shampoo Hydrating
400ml L’Oreal Micellar Aloe Conditioner
Rexona roll on deodorant x 4
Make P:Rem Blue Ray sunscreen gel 50++++ x1
Andalou Naturals 1000 roses cc cream 30+ (natural tan) - perfect colour for me, but can’t handle the strong smell of too long beside a hospital bed in a foetid vase roses. The sunscreen is very effective and lasts all day.
Andalou Naturals Vitamin C Brightening BB Balm 30+ - I prefer this one, although it has a sheer tint and virtually no coverage. It smells divine though. Again, fab sunscreen. More moisturizing than the rose one.

Palettes & Eyes - please note that this is all AFTER I have edited my stash extensively. I would say that I am down to somewhere between a quarter and one third of what I had before. Anything unopened was donated to a shelter and everything else was given to friends and daughters.

@70isaLimitNotaTarget sorry your scalp is sore... what do you do to soothe it?

Well done on all the empties!!!!

@justilou1 lovely stash!!

3 more empties!!!

  • M&S Formula Targeted treatment for eyes and lips: taste yucky so tried on eyes and think it has caused whiteheads 🙄🙄🙄
  • Murad AHA/BHA exfoliating cleanser (30ml): I LOVED this!!! Really want to get full size and will once I have reduced my current stock a bit
  • Drunken Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil 8ml: no smell, ok but not a wow in hydration
OP posts:
70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/04/2020 11:44

Ah thanks Experiment - I just need to let it calm, it's feeling less frazzled today (but I won't risk dye just yet) .
I have a touch of psoriasis and the stress at the moment does it no favours . Couple of days with Body shop Ginger s+c will sort it .

and with Infection Control, daily hair washing is recommended until we can get headcovers (soon hopefully , I don't think my hair is keen on daily washes)
I just need to stay away from coconut oil !

Experiment627 · 18/04/2020 16:51

@70isaLimitNotaTarget - are you sure it’s not seborrheic dermatitis? (The coconut oil is a give away.) Does it help if you use a medicated shampoo like Nizoral? (Stinks, sorry)

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/04/2020 21:55

just I've never had it looked at but my DMum and two cousins have psoriasis and it looks the same and follows stress / flare . (And at the moment stress levels are way up !)
I had a Google at S.D. they do look similar .
I cannot avoid stress but I can avoid coconut .
(Except mini Bounty bars in tubs of Heroes) Grin

One of our guinea pigs had dry skin (he was a coarse coat breed) with dry skin in his ears . We rubbed warmed edible coconut oil on his ears and melted in water to give him a pre bath soak. It helped him 100% ....but not me !

justilou1 · 18/04/2020 22:51

Seborrheic dermatitis feels like little tiny pimply burns initially, if that helps. It seems to also be related to prematurely thinning hair, so you might want to get on top of it. It’s almost like an autoimmune reaction to your own sebum. (Obviously oils don’t help, and hair follicles get blocked up and waxy.) I ended up being prescribed spironolactone and minoxidil for thinning hair which has dried up hair follicles and that has fixed up SD issues (secondary benefit) but it was getting worse and worse as I aged.

justilou1 · 18/04/2020 22:54

Sorry - I left a whole chunk out where I would recommend seeing a dermatologist (after the crisis, obvs) who specializes in scalp problems and seeing what they have to say about it. It would be good to get photos during a flare-up if you can. (With a pencil or ruler for scale.)

CupoTeap · 19/04/2020 08:06

3x L'occtaine handcreams done.

I'm also counting all the soaps/hand wash I put in the bathrooms I use with the extra hand washing a couple of weeks ago.

ememem84 · 19/04/2020 09:37

Clarins foaming facial wash gone. Using up my nup& fab exfoliating face wash next. I don’t like it so may turn it into a body scrub to get rid quicker

Costacoffeeplease · 19/04/2020 12:11

Trial size Aromatherapy Associates body gel finished, again not really enough to form an opinion
Small Espa energising shower gel, just one use
Living Proof perfect hair day - this has been quite good, my hair is fairly obedient but this has helped give it some bounce

IPokeBadgers · 19/04/2020 17:48

Some empties:

A Crabtree and Evelyn handcream (small). Carribbean wildflowers or something. Liked it, think it was a repurchase but won't buy again anytime soon as I have two more C&E handcreams unopened, and an unfinished Loccitane Shea butter handcream (large) currently on the go.

There are also several Rituals and Body Shop handcreams/balms kicking about the stash unopened so I must refrain from buying more at the moment.

Also pleased to come to the end of two bars of soap...one in shower, one at sink, so have made the selection of replacements from the stash and that always makes me happy...new bars of soap are very satisfying 😁

Also chucked a Superdrug face suncream...it had gone gritty which apparently means the active ingredients have crystallised and therefore it was useless. Felt bad as it was wasteful so am going to make more effort to use sunscreen on my face more often as I have another couple of small bottles kicking about that I believe are ok.

Good intentions and all that!

Caggie09 · 19/04/2020 18:51

Elemis Soothing Apricot toner 200ml. I think used this to quickly, could of made it last longer. Nice toner, think cheaper would do the same though. Wouldnt shell out £25 on a toner..

I do have a £5 birthday voucher to use, so will scroll the site and see what i can pick up. My SpaceNk order should cone tomorrow wity my birthday freebies too!

justilou1 · 19/04/2020 22:57

I am looking through all my skincare hoard and double-checking which actives are more likely to expire (or already likely to be cactus because it’s been so hot here for so very long. God, I love the idea of a beauty fridge!) I power through sunscreen, so don’t have much of that. I have a few serums that I’m not overly enamoured with. Might mix in with body lotion and see if I turn into a supermodel. Why can’t I bring myself to throw things away???

Costacoffeeplease · 20/04/2020 12:54

A few more trial sizes today
Rodial bee venom cleansing balm - nice consistency and scent
Origins soothing treatment lotion - most toners seem much the same to me
Sukin rejuvenating day cream - haven’t noticed much rejuvenation but nice enough
Genie instant line smoother - I like this and have te purchased, slight tightening feeling but small lines do look smoother

Costacoffeeplease · 20/04/2020 13:09

And a Mally brow pencil, but I’ve got another to replace it

Experiment627 · 21/04/2020 16:47

I have an empty!!

  • Lavera organic wild rose deodorant: works, not overly scented - would get again but have many deodorants to use up at my mum's
OP posts:
Caggie09 · 21/04/2020 19:05

Mitchum roll on Fresh Flowers. Not my go to scent tbh..
